When Martin Scorsese finally won the directing Oscar for 2006’s The Departed, he inspired a handful of film buffs to point out the supposed travesty implied by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences long ignoring the landmark titles on the filmmaker’s resume in favor of a remake. Few pointed out, or seemed to recall, that America’s most beloved living auteur, was not only no stranger to remakes, but took up the business of remaking, rebooting, and paying homage as a more than honorable foundation for a now-legendary body of work.

Back in the 2000s, Charmed was considered to be one of the best fantasy dramas thanks to its talented cast and dynamic characters. Airing on the WB Network between 1998 and 2006, Charmed followed the lives of the Halliwell Sisters (known as the Charmed ones), who come from a family of witches and spend most of their lives trying to save the world from the demonic underworld. While the battle between good and evil is always at the heart of most stories, the writers made sure that the series wasn't completely dark as they included elements of romance and comedy.
While Shannen Doherty, Hollie Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan often stood out among the Charmed cast due to the fact that they got the most screen time, the show also featured several other talented stars too who either played warlocks, demons, whitelighters, or Elders. Their characters may not have been...

Where do you go after headlining a "Star Wars" trilogy? It's a dilemma multiple actors have faced over the decades, and the outcomes have varied wildly. Some have gone on to enjoy incredible careers in fields such as voice acting and script doctoring, whereas others have followed their time playing in the immensely popular sci-fi fantasy sandbox by making actually real movies like the "'Romeo and Juliet,' but with pizza businesses" rom-com "Little Italy." Journeying to a galaxy far, far away can be a proper roll of the dice, in other words, so far as the impact it can have on your professional ambitions as a performer is concerned.
In the wake of the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, its leads have all found themselves in dramatically different places. Admittedly, not much has changed for Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver, both of whom have continued to make fascinating career choices,...

Sadly, some classic movies and one popular show in particular are leaving Netflix in October to make room for a spooky slate full of fright. “Schitt’s Creek” fans have until Oct. 2 to binge all six seasons before the show heads to Hulu for streaming. Any “After” fanfiction readers have until Oct. 8 to watch where the story begins between Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) and Tessa (Josephine Langford).
Other favorite films leaving the streamer in October include “Footlose,” “The Notebook” “Bridget Jones’ Diary,” “8 Mile,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Miss Congeniality,” and most of those titles depart on Halloween. TV shows leaving include “Naruto” Seasons 1-9, “Sofia the First,” “Hemlock Grove” Seasons 1-3, and of course all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek.”
Here’s a full list of what’s leaving Netflix in October and the dates that each title leaves:

Among the most fruitful actor-director pairings in movie history, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have earned critical plaudits and a slew of awards for their collaborations over the years. The two first paired up for the Little Italy coming-of-age story “Mean Streets” (1973), a commercial breakout for both that established them as a duo to watch in the burgeoning New Hollywood of the 1970s.
They followed that up with “Taxi Driver” (1976), a violent character study which earned De Niro a Best Actor Oscar nomination and won Scorsese the Palme d’Or at Cannes. Their next outing, the ambitious musical “New York, New York” (1977), brought De Niro a Golden Globe nomination as Best Comedy/Musical Actor.
They had greater Oscar success with the boxing biopic “Raging Bull” (1980), which won De Niro Best Actor and earned Scorsese his first bid as Best Director. Both competed at BAFTA for the darkly comic “The King of Comedy...

They are joined by Al Pacino, Anna Paquin, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, Stephen Graham, Kathrine Narducci, Gary Basaraba, J.C. Mackenzie and Craig Vincent.
Unfortunately, there’s no footage from the film in this trailer. but you do get to hear the voices of some of the actors and a bullet shell casing flying through the air.

Much like peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, and avocado and toast, it appears there's no better combination than pizza and an adorable romantic comedy. At least that's what it seems judging from our exclusive clip from the upcoming rom-com Little Italy.
Emma Roberts stars as Nikki, an up-and-coming chef returning home to her family's pizzeria in NYC, which has developed a fierce rivalry with the pizzeria nearby, which happens to be owned by Hayden Christensen's family. Some Romeo and Juliet vibes quickly take over as Nikki falls for Christensen's character, and the pair have to hide their relationship from their families.
In the clip above, not only will you get to see how their relationship first starts to take shape, but you might also be convinced to order figs as a topping on your next pizza. Watch it above before Little Italy hits theaters on Sept. 21.

A few days shy of his 75th birthday on Aug. 17, Robert De Niro hit the beach in Santa Monica, CA and took a dip in the Pacific. Though he’s marking his 50th year as a movie star, he’s never gone Hollywood — his hometown is where his heart is. "Hollywood is a place, an industry, and a state of mind," Robert has said. "But New York, New York is home." That’s where the most important people in his life are. "To me, family is everything," he shared. "My wife, Grace, my children, my grandkids [are] my entertainment, my art, my passion." Family has always come first for Robert, even though his parents — painters Robert De Niro Sr. and Virginia Admiral — divorced when he was only two years old. His dad came out as gay, and the family remained close; when Robert Sr. was stricken with cancer, Virginia cared for him,...

"Little Italy is not big enough for me and you!" Lionsgate has debuted the first official trailer for a cheesy romantic comedy titled Little Italy, the latest from veteran filmmaker Donald Petrie. This film has such a cheesy concept, the kind that makes you roll your eyes it's just so awful. Here's what Little Italy is about: a young couple must navigate a blossoming romance, amidst a war between their families' competing pizza restaurants. Emma Roberts and Hayden Christensen star, along with Alyssa Milano, Danny Aiello, and Andrea Martin.
