The team-up mechanic in Marvel Rivals is one of the most creative things we’ve seen in a hero shooter in a long time. The different team-ups in the game are extremely creative and really add another layer to the typical hero shooter formula that we know. And one of these team-ups is especially chaotic.

The Ammo Overload team-up with Rocket Raccoon, The Punisher, and Winter Soldier is one that turns a teamfight into an unlimited storm of bullets. Call of Duty has had a long, varied history – while still maintaining its military first-person shooter roots. The game initially began as a World War 2 centric title, before moving on toward a more modern, sci-fi futuristic theme.
Activision is quite aware of these advancements, but still manages a way to return the series back to its roots, by means of remasters and remakes. To this extent, there have been multiple Call of Duty remakes released in the past few years (with the Modern Warfare series being a prime focus) – but there is yet to be a World at War remaster, to this day.
Fans want Activision to release a Call of Duty World at War remastered edition

From Chainsaw Man to Jujutsu Kaisen, Mappa has produced top-notch anime in the Shonen genre. It is one of the finest animation studios in the Japanese industry, hailed for finesse and craftsmanship. But there is an anime that remains a victim of the middle child treatment.
A still from Zenshu’s trailer | Credit: Mappa
To be specific, Zenshu has the cold shoulder when it comes to Winter anime. The series has good animation, plotline, and story, and yet failed to gain popularity. But that doesn’t define it as a failure in any case, especially when it comes to its unique tropes of storytelling.

When we hear the word Mappa the first thing that comes to our mind is excellent animation. There are only a handful of animation studios that live up to the standards and it is one of them. Through Jujutsu Kaisen,...

Winter rages on in the fourth episode of 1923's second season, "Journey the Rivers of Iron." After the first three episodes, it's clear nothing will be easy for the Duttons or the people they care about — and episode 4 offers very little in the way of a reprieve.
However, Episode 4 does answer many of the questions and uncertainties presented in previous episodes. Spencer Dutton's (Brandon Sklenar) efforts to get home to Montana and to be reunited with Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) continue while her latest threat plays itself out. Jacob and Cara Dutton care for Zane Davis (Brian Geraghty) and his family alongside Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph) and Jack Dutton (Darren Mann) as they find themselves at odds. Meanwhile, Donald Whitfield's (Timothy Dalton) machinations continue and reveal just how far he's willing to go to take what he wants.

The Avengers were once a big symbol of hope in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and not just figuratively. Standing in the middle of New York City was the Avengers Tower: A big structure that served to remind bad guys that they weren't over anyone's head. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when the Sokovia Accords were ratified and Earth's Mightiest Heroes fought against each other leading to their disbanding.
Much to everyone's surprise, it was revealed that Tony Stark sold the Avengers Tower during the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming — a decision that marked the end of the heroes' era. That was all the way back in 2017, and we've all had the same question in mind since then: Who is the new owner of this iconic skyscraper?
Theories grew rampant as many supposed that Reed Richards was turning this structure into the Baxter Building, or that Wilson Fisk was behind the whole thing. However,...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a franchise known for huge action blockbusters, with some deviations to their formula for applicable content, while A24 is an independent movie and television company that prioritizes an auteur’s aesthetic as well as more intimate character dynamics. Marvel capitalizes on a specific opportunity with Thunderbolts* and framed its latest marketing material for the upcoming movie within the context of the cast and crew’s A24 connection.
Kevin Feige and the MCU decision-makers clearly perceive A24 productions as having a niche filmmaking advantage, at least in terms of a project’s quality. And most importantly, the filmmakers may have purposefully brought some of those cinematic practices and perspectives to Thunderbolts*.
After all, the Thor trailer does not highlight director Kenneth Branagh’s Shakespearian background, and the advertisements for Avenger epics do not point out that many of the stars are Oscar nominees. This Thunderbolts* campaign...

