Will Chris Pine be in Wonder Woman 3? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
So, here’s the deal: Chris Pine isn’t all in on returning for Wonder Woman 3. The dude seems ready to pass the torch after two films playing the legendary Steve Trevoh. Pine, who first graced the screen in Wonder Woman (2017), nailed the chemistry with Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince. That on-screen romance? It hit us right in the feels. And let’s be honest, his death at the movie’s end? Still hurts. But then came Wonder Woman 1984, and shocker—Steve was somehow back in the flesh.
But now? Pine’s throwing cold water on the “Steve Trevor Returns” hype for the next movie. Talking to Et while promoting I Am the Night, Pine gave a pretty solid “nope” on a comeback, saying, “I think Steve’s done. I think Steve’s done his bit. I wish them all the luck in the world.

"Batman: The Animated Series" was created at Warner Bros. Animation by and for an American audience. As is common practice in American cartoons, though, the animation work was outsourced to studios in southeast Asia.
One of those subcontractors was Japan's Sunrise, the home of the "Gundam" franchise and the studio that would go on to make "Cowboy Bebop." One of the most famous and well-regarded studios in Japan, Sunrise (officially known as Bandai Namco Filmworks these days) is where several animators (such as the founders of Studio Bones) first built their careers.
Sunrise handled seven episodes of "Batman: The Animated Series" — "Pretty Poison," "The Cat and the Claw, Part I," "Heart of Steel," "I Am the Night," "The Clock King," "Off Balance," and "The Man Who Killed Batman." Sunrise itself is divided up into several smaller studios; "Batman" was handled by Studio 6. The experience apparently left an impact, though,...

Every anthology TV show has high points and low points, and that includes the best one ever made. Rod Serling's seminal 1959 series "The Twilight Zone" broke new ground in small screen storytelling week after week, delivering sci-fi tinged homilies about the human condition. The show looked to the future frequently and to the past more often than you might remember, but its best stories still feel timeless in their acute understanding of fear, loneliness, love, hatred, and mortality. While most shows have a small handful of standout episodes, "The Twilight Zone" has dozens.
And yet, it's not perfect. Any total watchthrough of the series reveals a few distinct flaws, including repetitive plot points and the show's profound inability to pull off more humorous outings. "The Twilight Zone" is a monument in television history, one that's as daring and imaginative as the medium has ever been, but some seasons of...

Chris Pine has proven to be many things. He's Wonder Woman's soulmate, the intergalactic space captain, James T. Kirk, and special agent, Jack Ryan. He's also become one of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs, having competed for the affection of Anne Hathaway in Princess Diaries 2 and by transforming into a spoiled, crooning prince vying for Anna Kendrick's love in Into the Woods. Across his career, Pine has covered more ground than most could dream of; floating from action films and musicals to romance, he abruptly took a left-turn into a role and genre he'd scarcely approached before. Reuniting with director, Patty Jenkins, Pine gives one of his greatest, most underrated performances in the TNT true-crime series, I Am the Night.

Connie Nielsen left FBI after the pilot episode for unknown reasons, leading to her character being replaced by Sela Ward's Dana Mosier. Nielsen's departure may have been due to her busy schedule and involvement in other projects during the time of FBI's release. Ward's exit from FBI was scripted into the season 1 finale, with her character resigning after making a risky decision. Ward joined the show under a one-year contract.
FBI replaced Connie Nielsen with Sela Ward after its pilot episode, starting a trend of short character arcs in the franchise. FBI, which currently has 6 seasons, focuses on the day-to-day operations of the New York Field Office criminal division. Nielsen's Ellen Solberg was a figurehead of the division as Special Agent in Charge. Nielsen and her character didn't have a planned conclusion in the show, and she departed suddenly without explanation.

True Detective has to be one of the most brilliant anthology mystery thriller shows ever made. Originally created by Nic Pizzolatto, the HBO series told a dark and haunting tale through the brilliant performances by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in its first season. The quality of the series took a nosedive in its second season and the third season while better from Season 2 didn’t really match the expectation that the inaugural season of True Detective set. Now, we are in Season 4 titled Night Country and with a new creative force behind the series, the fans are getting exactly what they want. So, if you have already finished the much awaited Season 4 of True Detective and are hoping for a renewal, here are some similar shows you could watch while waiting for the new season.

