Kirk Fogg in the movie has been a tour guide of the theme park since 1995, the same year that the show ended.
Kirk Fogg was the original host of the 90's game show and appears in this film.
Just like in the game show, the pendants were in halves, which when combined gave extra life.
The writers of the TV movie were childhood friends who watched the show as kids and pitched their idea in full costume dressed as Kirk Fogg and a Green Monkey contestant.
When the kids put the statue together, the boy can't put it together, even though it's very clear how to do so. This was a jab at the original series in which no one seemed to be able to get the statue together before the timer ran out.