In the Lost Lands is the latest project from Paul W.S. Anderson. That right there should give you some pause before deciding whether or not to see this movie. While he has found some box office success — mainly with the Resident Evil franchise — the perceived quality has been, shall we say, lacking.
Faults aside, Rotten Tomatoes at least serves as a decent barometer for a general consensus. With the exception of his 2011 documentary Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel, Mortal Kombat at 47%, and Monster Hunter at 70% are his best received movies by critics and audiences, respectively. It’s not going out on a limb to say In the Lost Lands is not going to change that.

Last month, popular mystery-drama animeThe Apothecary Diaries returned to the airwaves for its Season 2 debut. In addition to remaining faithful to the titular light novel series, Season 2 director Akinori Fudesaka is also trying to produce a visually engaging anime that captures the full emotional spectrum of The Apothecary Diaries' world and characters.
While Fudesaka originally served as the assistant director for Season 1, he has since taken over the directorial role from Norihiro Naganuma. The latter is now assisting Fudesaka as chief director. In a recent interview conducted by Mantan Web, Fudesaka expounded upon the challenges that now face him as leader of the series' animation staff. "The assistant director's job is to receive exactly what the director wants and give it shape...when the director starts an anime production, they create the framework and the path, and directs the production on site..." he explained. Audible’s horror podcast Impact Winter has already inspired comic books that were published by Skybound, and now Deadline reports that it’s set to get a Netflix series adaptation as well, with director Francis Lawrence, whose credits include Constantine, I Am Legend, multiple Hunger Games movies, and the upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Long Walk, overseeing the development. The aim to make the series something like “30 Days of Night meets The Last of Us.”
Created by Travis Beacham, who has written for the likes of Carnival Row, Pacific Rim, and Clash of the Titans, the Impact Winter podcast plays out on the order of an old radio teleplay like War of the Worlds by Orson Welles. More than a decade after a comet strike has inflicted an “impact winter” and blacked out the sun, vampires have emerged in the darkness to take over what remains of the world. How many Captain America movies will be made in the MCU? It remains to be seen, but so far so good. Captain America: Brave New World is currently doing decent numbers at the global box office, and even though critics are divided about it, fans have been impressed. On Rotten Tomatoes, the MCU movie has an 80% audience score, confirming that it’s as entertaining as any superhero movie can be. The fourth installment picks up where The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left off, following Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as he dismantles a conspiracy surrounding President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford).
Before that, fans had been treated to three Captain America-centric movies starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. The first one was tame enough, but the second one raised the stakes by introducing the Winter Soldier, while the third covered an internal feud between the Avengers. Fans know Aidan Gillen in many roles such as Aberama Gold in Peaky Blinders and Milo Sunter in Mayor of Kingstown, but there’s nothing more popular than his stint in Game of Thrones as Petyr Baelish and in The Wire as Tommy Carcetti.
Aidan Gillen in Game of Thrones / Credits: HBO Entertainment
He often plays the villain in stories, and while it suits his acting ability, Gillen has also displayed versatility. Indeed, he has taken good guy parts as well and has ventured into various genres. However, among these characters he has played, there’s one he’s most recognized by fans, and it’s not Littlefinger.
Aidan Gillen doesn’t think Tommy Carcetti was his best role
Every successful actor considers at least one role that they associate with their career, one singular part that has probably put them on the Hollywood map or earned them global fame.

Carl Lumbly’s Black Captain America was first introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes discover more truth about the Super Soldier serum and how it was used to create an army of Black Super Soldiers. Lumbly’s Isaiah Bradley was the last living Black Super Soldier who spent years in jail and in hiding, so as to hide the U.S.’s secret experiments on Black soldiers.

