Movies are back on PlayStation — although they’re all titles from corporate cousin Sony Pictures Entertainment.
More than two years ago, PlayStation shut down its service offering movie and TV show purchases and rentals. At the time, Sony Interactive Entertainment explained that was making the move because it was seeing a growing number of PlayStation users shifting to free and subscription streaming-video services.
Now Sony has decided to bring back movies to the gaming console in partnership with its studio arm. On Thursday, Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the Sony Pictures Core app (previously branded as Bravia Core on Bravia TVs and select Xperia devices) on PS5 and PS4 consoles. A key selling point: The app lets you stream Hdr movies at up to 80 megabits per second — which Sony says provides picture quality “similar to 4K Uhd Blu-ray” — and includes a large collection of Imax Enhanced titles.

Tignhari’s voice actor in Genshin Impact has been recast, and a new name to give the character life has officially been revealed. The original actor, Elliot Gindi, was accused of abuse, and developer HoYoverse has since announced that he would be replaced in his role as the leader of the Forest Rangers in Avidya Forest.
Tighnari was the first 5-star Dendro character to be added to Collei and, in fact, one of the first Dendro characters ever, along with Collei and the Dendro version of the Traveler. He has an important role in Sumeru’s overarching storyline, and also plays a minor part in other activities, as seen in Genshin Impact 3.5’s Windblume’s Festival event, for instance. Now, all the voicelines for the character will be replaced by those of Tighnari’s new voice actor in Genshin Impact.

We’re in the final stretch of Originals Month over at Hulu, which means it’s time for us to look at the new titles that will be available on the streaming service in July and make up some loose theme that ties them together. As it turns out, Hulu is getting a whole bunch of sequels in July, but since May was already Sequel Month, July will have to be Numbers Month. That means Hulu subscribers will be able to enjoy a whole new slate of movies and TV shows, some of which have numbers in the name. There’s 48 Hours, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, 8 Heads In A Duffel Bag, Another 48 Hours, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, Cat O’Nine Tails, Area 51, Eight Men Out, 96 Souls, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy Xv, Star Trek II, Star Trek III, Star Trek IV, and then all of ...

Final Fantasy Xv is almost upon us and as such, Square Enix has provided the full details of what’s coming with the game’s aforementioned day one patch.
Providing much more than the performance improvements and bug fixes that most day one patches offer, Square Enix is seemingly not content with already packing the long-awaited Jrpg with a near-endless amount of features, the development team having continued working on the title even after its gone gold to give fans more than they could possibly ask for.
The so-called “Crown Update” will be free to download automatically on launch day, and is the result of some “additional time for development since mastering the full game, and provides a variety of updates, minor bug fixes and new features to greatly enhance the overall story and gameplay experience,” according to a press release provided to We Got This Covered.

Late August is not prime release time for top-end specialized films. While the quality of new entries this week is better than usual, two Sundance premieres, A24’s “Morris from America” and Werner Herzog’s documentary “Lo and Behold” are also hitting prime exposure on Video on Demand.
The best limited theatrical opening went to rookie director Natalie Portman’s “A Tale of Love and Darkness” (Focus), shot in her native Israel. The breakout of the month is CBS Films’ second-week expanding “Hell or High Water” (Lionsgate), which looks headed for Top Ten-level grosses over upcoming weeks.

It's a repeat at the top of the domestic box office as Suicide Squad and Sausage Party finished one and two respectively for a second weekend in a row and serving as the third straight weekend at number one for the DC Comics adaptation. The rest of the top five is made up of the weekend's three new wide releases*War Dogs, Kubo and the Two Strings and Ben-Hur*as this weekend's top twelve was down 25% from last weekend, though, compared to last year, the top twelve is up nearly 30% with a combined gross of just over $118 million. As already mentioned, with an estimated $20.7 million Suicide Squad took the number one spot at the weekend box office. The film's domestic cume is now up to $262.28 million, ranking fifth among all DC Comics adaptations. Internationally the film added another $38 million this weekend bringing its international total to $310.4 million for a worldwide cume totaling $572.68 million,...

