There is a mode in Ghost of Tsushima called "Kurosawa Mode" named after the acclaimed Japanese Director Akira Kurosawa. The game developers, Sucker Punch Productions, offered the Kurosawa estate an advance copy of the game in order to gain permission to use his name. On playing the game, the estate granted their blessing. Kurosawa Mode turns your video game into a grainy black-and-white film, and the end result is very much like playing a video game based on the director's iconic classic, The Seven Samurai.

Goofs
Since this game takes place during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274, weapons (katana, wakizashi, hwacha) and techniques weren't present in real life until at least a century later.

Samurai Fantasy

Sony once again have another top class exclusive for the PlayStation 4. The Island of Tsushima is beautifully realised by SuckerPunch in their first game in over 6 years. The massive open world is vast and dense with luscious biomes and unique activities that put a twist on the conventional collectible grinding. Additionally, these present new ways of allowing the player to be immersed within Tsushima by guiding the player without the use of a waypoint or having to open the map.