It goes without saying that Bucky Barnes is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most popular characters. Played by Sebastian Stan, Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes made his on-screen debut in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and fans instantly fell in love with Steve Rogers' loyal, funny, and handsome (very handsome) best friend. When he returned from the dead in 2014 sequel The Winter Soldier (as the titular antagonist), he instantly became an MCU legend. There was no going back after that.
Although Bucky is widely recognized as the former Winter Soldier, the fact that his time with the franchise began in 2011's The First Avenger makes Stan one of the longest-standing actors in the Marvel Studios franchise. There are clearly no plans on that changing in the foreseeable future, as the character is set to return in this year's Thunderbolts*.

Tyrion Lannister had quite a disappointing arc in the season finale of Game of Thrones, but George R.R. Martin’s The Winds of Winter can still fix this and give the beloved character’s story a proper conclusion. He was already a fan-favorite character at the beginning of the series, but as the show progressed, he was inadvertently shoved to the sideline.

The tragic backstory of his first wife was not fully fleshed out in the series, and there was only one scene dedicated to Tysha’s gruesome fate that many fans have already forgotten about. In the books, she was the reason why Tyrion killed his father, although this was changed in the show.

Bucky Barnes is a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Making his debut all the way back in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, actor Sebastian Stan is one of the franchise's longest-standing performers, and that doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.
He hasn't been as prominent in the Multiverse Saga, but he did feature quite heavily in one of the first titles in this chapter of the MCU, co-headlining Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which saw Bucky team up with Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie). Of course, Sam has since gone on to take up the shield of Steve Rogers as the next Captain America, while Bucky joins a new team in Thunderbolts*, which has a release date of May 2, 2025.
With Captain America: Brave New World now out in the world, it's only natural that fans have been wondering if the film references Sam's new best friend.

A sequel to ‘The Batman’ was officially announced at CinemaCon in April 2022, with Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves returning. By August, Mattson Tomlin had joined as co-writer, and the film was initially titled ‘The Batman – Part II’ in early 2023.
However, by late 2024, the title was dropped as Reeves continued working on the script. Key cast members, including Jeffrey Wright as Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Colin Farrell as Penguin, are set to reprise their roles.

A new month has dawned, which means it's time to take stock of all the new TV shows and movies coming down the pike. We've been fretting about the future of fantasy and science fiction TV a bit of late, but not to worry: there are still some exciting genre series to check out in February.
While the year overall is pretty stacked with fantasy and sci-fi stuff, February is a bit of a light month. We'll see the return of a gritty animated superhero drama, a new installment in Netflix's ongoing fantasy franchise The Witcher and...the Bible, but Game of Thrones-ified? Yeah, it's gonna be a strange one.
Here are all the genre shows and movies we've got on the docket in February 2025:

We'll see the return of a gritty animated superhero drama, a new installment in Netflix's ongoing fantasy franchise The Witcher and...the Bible, but Game of Thrones-ified? Yeah, it's gonna be a strange one.
Here are all the genre shows and movies we've got on the docket in February 2025:

One simply cannot ignore the impact that Game of Thrones had on the world of television, and George R.R. Martin happens to be the brains behind this masterpiece. The HBO show was adapted from Martin’s book series, titled, A Song of Ice and Fire.

The rich narrative and morally gray characters made it an epic read. Now, fans have been waiting for the next installment, i.e., The Winds of Winter, for more than 13 long years. But perhaps there’s a deeper reason why he hasn’t finished the book, something that might have to do with the author’s non-traditional storytelling method.

It’s been more than a decade since George R.R. Martin’s The Winds of Winter was expected to come out. Unfortunately, not only does it remain unreleased, any expected date is also obscure. Although the author has stated that the book is still a priority, many seem uncertain.

Consequently, fans are convinced that the last book will definitely remain unfinished. As such, speculations about how Martin might end the novels have run rampant.
Although it is hard to say for sure, the fans might glean some idea of the story’s ultimate direction from the old name given to the last book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. At the very least, it will surely remind them of some of the moments that made the Game of Thrones show so beloved in the first place.

