Exclusive: Rescue: Hi-Surf has cast actress and social media personality Olivia Culpo in the post Super Bowl episode airing Feb. 10.

In the episode, life will intimate art as Culpo tries to capture content after a literal minefield is discovered on the ocean floor.

The move to cast Culpo in the John Wells drama is part of Fox’s extensive Super Bowl Lix coverage. This year marks the first time Fox Sports is telecasting the game live on Tubi in 4K.

As part of the coverage, Culpo will host a first-of-its-kind, live pre-show titled the Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl Lix. It starts at 3:30pm Et, and is set to cover the “celebrity, fashion and culture behind America’s biggest sports event live from Caesars Superdome.”

The series was created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman, inspired by the 2017 movie How to Be a Latin Lover. The two-timeline series is centered around Maximo Gallardo Ramos, played by Eugenio Derbez in the present day and Enrique Arrizon in the past (1984), as Maximo lives out his rags-to-riches story.

Exclusive: The Peter Kallinteris Agency is launching Hollywood’s first talent division, dedicated specifically to diverse artists from the LGBTQ+ community.

The agency’s founder, Peter Kallinteris, made the announcement on Monday.

“Throughout the history of cinema, gays and lesbians have been portrayed in stereotypical roles and both are still often played by straight people,” he said, “but within the broader queer culture, there are subcultures, just as within any community. There are nuances within each that will never find its way in a table read. To create an authentic moment, the space has to be made for those who have lived that life every day. These are their stories, and they should have representation on screen. That’s why this division is so important.

Hulu is out with its list of everything new coming and everything leaving the streaming service in the month of October.

Highlights include seasons four and seven of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” Season 8 of “My 600-lb Life” featuring the late star Coliesa McMillian, and a bunch of cooking shows including seasons nine and 10 of “Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern,” Season 13 of “Cutthroat Kitchen” and Season 18 of “Hell’s Kitchen.” All of those come out Oct. 1.

For Halloween, catch the Hulu Original series “Monsterland” out Oct. 2.

On Oct. 14, catch the season premiere of “The Bachelorette” just one day after it airs on ABC.

Leaving Hulu on Oct. 31 are all five of the “Twilight” movies, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Footloose.”

October is officially spooky season and it’s nice to know that some streaming services (*cough*Disney+*cough*) are taking that responsibility very seriously.

For its new releases in October 2020, Hulu is premiering the Marvel TV universe’s first-ever outright horror series. Helstrom debuts on Oct. 16 and follows Marvel Comics character Daimon Helstrom as he struggles against all manner of demonic forces. Another spooky treat arriving this month is Monsterland on Oct. 2. This anthology will feature scary stories from around the country.

On the movie side of things, Hulu is bringing out Clive Barker adaptation Books of Blood on Oct. 7 and Bad Hair on Oct. 23. Thank you, Hulu, for your spooky service.

There are a lot of non-Hulu TV shows of note arriving in October as well. The final season of Homeland will be available to stream on Oct. 26. The premiere of Saturday Night Live‘s 46th season will arrive on Oct.

We’re now just over halfway through September, so let’s turn our attention to what’s coming to Hulu next month. Every October, the streaming service celebrates “Huluween” by adding a bunch of new Halloween-themed content. And this year is no different, with countless classic movies going up on the site that you’ll want to check out to get you in the spooky mood as well as a few notable originals.

These include anthology series Monsterland (October 2nd) and horror comedy film Bad Hair (October 23rd), starring Lena Waithe, Vanessa Williams and Laverne Cox, from Dear White People director Justin Simien. Superhero fans will also want to catch supernatural-themed Marvel series Helstrom (October 16th). The final production from Marvel Television, it’s sadly already doomed to just the one season.