His latest project he is developing is “Blackmail,” a one-hour drama script that has just been sold to NBC through Universal Television. Paul will produce the thriller via his Lucid Road banner alongside John and Thomas Sonntag, who will also pen the script.
The potential series will follow a young married couple who after suffering a life-changing accident, decide to get back at the man responsible by threatening to reveal his infidelity to his fiancee. Body after body unfurls across the screen with ease in Andrew Ahn’s Sundance premiere “Spa Night.” The beautifully lensed drama is, like its protagonist, compelled and often obsessed by the human shape and form, and Ahn’s film artfully uses the physical to tell a mostly standard issue coming-of-age story with style. Joe Seo stars as Korean-American teen David, divided between his desires to please his straitlaced immigrant parents (Youn Ho Cho and a particularly wonderful Haerry Kim) and a burgeoning sexuality that places him at odds with not just his family, but everyone and everything else in his life.
The film opens during a family visit to a Korean spa, as the camera quietly observes a dutiful David, tasked with helping his father Jin (Cho) scrub clean after a soak and a steam. The two are clearly close, and when they meet up David’s mother Soyoung...

The good news is that the story of Ben-Hur is so rock solid that not even the director of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” can screw it up completely. The sixth feature-length film or miniseries to be adapted from Lew Wallace’s 1880 novel, “Ben-Hur: A Tale of The Christ,” Timur Bekmambetov’s take on the religious epic inevitably lacks the grandeur of Fred Niblo’s 1925 silent or the girth of William Wyler’s 1959 Oscar-hoarding classic. After all, this is 2016 (more specifically, the summer of 2016), a time when movies about Jesus are pitched only to the converted, and blockbusters can only be longer than 120 minutes if they end with two iconic superheroes fighting each other to a stalemate.
But if this new “Ben-Hur” was only provided with a fraction of the potential that’s been afforded to its predecessors, it sometimes finds the strength to reach out and scrape against its frustratingly low ceiling.

Review: ‘Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy Xv’ Makes No Sense Without The Videogame It’s Trying To Sell You
The “Final Fantasy” series is one of the greatest franchises in the (admittedly brief) history of videogames, a saga of non-continuous roleplaying games which — despite its title — shows no signs of stopping or slowing down. Some of the most immersive and well-realized adventures of their kind, these blockbuster entertainments are known for creating dynamic new worlds for players to explore and invariably save.
But moviegoers, especially those who haven’t devoted hours of hours to the videogames, may have much less warm feelings towards the property. Despite standing out on the strength of its characters and storytelling, both previous attempts to stretch the brand to the big screen have been misfires — one merely bad, the other disastrous.

In the years since graduating from (or surviving) Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe has shown a consistent and fiercely impressive desire to use his fame in order to follow his muse. And Radcliffe’s muse has led him to a number of comically dark places, letting the Brit actor’s willingness to forge his own gnarled path become a reliable talking point, rehashed and reinvigorated with every performance as a pariah who grows devil horns or a hunchbacked assistant to a mad scientist.
But “Imperium,” in which he plays a fresh-faced FBI recruit who goes deep undercover with a group of scheming neo-Nazis, is the first of Radcliffe’s post-Potter roles that isn’t delivered with a wink, the first that — if it went terribly awry — couldn’t be written off as an elaborate goof. As serious as sedition itself, the icon’s wholly...

Potentially unfortunate news to report, as Square Enix has allegedly pushed back the release date of Final Fantasy Xv to November 29. Rumors of the delay first appeared on Gamnesia late Friday night.
According to the report, Final Fantasy Xv will indeed miss its planned September 30 release date. The information first came from a source within GameStop management, which is a source that had previously reported accurate release dates for Star Wars Battlefront and the New Nintendo 3Ds prior to official announcements.
While neither Square Enix or GameStop have commented on the rumor, additional information has leaked out that only further proves that the delay is real. A second source speaking to Gematsu claimed that the Gamnesia source is correct about the delay. Additionally, a piece of GameStop marketing material was leaked online that shows a standee for the title being modified to show the new release date.
