    I liked it

It's funny and the acting is a little bit more than cheesy. But what can I say? It's a fitting sequel and I would definitely watch it again. Good fun.

Promoting drugs, no use for such movies

I don't normally voluntarily watch films with talentless actors like Moritz Bleibtreu. I stay true to myself (ich bleibe mir treu, pun) and steer clear of his films. Anyway, I watched the "film" and then sadly discovered that it was already the sequel. Like everywhere else, there's only money involved when bad (or good) films are cloned.

Yes, that's another important basic question: is a film good because it's successful? Exactly. No.

Let's move on to the film. Boring dialogue (my mother tongue is German), full of platitudes and very predictable. And what really bothers me is this endless glorification of drug use, everything is made ridiculous, easy and problem-free. Even drug-related crime is trivialised. Films like this send out all the wrong signals to young people, who then find it normal to rob others and be permanently stoned. Such films should be censored and burned. I hate stoners in the worst way.

    The story/saga continues

Lammbock was made 16 years before this and the characters have ages (as have the actors obviously). The two main characters have even grown apart a little bit. But they still have mad love for each other. And while I would think that you can enjoy this, without having seen the previous movie, I would recommend to watch it before you see this.

This does not reach the highs (no pun intended I think) from the first entry, but it is still funny to say the least. It'd be interesting to see them making another one in 10 years or so. I would watch it. Was a good idea to wait to come up with a funny story and give the characters some room to breathe and have gone through stuff. This will still be able to offend people as was the first one. But as with the first one, you don't have to have used ... drugs (taken them), to find the humor in it. A more than decent follow-up/sequel

if you enjoyed the first one, you will enjoy this one too!

As some other reviewers have already wrote here, in comparison to the first movie this one does not have one contiunous main story so to say, rather a few (sometimes suddenly ending) side stories, BUT the main thing that makes these two movies enjoyable is not the main story or character development, it's the discussions they have about random stuff while combining it with some typical stoner humor. And the second movie has a lot of these hilarious discussions and situations, which makes it ( in my opinion) as good as the first one, but only if you have seen and enjoyed the first one.

I would not recommend watching this movie without having seen the first one, if you are unsure if you will like it.

Guess you need to be stoned to call it great.

The first one was decent, the second one has its ups and downs. To cut a long story short: it's a nice sequel. They got the main cast back together and there are a few references to the 2001 movie Lammbock.

This one however lacks a truly original plot. It's also very predictable, but I don't want to get into that in particular because I don't want to spoil anything for anybody (who might not see certain things coming from a mile away).

The fact that the characters suddenly speak Polish in some parts is just off-putting. I understand this is considered a stylistic element but it's also just annoying.

Bottom-line: it's entertaining and alright to watch, but nowhere near a 7.something rating.

Most good (and great movies) I watch at least twice. This is not one of those movies.

    • Trivia
Whilst they're in the asylum, searching for Frank, Kai once takes a short look into a room with a patient in it. That patient is Achim, a former undercover cop, who were after Kai and Stefan in the first movie "Lammbock" and which got knocked out by them with psychoactive mushrooms and a pesticide "Gehirnzellenmassaker" (german for "braincellmassacre").
    • Goofs
When Stefan checks in for his flight to Dubai he does so at a Lufthansa first class / business class counter at Cologne airport. Lufthansa doesn't serve Dubai (DXB, DWC) from Cologne. Moreover, it would make more sense for Stefan to fly in and out of Frankfurt, since Cologne is much farther from Wuerzburg.