Grasshopper Film has secured the U.S. distribution rights to Iwow: I Walk on Water, a documentary feature from New York-based photographer and filmmaker Khalik Allah, to released in physical and virtual theaters later this year. In Iwow, Allah focuses on longtime muse Frenchie, a 60-something schizophrenic, homeless Haitian man, who he becomes increasingly intertwined with. In parallel, Allah, the filmmaker behind Black Mother, also turns the camera on himself to document a turbulent romantic relationship and grapple with personal notions of spirituality and mortality – all inquiries about which he gathers advice from charismatic confidants including Fab 5 Freddy, members of the Wu-Tang Clan, and, in deeply moving exchanges, his own mother. Allah, who made his debut with the 2015 documentary Field Niggas, said “My objective hasn’t changed, it’s always been to keep it real with myself; to stay true to my vision and to have the courage to express it cinematically.

With Warner Bros. vacating its August 12 worldwide release date for “Tenet,” we’re still many weeks away from any approximation of normal business. Meanwhile, the VOD world continues apace with Rod Lurie’s Afghanistan war-set “The Outpost” leading the way. Now in its third week, the Screen Media title remains at #1 at Apple and Spectrum.

Perhaps even more impressive: “Outpost” is #2 at FandangoNow, which ranks by revenue — and Lurie’s film has a non-premium price of $6.99. Even outside a theater, some of its truisms remain — never underestimate the appeal of a military-themed film. In first place at FandangoNow was “Trolls World Tour,” which recently reduced its price from $19.99 to $5.99.

Among other recent premium VOD titles, the best showing this week is “The King of Staten Island” at #2 at Amazon Prime. However, there’s a growing trend for some more specialized titles to pop up. “John Lewis: Good Trouble,” the acclaimed documentary about the late Rep.

Though movie theaters still remain closed in most parts of the world, it’s not like there’s been a shortage of new content to keep folks entertained. And you can mostly thank the various streaming services for that.

Be it Netflix’s The Old Guard delivering action-packed thrills, Hulu’s Palm Springs bringing the laughs or Prime’s 7500 offering up a gripping watch, there’s been a ton of big new films on the small screen lately that have been making up for the lack of theatrical releases. But it’s not only the streamers who are bringing the goods.

On demand has been pretty hot for fresh titles, too, and there are a whopping 13 new movies that released via Amazon Video, iTunes, Vudu, etc., this weekend. While the plan remains, for theaters to open their doors again by the end of the month, as we've seen this year, things can change. At the very least, movie lovers have a couple of weeks before they can truly think about heading to a theater. But fear not, as there are plenty of new releases making their way to streaming this week to soak in.

This week sees several radically different war movies to choose from, as well as a new thriller from Netflix. We also have a new installment of Hulu's Into the Dark, a horror flick from Shudder and a bizarre martial arts remake starring Donnie Yen, among others. Here are this week's streaming selections.

Gravitas Ventures has obtained the North American rights Machine, a documentary about the rise of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning from I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead filmmaker Justin Krook. Set for an on-demand release on September 8, the James Maclurcan and Luke Mazzaferro-written film travels from Japan, Germany, America, Australia, and the United Nations in Geneva featuring inventors, engineers and thought leaders as they tackle the myriad of ethical dilemmas this radical new technology brings. Michael Hilliard and Luke Mazzaferro produced the pic via Australia-based production company Finch in association with Supper Club. Finch’s Rob Galluzzo, Supper Club’s David Gelb, Jason Sterman, Brian McGinn, and Sean Mckeever and Nick Cleaver served as executive producers. Endeavor Content negotiated the deal with Tony Piantedosi, Vice President of Acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures.

Luke Wilson is set to join the ensemble of the upcoming “Zombieland” sequel, sources tell Variety.

Wilson will star alongside Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin in “Zombieland 2.” As previously reported, Zoey Deutch, Thomas Middleditch, and Rosario Dawson are also boarding the cast.

In the sequel, the zombie slayers must face off against new kinds of living dead that have evolved since the first movie, as well as new human survivors. They have to also deal with the growing pains of their own makeshift family.

It’s unknown who Wilson will be playing in the pic.

Original “Zombieland” filmmaker Ruben Fleischer, who most recently helmed Sony’s “Venom,” is returning to direct the follow-up.