It has been seven years since the last time Chris Pine starred as Star Trek's Captain James T. Kirk in 2016's Star Trek Beyond, but the actor has certainly been busy in the meantime. Pine first took up the role of Captain Kirk in 2009 for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, the first installment in a new series of Trek stories following a younger, alternate universe version of Jim Kirk and his crew. As established in that film, Abrams' Star Trek movies take place in an alternate timeline, known as the Kelvin timeline, where Romulus and Vulcan have both been destroyed.
Chris Pine plays a younger, more rebellious version of Kirk than William Shatner portrayed in Star Trek: The Original Series. Alongside Zachary Quinto's Spock and Karl Urban's Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Pine helped introduce an entirely new audience to the universe of Star Trek. Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness...

Exclusive: Sugar23 has signed rising star Brooklynn Prince, on the heels of her new film Cocaine Bear‘s opening weekend triumph, with a current worldwide gross of $28M+ at the worldwide box office, against a production budget of roughly $30M.
The R-rated horror-comedy directed for Universal by Elizabeth Banks has broken out as one of the early success stories of 2023, affirming that original features, and those in the comedy arena, can certainly still perform in today’s marketplace. Based loosely on real events that took place in 1985, the film watches as a duffel bag’s worth of cocaine drops from a drug smuggler’s plane and winds up in a Georgia forest, becoming a favorite snack for a hulking black bear. An electric set of unfortunate souls, including Prince, Keri Russell and Christian Convery, are then subject to the animal’s murderous rampage.

"Batman: The Animated Series" may be a wholly original take on the Dark Knight but it's also indebted to numerous inspirations. Show co-creators Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski, along with writer Paul Dini, were keen to draw on not just the best of Batman's history, but cultural history in general. The goal was to produce a show that, as Dini told Syfy, depicted "a dark world, a world where crime really exists on every level." That approach would often cause them to run afoul of the Fox censors, who weren't enthusiastic about the show's mature tone. After all, this was a Fox Kids cartoon.
Thankfully, the team behind "Batman: Tas" were adept at navigating their way through the treacherous waters of Standards and Practices, maintaining their mature vision despite frequent pushback. And that extended beyond the usual stuff that gets censors riled up, such as violence or edgy language. The...

Yul Vázquez is teaming up with Forest Whitaker in the upcoming third season of Godfather of Harlem as a new series regular.
Godfather of Harlem tells a story inspired by infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from eleven years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. Season Three will find Bumpy Johnson continuing to battle for control of Harlem, with other aspirants to the throne, namely the Cuban Mafia from neighboring Spanish Harlem. Taking on the Cuban mob will put Bumpy, his loved ones, and his community in the crosshairs of not only the rival Italians, but ruthless Latin assassins and, ultimately, the CIA. Godfather of Harlem is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.

Batman: The Animated Series avoided a tiresome Batman trope by accident, and it led to some of the show’s best Batman moments. Considered one of the best Batman adaptations, Batman: The Animated Series did what many big-budget superhero films often struggle to do – it captured the feeling of a Batman comic and perfectly translated it to the screen. From the noir visuals to the more serious storytelling, Batman: Tas was a landmark not only for superhero cartoons but for animated shows in general, and it proved that the animation media could welcome more mature themes. That said, Batman: Tas was still aimed at younger audiences and had to deal with censorship.
As a show that first aired on Fox Kid’s daytime, Batman: Tas had to be very conscious of what themes it would explore and how much violence it would feature. While Batman: Tas pushed the limits...

There are plenty of lessons to learn from the '60s anthology TV show "The Twilight Zone." Lessons like "don't judge a book by its cover," and "make sure you have a second pair of glasses." Perhaps more noteworthy was the way it used its speculative elements to tackle larger social issues, using the speculative elements as allegories for the stuff they actually wanted to talk about.
For example, the 1960 episode "Eye of the Beholder" is about a woman getting plastic surgery in the hopes of looking normal, only for us to discover that the definition of normal in this society is very different from our own; the episode serves as a commentary on how beauty standards are subjective and influenced by the people around us. Another episode, "The Monsters are Due of Maple Street," serves as a not-so-subtle indictment of McCarthyism, centering around a small town that descends into paranoid madness.

