The acting is atrocious in this movie so you'll have to attempt to look over it. There is zero back story of why this "evil" spirit suddenly pops up when the new girl arrives. There's actually no story to this movie at all except some high school kids wanting to be paranormal researchers that have absolutely no clue what they are doing. Outside of the three main characters, everyone else is just filler. Possibly, if Nickelodeon had made or produced this movie, it would have stood a chance. This however is subpar at best.
Decent watch, probably won't watch again, and can recommend if you're looking for more ghost stories.
While there are certainly a lot of better things to watch, I don't think you'd be wasting your time on this. It reminds me a lot of "Nancy Drew", and "The Babysitter's Club" meets "Ghostbusters".
For a cast of "no names" the actors all did very well, and the story is actually really solid. One of the faults of the movie is probably the special effects, while not bad, but just not good enough. The movie could benefit from some higher quality actors, but it's just not designed to be a great movie.
The movie is what it is, a cute little film about girls getting ghosts.

I enjoyed the film. But there were a few mistakes. 1. Zoey was not endearing. I could not connect with her at all. 2. The villan had no backstory. 3. The relationship between Zoey and Link was not well established. Please try harder next time.🙂

The movie was something worth watching. I would recommend it as a family fun night film.
This is a relatively benign movie for the tween kids in your family. The film deals with loss, bullying, and ghosts in a mild fashion. Nothing spectacular here, but it was watchable as an adult.
