The James Wan-produced reboot of Mortal Kombat is currently gearing up to shoot in Australia, with both writer Greg Russo and director Simon McQuoid set to make their feature debuts on the video game adaptation. With the start of production looming ever closer, the movie has been finalizing its cast in recent weeks, and it’s now been confirmed that another three actors have boarded the project.
Jessica McNamee, best known for appearing in Battle of the Sexes and The Meg, has signed on as Sonya Blade while Josh Lawson, who starred in all five seasons of Showtime comedy House of Lies, will be getting fitted with the signature cybernetic eye of Kano. Lewis Tan, who can currently be seen in Netflix action series Wu Assassins, is also in talks to join the movie in an as-yet-unspecified role.
Interestingly, Tan already has previous involvement in the Mortal Kombat franchise...
