The Disney+ revival of “Malcolm in the Middle” will see the returns of Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield, according to multiple media reports. The two stars will reprise their roles as Francis and Reese, respectively. However, the role of Dewey will now be played by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.

Wynonna Earp is finally returning home to Purgatory, three years after going on the road to battle her most dangerous villain yet. Three years after ending its run on Syfy, the supernatural Western action-adventure series is returning with a sequel to most of the original cast and a new and exciting villain. Directed by Paolo Barzman, from a screenplay co-written by Emily Andras and Beau Smith, and while for all intents and purposes, it is a standalone film, there are some talks of rebooting the series.

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance follows the story of Wynonna as she is continues her work on the road with the help of Doc Holliday but she soon has to return to Purgatory after getting an ominous call to fight against a psychotic seductress who is out for revenge against Wynonna and everyone she loves.

Wynonna Earp showrunner Emily Andras opens up about her hopes for the series' future on streaming.

Speaking to Collider, Andras was asked about the extra emphasis on sexuality and adult themes that were present in the recently released Wynonna Earp: Vengeance special, which premiered exclusively on Tubi. "Tubi was amazing," Andras said. "They were like, 'No rules. You can push the sexuality. You can definitely push the language.' The name of the game was elevation. Because we're doing a 90-minute special, we wanted to feel like you could only get it on Tubi in this format, but this isn't something you would've seen in Season 3, for example. So, I was stunned."

When it comes to Western film and television, the genre isn't always combined with horror but the type of horror that typically follows the Western genre revolves around monsters that lurk beneath the scorching dirt. Based on the premise alone, the upcoming 90-minute Tubi special Wynonna Earp: Vengeance is no different except that it's a continuation of Syfy's 2016 series Wynonna Earp, and centers around more than just monsters. Longtime fans have been hoping for a return since the show ended in 2021 after four seasons, and while the original series ended somewhat happily, Team Earp is officially coming back. Before returning to Purgatory for Vengeance, let's take a trip down memory lane and recap what last played out on Wynonna Earp.

Wynonna Earp is one of those shows that never became hugely popular but that had a fiercely devoted fanbase for its entire run. Armed with her special gun Peacemaker, it's Wynonna's job to send reincarnated criminals called revenants back to hell. She did that for four straight seasons on Syfy, but still has unfinished business. “The past is never that far behind us, and some of it might be showing up looking for vengeance, so to speak, in the special,” creator Emily Andras teased to Entertainment Weekly, putting that writer's brain to good use with some colorful verbiage. “The heart, the laugh-out-loud wit and action-packed sequences that were always a part of the series are still in the special. This cast has not missed a step.

“Wynonna Earp” wasn’t going to keep the fans waiting forever for more stories.

The cult series wrapped it’s four-season run back in 2021, and thanks to a small but incredibly mighty fan base that campaigned vocally online, a new 90-minute special is set to air on Sept. 13 on Tubi called “Wynonna Earp: Vengeance.”

Creator Emily Andras told Entertainment Weekly that the show had stories planned for a fifth season but Season 4 was – luckily – written with some closure in mind. Now the special will tie things up once and for all.

“We had been ordered for a season 4 and a season 5, but things were kind of up in the air,” Andras said. “I thought: It’s better to write an ending that is satisfying and if we’re blessed with another season, I can blow it all up. My gamble paid off, for better or for worse.”

Don't let anyone tell you Westerns are dead. They're apparently still alive and well on Netflix, where this week the docudrama "Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War" has been steadily climbing the streaming charts. Despite a 7.7/10 rating on IMDb, 12 Monkeys is often overlooked in comparison to other time travel shows. The TV show expanded on the movie's narrative, delving into multiple timelines and giving characters depth. The show's complex time travel plots are navigated effectively and intelligently without feeling convoluted.

There has been a surge of time-travel sci-fi TV shows, and some of the best time-travel TV shows have come out in the last 10 years. Predictably, many of them have similar plots, like time traveling to warn against a future threat or having to stop something existential, but they are beloved by viewers regardless. However, there are many underrated time travel shows and movies that, despite often being forgotten about years after they have ended, are nonetheless worthy of recognition.

Part of the problem with complex time-travel sci-fi series is that, by virtue of their complex plots, they can be inaccessible to mainstream audiences.

The much-awaited return of the ghost detectives on the silver screen is finally available on Netflix, and the fans seem to love it. Based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, the Netflix series is created by Steve Yockey and it follows the story of two ghost detectives who decide not to ascent to their afterlives to stay on Earth and investigate the crimes involving the supernatural. Dead Boy Detectives exists in the same universe as Netflix’s hit DC fantasy drama series The Sandman, and while it is different from The Sandman in its story and visuals, the Dead Boy Detectives seem to be connecting with the fans.
