FAQ

The Unauthorized Full House Story

This scene is based on a real story Bob Saget has told in his stand up and as a guest on radio shows. However, in Saget's telling of the real incident he was using a mannequin which was used as a stand in for the Olsen Twins, which makes the real life version more embarrassing and disturbing then what is depicted in this movie. Saget also explained he did this simply out of boredom and because he wanted to entertain the crew while they were waiting on set one day. The movie depicts him doing this routine because he's trying to prove some sort of point to Dave Coulier and John Stamos about how he detests Full House's clean persona.

Yes. He was offered to be a cast member, not just in running but fully offered. However, between his job offer and what would have been his first show the executives at NBC were replaced and the new regime decided Coulier was too similar in comedic style to Dana Carvey.

Full House creator Jeff Franklin tweeted this response on 22 August: "About that lifetime movie. Not so good. And for the record, I never had a fight with bob Saget. But at least they spelled our names right!" So while it is fact that Saget's crude behavior on set got him in trouble at times Franklin denies that they ever had a fight about the subject.
