Myles Bullock, best known for his appearances on Starz’s Bmf and Peacock’s Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, has joined the new Prison Break reboot as a series regular.
Hulu and Mayans Mc showrunner Elgin James are behind the new iteration of the former Fox series that starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.
The two are not returning for the new series, which is described as a new take on the concept but set in the same world as the previous show. Emily Browning (American Gods), Lukas Gage (Companion) and Drake Rodger (Landman) are the leads of the new Prison Break.
The original show premiered on Fox in 2005 and centered on Michael Scofield (Miller), a structural engineer who commits armed robbery in order to be sentenced to the same prison where his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Purcell) is incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit. Scofield has an...

After eight seasons, it seems Swat’s time might finally be coming to an end after CBS opted not to renew the series for a ninth season – canceling the show for a third time. It’s been quite a journey for the long-running series both for its cast and its fans who have helped the show evade cancellation twice before.
While CBS originally canceled the show after season 6 with no planned ending, the network reversed its decision just days later after fans and the cast vocally spoke out to express their desire for more. A seventh season was ordered which was supposed to be the show’s official final season, but then CBS surprised fans again by ordering an eighth season and reversing its cancellation decision for a second time in a row.

23 years ago, S.W.A.T. made its return to the screen, relaunching an action franchise that had been largely forgotten since its original run as a TV series in 1975. The original show followed a specialized police force in California, tackling organized crime, terrorism and drug trafficking. But, despite its strong debut and ratings, the series was eventually canceled due to concerns over violence on television.
In 2003, S.W.A.T. was revived as a feature film. The film, starring Colin Farrell and Samuel L. Jackson, followed the same premise as the original series, with a S.W.A.T team facing off against the city’s biggest criminals. This relaunch set the stage for a television reboot in 2017. The new series, led by Shemar Moore, introduced the franchise to a younger, more diverse audience. But it was the 2003 film that brought the franchise back to life, with a focus on authenticity that set it apart as one of...

Swat has had a long, singular journey. No show can lay claim to being canceled twice and brought back twice. It was the third cancelation, however, that proved to be the killer. It's unlikely Swat will be able to bounce back a third time, but what it can do is given fans a series finale they will never forget.
CBS confirmed that the two part series finale for Swat will air on Friday, May 16. It will mark the end of an era, but the synopsis for the finale reveals that there will be plenty of action to make it worth our while. The finale will bring back a "ghost from the past" that will shake Hondo (Shemar Moore) to his core. Why? Well, evidently, the returning character was long thought to be dead, and has resurfaced as a "violent car thief."

With April quickly knocking at our door, CBS has become the first network to unveil its finale plans for the 2024-2025 television season, and let’s just say there are a lot of surprising choices in the mix!
On March 20, CBS announced the finale dates for 20 of its hit series which includes both season finale dates for the network’s many returning shows as well as series finale dates for several hit shows which will be coming to an unexpected end as their current seasons draw to a close. As is usually the case, many of CBS’s primetime favorites will be signing off the air in May; however, there are a good number of CBS shows that will wrap up their current seasons a bit earlier than expected with a wave of late April finales planned.

NCIS seemed like one of those franchises. You know? One that would be able to set a spinoff in any setting, with any cast of characters, and be to secure a decade long run on CBS. Well, turns out that is not the case, and NCIS: Hawai'i was the proof. The show was canceled after only three seasons.
But why? Fans seemed to be over the moon for the cast, and Hawai'i even made the tactical move of bringing in a beloved NCIS: Los Angeles character to boost its ties to the rest of the franchise? Well, the way CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach put it, the spinoff was not profitable enough following the Hollywood strikes.
NCIS: Hawai'i was canceled due to dwindling ratings “Blind Curves” – The NCIS team’s investigation takes them deep into the world of illegal street racing after a Marine staff sergeant’s body is discovered in a junkyard.