Anime original series aren't very common, and that's just one of the many traits that makes Zenshu stand out this season. Natsuko Hirose is a delightful protagonist who's strong characterization is enough of a hook to capture an audience. Plus, the series is relatable to anyone who's ever loved a piece of media that just wasn't successful. It's the story of what lengths a fan will go to in order to give the characters she loved a happy ending. Natusko is trying to subvert the story she loves for the sake of the characters in it. Even as she freely admits to not understanding the movie fully.
Natsuko already feels like she's friends with these characters because she loves them, but that isn't enough to form a real relationship. Instead, she has to put in the work to get to know them. She also has to save them from all the threats she faces.

It’s been a big wait for fans of FBI: International. The fall finale had the team hunting Greg Csonka, the mobster who killed the partner of team leader Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer). Csonka was arrested but was broken out by his allies.
During the escape, Cameron Vo (Vinessa Videtto) was badly wounded and her condition was critical. That had the entire team ready to hunt Csonka down even if it meant crossing some lines.
The mid-season premiere had the team at the hospital with the doctors telling them Vo was in stable condition, but because of the location of the wound, the risk of a fatal infection was high. Leaving Celeste, one of the office agents, behind for updates, the rest...

Warner Bros.' The War of the Rohirrim brings one of Middle-earth's most devastating conflicts to life in anime form. While the Lord of the Rings anime film boasts its fair share of memorable moments, it's not without some glaring flaws. Chief among them: a failure to expand beyond Rohan's borders, leaving Middle-earth's vastness and the far-reaching consequences of its events unexplored. Only Man receives the spotlight in Rohirrim — save for a puzzling Saruman cameo — with other realms and people conspicuously absent.
Perhaps the most perplexing omission from War of the Rohirrim: the Elves. Where were Middle-earth's immortal, most technologically advanced folk during Rohan's crisis? Galadriel, Elrond, and other key elves from Lord of the Rings were all active during Rohirrim's events. Yet, Helm Hammerhand, his daughter, Hera, and their kingdom fought alone against the Dunlendings—and against the harsh elements of the Long Winter. So, why did the Elves...

Game of Thrones started off as a great show and arguably became one of the best things on TV in its prime. The vast and sprawling narrative along with the intricate characters made us fall in love with George R.R. Martin’s world. Yet, in the end, it made many mistakes and left fans disappointed. But House of the Dragon, its prequel, restored people’s faith in the franchise.

However, it seems like the showrunners are going to sabotage the one chance they have at rebuilding trust. The debut was promising and explored the events that led to the Targaryen Civil War, but it seems like the show is not immune to the mistakes made by its predecessors.

The Snow Sister follows Julian, a young boy dealing with the loss of his sister, Juni, during the Christmas season and near his birthday. His family becomes distant in their sadness, leaving Julian alone with his pain.
When Hedvig appears – a cheerful, mysterious girl – she brings Julian unexpected light. Her joy for Christmas stands in stark difference to Julian’s pain, and her hidden story makes the narrative deeper and stranger. Their friendship helps Julian face his grief instead of hiding from it.
From Maja Lunde and Lisa Aisato’s Norwegian children’s book, The Snow Sister combines holiday warmth with the somber elements common in Scandinavian stories. Director Cecilie Mosli creates a story rich in cultural traditions, showing grief and memory in a distinctly Nordic way.

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is desperate to return to work at Forrester Creations. She has a plan she needs to put into place. Steffy is set to destroy Hope (Annika Noelle) and Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) happy union. She found the perfect person to make it happen. Steffy hired French saboteur Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) as the Head Nose in Charge. Daphne’s scent will likely turn his head and lead her to his bed. The Winds of Winter has not released yet, but it already promises to be one of the weirdest and darkest books in A Song of Ice and Fire so far. George R.R. Martin has been working on the sixth and penultimate novel in the series that inspired Game of Thrones since 2011, with various delays to The Winds of Winter’s release (which the author has since given up trying to predict). Though the book remains unfinished as things stand, some parts of it have previously been released.
Martin has revealed or read multiple preview chapters from The Winds of Winter over the years, following the likes of Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, and Theon Greyjoy, and one includes a nod to a villain from Daenerys Targaryen’s past. This comes in “The Forsaken,” a haunting, atmospheric chapter told from the point-of-view of Aeron Greyjoy (Theon’s uncle), who has been captured by his own brother,...

