Things are different when it's affecting you

This episode explains why we should always have a healthy dose of skepticism on people in power, and how these people use that power. This includes civil rights leader. While civil rights leader may not have the power like the NYPD Commissioner or political offices, they have the power to influence the community.

The African-American community in NYC should be skeptical about Rev. Porter uses his power. He organizes protests against police brutality against "his people". However, it's apparently acceptable for him to tune up someone who's suspected of killing his son.

More importantly, while I'm not saying it's not a problem, I'm glad that Rev Porter sees for himself "400 years of institutional racism" has nothing to with his son being killed.

The Aeschylus quote Frank says near the end is a minor revision of the quote RFK spoke announcing the assassination of MLK.

Goofs
It's a common mistake made in film and television to say a person found dead on their arrival is DOA. But in actuality, DOA means a patient was dead on arrival at the hospital. It goes way back. And originates from the rules that a patient needed to be pronounced by a physician. Today the term still applies to a dead person arriving at a hospital. Today, with paramedics being given the power to declare a person dead, "Dead on the scene" is used to describe a person found dead outside a hospital. And this is because DOS is classification that denotes a scene that needs a coroner, not a ride in an ambulance.
