Bunnicula is vegan and that is awesome. Though there is some carnist nonsense threaded throughout, it's still funny enough to be worth the watch. Shame there's not more episodes.
I'm surprised no one talks about this cartoon often, it's probably one of the best book to cartoon adaptations I've ever seen. There is actually a lot of good material in here, as every season has its good moments. My favorite episode out of every season has to be Back in Thyme, I like how they take the Groundhog Day plot and turn it into a race to make things better. The thing I also like about this series is the REFERENCES! Seriously, I did not have a Troll 2 reference on my bingo card while watching. Even though there are some bad episode sprinkled in, it's still worth a watch, as this show deserves more attention.
I love this show and can't get enough. I read the books when I was younger and
Now I can share bunnicula with my kids.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with the previous reviewer. This is not the books, and it should not be judged on them. There are significant differences in the characters and setting. It's worth noting that author James Howe is involved with the production, and approved the changes.
The first couple of episodes of a new series are sometimes not the best, as the characters and situation are explored and refined. Still, I enjoyed them, and have liked each subsequent episode more. The most recent one, "Muddy Harry," is cleverly written and animated. The voice actors are awesomely fun.
Definitely worth watching!

Needed something funny and Bunnicula didn't disappoint. Love cartoons with great chemistry among the protagonist like Phineas and Ferb, johnny Test, Foster's Home, Atomic Puppet. The relationships and dialog move forward at a cracking pace with themes targeted more toward adults than kids.
The animation is fantastic. The facial responses, mostly from Bunnicula, when his buddies are talking or fighting is classic. Watch again. The loving odd couple relationship between the three main characters is fun...a good example for both kids and adults. They fight and tease each other, but have each others back when the monsters show up.