Exclusive: S.W.A.T. alum Lina Esco, who will next be seen in Joe Carnahan’s upcoming Netflix film Rip alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has signed with Buchwald for representation in all areas.
Esco is best known for her role as officer Christina Alonso in S.W.A.T., where she was a series regular from 2017 to 2022. She made her television debut opposite Jimmy Smits in the 2007 CBS drama Cane and has appeared in Lol, Kingdom, Flaked, and London, where she starred alongside Chris Evans and Jessica Biel.
Esco portrays Captain Jackie Velez in the upcoming Rip. In the film, upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. In what is shocking news for fans, Netflix announced the cancelation of its much-loved series The Recruitin early March. Led and produced by Noah Centineo, the series made its debut back in 2022 and received a positive reaction from viewers, leading to renewal for a second season. The show's shorter second season was released in January 2025 and performed even better than its predecessor, scoring 92% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer.
Given the success of the series, many believed that they could expect Centineo's Owen Hendricks to return for a third season. After all, the series did make its way onto the streamers' Global Top 10 charts. However, dashing all hope and evidently viewing things in a different light, Netflix has decided to cancel the series instead of renewing it. Although a bitter pill for fans of the series, The Recruit's cancelation may allow Netflix to add another action drama, S.W.A.T., onto the platform in its stead.

The Swat saga has been difficult. We have had the emotional highs of seeing the show get brought back from the dead twice, and experienced the emotional lows of seeing it get canceled three times. The math obviously doesn't come out in the show's favor.
We always knew that the show was treading on thin ice as it approached the finale of its eighth season, but we didn't expect CBS to pull the plug this early. The rest of season eight is going to be tough on the cast, crew and fans for obvious reasons, but the silver lining is that we get to appreciate the episodes that we have left.
Swat's finale will contain multiple surprises “High Ground” – During a hiking trip, Powell and Gamble stumble upon an illegal weed farm and find themselves taking on a dangerous cartel, on S.W.A.T., Friday, Feb. 28 on the CBS Television Network,...

The bad news just keeps coming for Swat fans.
Hot on the heels of CBS’s unexpected decision to cancel Swat after eight seasons, the network is adding insult to injury by pulling the show from its schedule for what is going to be quite an extended break. Following the show’s March 14 episode, CBS will be pulling Swat from its lineup with a long break ahead for fans and we have basketball to thank.

We’re getting ready for March Madness to begin, but there is still one more Friday with a relatively normal lineup across the broadcast networks. Take a look at everything to watch tonight, Friday, March 14.
Yes, March Madness starts very soon. That means CBS will see a change to the schedule, focusing on the basketball games rather than new episodes of top shows. It’s annoying for fans of the series, but CBS has to do what’s right for its viewership, and March Madness is a huge event.

With all due respect to the Russo Brothers, we're here today to talk about a very different kind of "Cherry." Marvel's "Daredevil: Born Again" might be making headlines for bringing back -- and occasionally killing off -- certain characters from the Netflix series, but don't underestimate the new additions to the supporting cast. Even among these newbies, performances by Nikki M. James as legal partner Kirsten McDuffie or the late Kamar de los Reyes as Hector Ayala/White Tiger have certainly taken the fandom by storm. Yet the entire creative team has one key cast member to thank for arguably the show's best and most welcome new element: Clark Johnson as the always reliable, even-keeled private investigator Cherry.
Thus far, we've seen Cherry emerge as one of the standout characters in Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) close circle of allies. One of the very few individuals to become aware of Matt's secret identity as Daredevil,...

Something is in the air right now. Networks have taken an axe and decided to cut down several shows that otherwise looked primed for renewal. CBS has been the biggest culprit in this regard. It has taken down two of its FBI spinoffs, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
CBS has also canceled Swat, despite bringing it back from the dead twice. Did we mention that fans are still irate over the network's decision to end Blue Bloods, despite the fact that a spinoff is in the works? Cancelations have been all the rage over the last few weeks, and One Chicago shows are off the air for the next few weeks. Should we be worried? Could our beloved franchise be next?

Beth Behrs has reflected on the cancellation of 2 Broke Girls following the final renewal of her current CBS show The Neighborhood. Since 2018, Behrs has starred as Gemma Johnson in the CBS sitcom, which follows her and Dave's (Max Greenfield) move into a predominantly Black neighborhood as a white Midwestern family in Los Angeles. The Neighborhood season 8 is expected to finish off with Behrs and Greenfield alongside Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold.
In a post Behrs shared on Instagram, she addressed the final season of The Neighborhood, which offered a different kind of closure compared to the abrupt cancellation of 2 Broke Girls. In the realm of TV in the 2000s, few network shows can compete with the success of "Blue Bloods." Debuting on CBS in 2010, the police procedural enjoyed a ridiculously healthy run, airing 14 seasons and nearly 300 episodes. But all good things do come to an end, with CBS canceling the popular series at the end of 2023. That was rough for fans but fortunately, these characters will live on. Or, at the very least, one very popular character will.
Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan is going to headline his very own spin-off, which will keep the "Blue Bloods" universe alive. Get ready for "Boston Blue." As the title implies, this new show will take Danny to a new location, with a new cast of characters, and new cases for him to crack. So, what do we know about the show? How soon is it happening?...

