The first trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War” arrived this morning, and it was every bit as epic as fans were hoping. With nearly every character from the McU swinging through for an appearance (except Hawkeye), it’s the culmination of a decade of groundwork by Marvel. However, it looks like we might have to say goodbye to some of our favorite heroes.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been a key part of Marvel’s recent success, and the pair reveal that whatever the comic book studio has planned for the future, they’re not working on it.

The show must go on, and so “House of Cards” is still looking to resume production on its sixth and final season sometime after December 8. That’s according to Deadline, which obtained a letter sent to the Netflix drama’s cast and crew by Pauline Micelli expressing gratitude and underscoring the fact that “this production is bigger than just one person.”
Kevin Spacey, the show’s star, was fired after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him; exactly how he’ll be written off the show remains to be seen.

Amy Sherman-Palladino’s characters are always so casually witty, it’s about time one of them actually tried being funny for a living, right?
The Gilmore Girls creator’s sparkling new Amazon comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — debuting Wednesday, Nov. 29 — is set in the burgeoning stand-up comedy scene of 1958 New York City, and that time period is such a perfect fit for Sherman-Palladino’s old-Hollywood, rat-a-tat-tat dialogue, you wonder why she ever set anything in modern times. The pilot introduces us to Midge (Rachel Brosnahan), a quirky, quippy Jewish spitfire in the Lorelai Gilmore mold. (She’s the type who...

Maura Pfefferman’s journey has come to a premature end.
Jeffrey Tambor has announced that he will not return to Transparent for its upcoming fifth season. He issued the following statement to our sister site Deadline:
Playing Maura Pfefferman on Transparent has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life. What has become clear over the past weeks, however, is that this is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago.

Jeffrey Tambor has been accused of sexual harassment by Transparent co-star Trace Lysette, who is calling on Amazon to fire the two-time Emmy winner and “let the show go on.” In response, Tambor has issued a statement of his own, denying any such predatory behavior.
In accounts first published on Thursday (and later tweeted), Lysette, who plays Shea on the streamer’s landmark series, alleges that Tambor cornered her on the set of Season 2 and pressed his groin up against her body. She also recalls Tambor at one point remarking, “I want to attack you sexually.” The lewd comment was...

Days after Netflix fired Kevin Spacey from “House of Cards” and canceled an upcoming Louis C.K. standup special, both disgraced stars can still be found on the streaming service.
Five pre-existing Louis C.K. comedy specials, including this spring’s “Louis C.K. 2017,” continue to live on the site, available for viewing.
Meanwhile, four projects still pop up when searching for Spacey’s name, including “House of Cards” and the documentary “Now: In the Wings on a World Stage,” a behind the scenes look at Spacey starring in the Bridge Project production of “Richard III.”
That’s not to say that the streaming service isn’t taking a hit: Netflix scrapped plans to release the Spacey starrer “Gore,” a Gore Vidal biopic that had already finished shooting. And it may have to start over on Season 6 of “House of Cards,” with Robin Wright now as star, even though that show had already been shooting.

Update: “All the Money in the World” has officially been pulled by Sony and will no longer close the festival. AFI Fest released the following statement:
“AFI Fest celebrates film as a collaborative art form. We support Sony’s decision to postpone the premiere in order to ensure the thousands of people who worked together on this film are honored at a proper time and in a proper light.”
Earlier: The numerous sexual harassment and assault allegations made against Kevin Spacey have put Sony Pictures in a tough spot considering one of their big award season hopefuls, the John Paul Getty III kidnapping drama “All the Money in the World,” is currently set for release on December 22. Part of the movie’s Oscar push includes world premiering as the closing night selection of AFI Fest 2017, but that may no longer be the case if director Ridley Scott has his way.

Harry Dreyfuss, Richard Dreyfuss’ son and an actor in his own right, has accused Kevin Spacey of groping him when he was 18 years old. His account was written for Buzzfeed, which also published Anthony Rapp’s similar allegations last weekend. In it, he alleges that the incident took place in 2008, when Spacey was directing his father in a play at London’s Old Vic.

“It happened one night when the three of us were alone in Kevin’s apartment rehearsing my father’s lines,” Dreyfuss writes. “My father didn’t see, and I didn’t tell him about the incident for many years. Instead, I spent the next nine years telling people the story at parties for laughs.” The reason for humor, he says, is that “telling the story...

Whether on social media, in op-eds, or elsewhere, a growing number of celebrities have weighed in on the sexual-harassment allegations made against Harvey Weinstein and others in recent weeks. Uma Thurman has joined their ranks after being asked about the ongoing scandal on a red carpet, and her measured response is among the most striking. Watch below.

“I don’t have a tidy soundbite for you, because I’ve learned I’m not a child and I’ve learned that when I’ve spoken in anger I usually regret the way I express myself,” said Thurman, who was clearly choosing her words carefully and attempting not to let her anger seethe through. “So I’ve been waiting to feel less angry. And when I’m ready, I’ll say what I have to say.

Bringing an end to what has been a shocking and deeply troubling week, we’re learning that Netflix’s House of Cards may be killing off Kevin Spacey’s character, Frank Underwood.
The scandal surrounding the actor continues to grow by the day, and just last night, we learned that Spacey was investigated for an incident that allegedly occurred during season 1 of the show, which was seemingly “resolved swiftly” between Netflix and Media Rights Capital, the studio that helps produce the ongoing political drama. Still, the allegations continue to mount and now, it seems the only way to deal with all this is by removing the actor from the series.
According to Variety, Netflix is toying with the idea of having season 6 focus on Robin Wright’s Claire, as they’re worried that due to the scandal currently swirling around Spacey, it’ll be impossible to have him on set...
