Ok series 1 solid enough, some good laughs, a few tears and decent enough to hold your attention and want to see how the characters progress.
Season 2 ( and I'm a grown man) had me in floods of tears, as with any relationship it develops with time and Christ on a cat this does that, blubbering like a schoolgirl for a few episodes.
Well worth a watch, Def worth your time watching it and best case you'll come out of it with a greater understanding of people worse case you'll have a few giggles and a few tears.
Enjoy
I really like the acting, and the writing is alright.
The issue I have with this show is how unrealistic it is and how it romanticizes being sick. I'm a chronically sick girl and there's nothing romantic or cute about it. I don't like how they don't show any of the hardest parts but show the romantic parts.
It is also very medically inaccurate. Some of ot just seems so far fetched. Like the hospital prom and wedding is so corny.
I also think the episodes amd seasons should be longer. The episodes end as soon as they get interesting.
Overall an entertaining show but with many flaws.
As the show gets out of the way very quickly, Zac was your normal run of the mill kid interested in math, girls, and college. All of that went away when he was diagnosed with cancer at 17. We catch up with him while he is in isolation after treatment and very bored and very terrified. While there he meets headstrong Mia who has checked in for chemo for cancer that is supposed to be 80% curable. Mia is just going to get this over with and then back to her popular girl life... but things don't turn out like she thinks they will.
The actors here are strong and I buy their growing love in a desperate place. The story is not afraid to go for the unhappy ending (perhaps this is from the book) and that only helps bring meaning to their growing relationship.
My only problem with the show was that it was super unrealistic. Both actors looked like they could jump out of bed and on to a fashion show the entire time. the hospital rooms were massive and lit in the most romantic way possible. Finally Zac and Mia do a lot of talking via thin walls. And I find that hard to believe in a hospital. But if you can let that go - this is a strong show.

When I saw the trailer for this I was skeptical. A story along the lines of The Fault In Our Stars, but done in 12 minute increments? How could that possibly be any good?
Well, I can tell you right now, the descriptions and trailers for this don't do it justice...this is one of the best, most touching, and best of all REAL things that I have seen in a long time. It is incredible. Heartwarming, sweet, at times vicious in its honesty, and it can be hard to watch because it pulls no punches and doesn't sugar-coat the realities of dealing with cancer, and at such a young age too.
This series is truly beautiful and, I believe, is something that needs to be seen by as many people as possible. I can't recommend this enough! Give it a try, I promise you'll be glad you did (just make sure to have some tissues handy when you do) 9/10

This show needs more recognition!!! It is so underrated. I started it on Netflix not really expecting much, but it drew me in INSTANTLY. Do yourself a favor and watch this show. You won't regret it.