Swat has been on the ropes before. Twice, actually. The procedural drama has done the nearly impossible two separate times, which is secure renewal after being canceled. It does not, however, look like the third time will be a charm.
CBS has canceled Swat again, and barring some massive changes, the upcoming finale will double as the show's series finale. It may very well be the last time we get to see our favorite characters. To make matters worse, one of its stars, Anna Enger Ritch, claimed that fans will get to the credits and want so much more.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one: Swat has been canceled by CBS but it may not be the end of the hit show!
In the weirdest case of deja vu, CBS announced that Swat has been canceled and will be ending at the end of its current eighth season. As fans know, this isn’t the first time the ax has fallen on the show. The first was in 2023, when CBS canceled the show after production on Season 6 had wrapped, meaning they couldn’t craft a proper finale.
CBS reversed its Swat cancellation the first time
The huge outcry over that led to CBS quickly reversing their decision to renew Swat for a 13-episode seventh season. That was put off by the 2023 Hollywood strikes before premiering in early 2024. It was clear the producers intended for this to wrap up the show.

CBS’s veteran sitcom The Neighborhood has been around since 2018 and the series has just been renewed for an eighth and final season on CBS. And while fans will definitely be sad that the series is going to be over soon, the fact that CBS gave the cast a crew another season is definitely good news.
The final season will air during the 2025-26 television season and will conclude the story that started seven years ago. The news comes as a sign of relief, as the series was not present on CBS’s early renewal list, which had some fans worried.
Following the recent cancelations of FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International, and S.W.A.T., some fans were worried that the Monday series would also end up being canceled rather abruptly, which is why this information will surely make a lot of fans sigh with relief.

Last week, audiences were caught off-guard when CBS made the divisive decision to axe its fan-favorite series,S.W.A.T. for the third time. That’s right, after canceling the title twice before, it seems like the third time's a charm — or maybe the opposite of that. In the days following the announcement, fans took to social media to share their disgust and bewilderment behind the network’s decision. And they aren’t alone. Stars of the procedural, including leading man, Shemar Moore, have certainly voiced their disappointment with the cancelation, although at this point it seems that it might be falling onto deaf ears.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the upcoming weeks are going to be a rough few weeks for NCIS franchise fans. This is because all three NCIS shows will be taking longer breaks this season beginning with NCIS and NCIS: Origins which head into their latest hiatus on March 10 and will be off air for a few weeks before their next new episodes finally air.
As confirmed via CBS’s schedule, NCIS and NCIS: Origins will be taking a 2-week break and will not air a new episode until the final week of the month. Sadly, there’s more bad news for the franchise as the first week of the hiatus will see NCIS pulled from the schedule entirely as CBS makes room for its new 2-hour special Ringo & Friends at The Ryman. CBS is nearing the end of a television season, so you know what that means: it's time to cancel "S.W.A.T."!
The network that's home to the hugely successful, many-tentacled "NCIS" franchise has never been able to get Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan's reboot of the 1975 ABC television series to hit the procedural sweet spot with mainstream audiences who love this genre no matter how formulaic it gets. "S.W.A.T." stabilized ratings-wise when CBS moved it to Fridays for good during season 6, but that's when the network started observing its yearly tradition of canceling the show.
"S.W.A.T." has its fans, many of whom tune in just to see Shemar Moore as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson Jr., who, as a police officer of color, has fought to maintain a relatively harmonious relationship with the Los Angeles community he's tasked with protecting. Critics have never embraced "S.W.A.T." the way they did Ryan's "The Shield...

'Go Out On a High Note': S.W.A.T. Team Teases What to Expect in Series Finale After Cancelation News
After eight seasons, the Shemar Moore-led CBS police procedural, S.W.A.T., will be leaving the air. Although it was previously canceled twice before, this time it seems that CBS has officially canceled the series, along with two other shows,FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
The S.W.A.T. team is currently filming No. episode 20 of 22 for its eighth and final season. January 31 marked the show’s winter return and at that time, the series’ executive producer Shawn Ryan said, “It’s been called the final season for the last three or four seasons, hasn’t it?” In January, CBS did not market the eighth season as the last for S.W.A.T.
Showrunner Andrew Dettmann told TVLine in a new interview that the upcoming series finale was planned for ahead of time. “Having learned our lesson over the last couple of years, we designed the season finale keeping in mind that it could be the series finale,...