Apple has ordered the limited series “Manhunt,” which tells the story of the hunt for U.S President Abraham Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth.
The series hails from Monica Beletsky and is based on the book “Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer” by James Swanson. Tobias Menzies will star as Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s War Secretary and friend, who was driven nearly to madness by the need to catch Booth and to carry out Lincoln’s legacy. According to an individual with knowledge of the project, it will also feature Black historical figures, including Mary Simms, a former slave of the doctor who treated Booth’s injury and gave him safe harbor after his crime.
The series marks the first order under Beletsky’s overall deal with Apple, which was recently renewed. Beletsky is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner on “Manhunt.” Carl Franklin will direct and executive produce.

“Wonder Woman 1984″ director Patty Jenkins didn’t mince words during a Thursday chat at this week’s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas. First, she spoke candidly about her experience with the sequel going straight to HBO Max day-and-date with theaters.
“It was the best choice in a bunch of bad choices at the moment” and a “heartbreaking experience,” Jenkins said, according to Deadline from a report on the ground. Like the rest of Warner Bros.’ 2021 slate, most of the studio’s 2020 titles went straight to the streaming platform. “Wonder Woman 1984” ended up being watched by nearly four million households, but Jenkins said the hybrid release was “detrimental to the movie.”
She added, “I don’t think it plays the same on streaming, ever,” and said, “I’m not a fan of day-and-date and I hope to avoid it forever.”

Netflix is giving viewers some more insight into The Umbrella Academy Season 3.
As part of the streamer's GeekedWeek event, it unveiled the episode titles for all ten episodes.

In all likelihood, The Umbrella Academy Season 3 will not be on the air until 2022, and there will be some big changes.

It’s time for a hero when Wonder Woman 1984 arrives on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on 22nd March. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”) in the title role. To celebrate the release, we have 5 Blu-rays up for grabs for 5 lucky winners.
The fate of the world is once more on the line, and only Wonder Woman can save it. This new chapter in the Wonder Woman story finds Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) living quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s—an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she’s come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile, curating ancient artifacts and only performing her superheroic acts incognito. But now, Diana will have to step directly into the spotlight and muster all her wisdom, strength and courage in order to save mankind from a world of its own making.

“The Umbrella Academy” has cast the members of the Sparrow Academy for the Netflix drama’s upcoming third season, the streaming service said Monday.
As fans will remember, the Sparrow Academy is a bizarro version of the Umbrella Academy, which exists in the altered timeline that the Hargreeves siblings return to in 2019 at the end of Season 2.
In this version of events, Sir Reginald Hargreeves still adopted seven of the forty-three children who were all born on the same day in 1989 to a mother who had not previously shown signs of pregnancy, however all of his adoptees are different from the Umbrella Academy members — with the exception of Ben.

In this version of events, Sir Reginald Hargreeves still adopted seven of the forty-three children who were all born on the same day in 1989 to a mother who had not previously shown signs of pregnancy, however all of his adoptees are different from the Umbrella Academy members — with the exception of Ben.
The new lineup includes Marcus, a.k.a. Sparrow #1 (played by Justin Cornwell); Ben, Sparrow #2 (Min); Fei, Sparrow #3 (Britne Oldford); Alphonso, Sparrow #4, (Jake Epstein); Sloane, Sparrow #5 (Genesis Rodriguez); Jayme, Sparrow #6 (Cazzie David); Christopher, Sparrow #7.

Sugar23 has raised $30 million in financing and unveiled a bench of top executives that it hopes will help the company expand more aggressively into everything from talent management to podcasting.
Founded in 2017 by Academy Award-winning producer, manager and entrepreneur Michael Sugar, the company is hoping to be something of a catch-all service provider for top talent. Not only will it represent actors, artists, showrunners and filmmakers, it will also help incubate their content and set up companies and other branding opportunities. Sugar23 has a production deal with Netflix, as well as business partnerships with the likes of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Nelson Mandela Media and Time Magazine.
“The desire here is to create something much more significant than a traditional services business,” Sugar told Variety. Having been behind the careers of so many artists and also seeing this from the production side, I saw a ton of white space and missed opportunities.
