Exclusive: The Sonoma International Film Festival announced the lineup for the 28th annual edition of the event, running March 19-23 in California’s bucolic wine country. Kicking off the festival will be the world premiere of Sweet Störy, a documentary that follows “a heartfelt journey to save a charming café” on a remote Swedish island.

Siff also will feature the world premieres of Roush Niaghi and Greg Morris’s Ali Eats America; Fernando Guillermo Barreda Luna’s Cafe Chairel, and Fatal Watch, directed by Mark Benjamin and Katie Carpenter. Startling in their familiarity, these scenes have become a shorthand for an ongoing nightmare. A common misconception among more casual "Family Guy" fans is that creator Seth MacFarlane is personally responsible for every single creative decision. In the short, written and directed by emerging filmmaker Blake Rice, Gandolfini plays a lonely and highly allergic Circuit-Shack employee, who is rehearsing asking out the girl of his dreams (Olivia Nikkanen) when he gets stung in the throat by a hornet. As he goes into anaphylactic shock, the pair have to find a way to communicate as the young woman races to save his life.

“With ‘Tea,’ Blake Rice has made a delightful and original short film with tons of charm and great execution. Definitely the emergence of a great new voice in the medium,” Jenkins said of boarding the project.