CBS has made some interesting and difficult decisions as of late, with the official axing of the eight-season-running series, S.W.A.T., following two other prior cancellations, as well as recently bidding adieu to both FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. But, there’s one series that really perturbed fans when it was chopped from the network’s slate after the insanely popular procedural, Blue Bloods, clocked out for the last time back in December. News broke last spring that the show’s 14th season would be its last, blowing the minds of audiences everywhere who thought Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and the rest of the cast had a really good thing going. But, after months of desperately pushing for CBS to undo their questionable move, the network announced that — while fans won’t get their precious Blue Bloods back — they will get a continuation of the story.

On the heels of S.W.A.T.‘s cancellation by CBS — presumably final after a back-and-forth that began in May 2023 — the cast of the Shemar Moore vehicle voiced that the series finale will leave viewers “wanting so much more.”
Speaking to TVLine, actress Anna Enger Ritch, who plays officer Zoe Powell, said of the closing installment: “It will make you not want this show to end. You’ll want to keep watching what happens. There are so many avenues and directions to go, so many stories to tell, so many personal things… It will leave you wanting so much more.”
Meanwhile, her co-star Annie Ilonzeh — a new addition this season as a recurring cast member — added, “You go, ‘Oh my gosh, that just happened!’ And, ‘Wait, I need more!’ We definitely don’t button anything up. We leave you guessing and very curious for more.”

Whereas S.W.A.T.‘s May 2024 “series finale” — which was written and filmed before the show got un-cancelled for a second time — tied things up in a neat enough bow, it sounds like the CBS procedural’s next swan song will really leave fans clamoring for more.

Can S.W.A.T. score a third save from cancellation? CBS canceled the action drama for a third time this week, but star Shemar Moore is hoping either the network or another outlet will resurrect the show for a ninth season. “I said I wasn’t going to do this, but I can’t help it,” the S.W.A.T. lead said in an Instagram reel on Thursday, March 6. “I’m going to do it because it’s who I am. I’m telling the truth.” Moore recalled how CBS canceled S.W.A.T. after its sixth and seventh seasons, only to reverse its decision both times. “Un-canceled twice, two years in a row,” he said. “I don’t know my history, but how many shows get to say that? I’m...

CBS has been on a rampage over the last few weeks. The network has canceled several popular shows, including some that have been on for nearly a decade. Fans have been taken aback by the swiftness of CBS' decisions, especially coming off the heels of the controversial Blue Bloods cancelation.
The network has scrapped Swat (for the third time), as well as the FBI spinoffs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. The latter two has been particularly surprising, given that the flagship show is still in business and has already been renewed for additional seasons. Fans have naturally inquired about the reason behind these sudden cancelations, and they actually differ depending on the show.
CBS allegedly shifted its FBI priorities "Rampage" - With Covid devastating the country, two gunmen take out their desperation and rage on the elite class they perceive to be oppressing them as the team attempts to track and stop them.

Shemar Moore is getting déjà vu, but not in a good way.
The actor, who has led Swat for eight seasons, took to his Instagram Thursday night to react to CBS canceling the police procedural again. The network has canceled and un-canceled the show twice before.
“To my homies, to my fans, to my baby girls and to Hollywood — yeah, I said it — to Hollywood. The game,” Moore, who plays Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on Swat, said in a lengthy video. “I said I wasn’t going to do this, but I can’t help it. I’m gonna do it because it’s who I am. It’s how my mama raised me. Own your dignity, tell the truth. She can’t stand a liar, so I ain’t lying, and I’m telling the truth. S.W.A.T., here we are, season eight, three weeks away from the finale, we are canceled again.

S.W.A.T. has been cancelled by CBS, but that doesn't mean lead actor Shemar Moore is finished. The charismatic star took to social media to plead his case to Netflix. Well, it's more like he cranked up the hype machine. And good for him.
The streaming business is obviously pretty cutthroat, as even wildly popular shows are cut after just one season. One cancellation in particular had me seriously considering dumping the top streaming service. Jettisoning The Brothers Sun was a terrible decision, and I certainly wasn't the only person who thought this.
Making it into season 2 is no guarantee, either. The Recruit is on the cut list as well. Hey, at least they got past the Valley of Death, aka canceled after Season 1. Streaming services can afford to be choosy, as there's virtually no limit to the number of shows they can offer. The opposite is true of those dinosaurs of home entertainment,...