More importantly, however, why is the elevator taped off? Is there a real police investigation going on, or is that part of the show?

HBO is expanding its Game of Thrones franchise, but the many planned spinoffs overlook a core part of the original show. Even prior to Game of Thrones’ ending, HBO was looking at ways to continue things, exploring various prequel options. One, Bloodmoon, based on the Long Night, made it to the pilot stage, before being scrapped despite a reported $25-30 million being spent on it. So far, only House of the Dragon has actually made it to the screen.
That will change with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ release later in 2025, though it’s not actually a bad thing. The network is clearly taking its time to assess the many different options it has, only green lighting something when they’re really happy with it - a somewhat rare degree of patience in a world where franchises are king. Doom Match is the new free-for-all deathmatch released for season 1 of Marvel Rivals. You will be on your own against 11 other players. However, to win, you only need to be in the top-six of points. This means you can win by combining last hits and avoiding deaths. You can focus on kills and then, once near the top, can hide or turtle to still be considered one of the best players.
For season 1 of Marvel Rivals, Doom Match is directly featured in the Midnight Features limited-time event. To complete the “The Doctor is Out...Of His Mind!” investigation, you must use five Doom Match portals and defeat 50 foes. This might sound like a lot, but you can get these by killing stealing enemies weakened by others. Try to disrupt battles between two or more foes and quickly earn credit for this event.

Since the first trailer for Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* was released, there's been a distinct...feel to the tone and style of the film. The morally ambiguous ensemble of anti-heroes at the center of the movie has helped to distinguish the upcoming movie from other projects that Marvel Studios has in the pipeline, in addition to having a fantastic cast with the likes of Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, and Sebastian Stan. According to the Winter Soldier actor, Thunderbolts* is wholly unique thanks to encouragement from the top brass at Marvel Studios. And these changes will break a controversial MCU trend.
In an interview with Deadline, Stan discussed how Thunderbolts* sets itself apart not just with its all-star cast, but also because of the way the action sequences were filmed. Specifically, the Golden Globe winner revealed how practical effects were used more often than the kinds of CGI that has become synonymous with Marvel movies.

During last night's Golden Globes, Stan took home an award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his stellar performance in A Different Man.
However, it didn't long for Mackie, the McU's new Captain America, to crash the party. "We won," he joked, with Stan adding, "Captain America and the Winter Soldier, we're coming back!"
Mackie showed up during a separate interview, presenting his former co-star with a rose. When the interviewer asked Stan what it meant to get that sort of support from his fellow actor, he got serious for a moment and replied, "Listen, we...

Following What If...? season 3, Marvel Studios now has six different versions of the Iron Fist in the MCU, even though Finn Jones' low-rated version of the iconic Marvel hero doesn't yet have a confirmed future in live-action. What If...? season 3 put weird and wonderful spins on some of the McU's best-loved characters, including Bucky Barnes' Winter Soldier, Agatha Harkness, Bruce Banner's Hulk and Shang-Chi. The latter appeared in What If...? season 3, episode 6, "What If... 1872?," and starred alongside a surprising new addition to the MCU.

As well as developing these pre-established MCU characters,...

Martin is an executive producer on both shows, but he was more heavily involved with the original. Game of Thrones episodes "The Pointy End," "Blackwater," "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," and "The Lion and the Rose" were all penned by him.
These are some of the best episodes of Game of Thrones, and Martin himself even called them "perfect." The author seems to have enjoyed being a part of bringing his series to life in Game of Thrones, so it may come as a surprise that he doesn't have the same...
