Fakest movie I've ever seen.
Laughable at best despite the subject matter. I felt embarrassed just watching it.

A 26-year-old teenager and her 9-year-old mother who is a judge despite obvious incompetence and who turns into a vigilante who does not know the fear, it should be an episode of the 6th dimension!
This film essentially begins with a woman by the name of "Annalise O'Neil" (Emily Rose) hosting a party at her home to celebrate her recent appointment as a judge. It's during that time that she and her spoiled teenage daughter Carly O'Neil" (Emily Tennant) get into an argument which results in Carly running away from home several minutes later. A couple of hours later, while wandering alone on the street at night, Carly is kidnapped by a sex-trafficking ring and subsequently held in a confined area with other young girls to be auctioned off to on-line buyers in the very near future. Quite naturally, not knowing where her daughter is and having become increasingly concerned about her safety, Annalise immediately contacts the local police only to discover that the detective in charge of the case named "Derek Sutton" (Chris Calhoun) adamantly refuses to divulge any information about the case due to concerns that it might compromise his long-running investigation into a specific sex-trafficking operation. Because of that, Annalise then turns to a local halfway house for troubled teens run by a man named "Antonio Culpo" (John Gallant) who, unlike Detective Sutton, promises to keep her informed on any information he receives. What Annalise doesn't realize, however, is that one of these men is actually involved in this sex-trafficking ring and whatever information she uncovers as a judge to further the sale of her daughter. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this movie started off relatively well but became somewhat unrealistic halfway through the film. That being said, while it certainly wasn't a great film by any means, it wasn't terribly bad either and for that reason I have rated it accordingly. Slightly below average.
Bad acting all around (especially the mother.) Very sloppy all around, no bonds/genuine relationships between any of the characters. The mother and daughter had no dialogue besides fighting.
I have to admit that I wasn't really harboring much of any high expectations for this 2017 Lifetime thriller as I sat down to watch it late in 2022.
First of all, I had never heard about the movie, bnot that is a hindrance for watching it, but the movie's title was really corny. A poorly selected title, which sort of sends a false impression about the movie-
The storyline in "Daughter for Sale", as written by Vesta Giles, turned out to be interesting enough. Sure, it was fairly generic for a Lifetime movie, but it made for an adequate enough viewing. Though, it should be said that you pretty much know how the entire movie will play out before you watch it. So director Farhad Mann wasn't exactly delivering a spectacular thriller here.
The acting performances in "Daughter for Sale" were fair enough, taking into considerations the limitations of the script and all.
While "Daughter for Sale" was watchable enough, this is by no means a movie that warrants more than a single viewing. And I know what I will not be returning to watch it a second time.
If you enjoy Lifetime movies, then give "Daughter for Sale" a chance.
My rating of "Daughter for Sale" lands on a four out of ten stars.

- TriviaEven though they play mother and daughter, Emily Rose is only nine years older than Emily Tennant in real-life.
- GoofsThe cops say they can't trace the daughter's phone, yet the criminal always has the phone on even has to stop it from ringing when the mother calls. The cops would have had him early in the film from GPS tracing.
