Justice League may not be the greatest or most successful film of 2017, but Zack Snyder’s ensemble piece will still be remembered as one of the more historic movies ever created under Warner Bros.’ roof – regardless of the box office numbers and/or Rotten Tomatoes score.
Bringing together DC’s finest roster of heroes, Justice League certainly delivered on the action front, as Batman and the gang joined forced in the face of a common enemy: Steppenwolf. Ciarán Hinds’ butt-ugly supervillain didn’t make much of a first impression – no thanks to the film’s spotty CGI – and if you’re wondering why Warner Bros. never considered delaying Justice League to allow more time for visual effects, a new report from The Wrap claims corporate greed intervened.
Indeed, sources close to the outlet even went so far as to claim that Warner’s bigwigs considered parting ways with Zack Snyder...

Earlier this year, Zack Snyder stepped back from the very bright spotlight of “Justice League” to deal with a tragic, family situation, and passed the reins to Joss Whedon, who will be finishing picture. Now, the filmmaker is slowly stepping back behind the camera, flexing some creative muscles with a new, iPhone shot short film, “Snow Steam Iron” (trailer below). However, even as the director gets back to work, he won’t be reuniting with the “Justice League” gang.

For the first time since Zack Snyder stepped away from Justice League, the director talks about not being a part of the film project anymore. During an interview with Wired, while discussing a short film that he recently directed called Snow Steam Iron, the trailer for which you can watch here, he talks about how he is excited and happy about the team currently working on the film and says that it would be "unfair in a lot of ways" for him to get back involved. Snyder explains:
"I’m at a place where I feel excited about it and I’m happy for my guys and I love these people that are working on it, and they’re my family and I think they’re doing an amazing job. But I’ve kind of just let them do their thing."
Snyder comes off as being a really respectable dude.

Four long months have passed since Zack Snyder vacated the director’s chair on Justice League to tend to a personal tragedy, and in light of his newly-released short film Snow Steam Iron, the DC stalwart has posted a candid interview on life after Justice League.
Zack Snyder and wife/producing partner Deborah will still be credited for their extensive work laying the foundations for what is undoubtedly Warner’s most ambitious Dceu movie to date, but after stepping down back in May, Zack Snyder admitted that he “kind of just let them do their thing” to shepherd Justice League over the finish line.
And though online rumors stated otherwise, Snyder also stressed that it would be “unfair” to waltz back onto the set after such a lengthy break, and believes those involved – namely two-time Avengers director Joss Whedon – are doing an “amazing job” in executing on his original vision,...

Get a load of this! While taking a break from Hollywood, Zack Snyder made a short film entirely on an iPhone for the social media app Vero. Titled Snow Steam Iron, the short film is set on the gritty streets of New York and stars Samantha Jo as a woman who decides to fight back. Co-starring Victoria Jacobsen. Vero explains: "Looking for an opportunity to change the alchemy, to challenge himself with new variables, to literally look at filmmaking through a new lens, Zack envisioned his next project." This turned out pretty cool, especially for a film made entirely on an iPhone without any dialogue. Then again, we shouldn't expect anything less from Snyder. The full short is exclusive to watch only on Vero for the moment, but it is there. Snow Steam Iron. Snow gently falls on the blood-stained streets of a seedy out-of-time New York City. Steam envelopes...

When Zack Snyder made his heavy-hearted departure from Justice League earlier this year after a tragic personal loss, fans of the blockbuster director were unsure when they could expect to see him back behind the camera. In a surprise move, Snyder revealed last week that he had been working on a microbudget short film asking, "What can you do with your talented friends & family, no money and a weekend?" The answer is Snow Steam Iron, a seedy tale of crime and revenge told in Snyder's dialogue-free, four-minute short film, which is now available to watch …...
