Most anime are not geared toward children. Many of them have themes that only teens up to adults would be mature enough to handle. As a parent who loves anime, it's hard to know what and when to share one’s passions with one’s children. Parenthood can be tough. Thankfully, Crunchyroll has many anime that families - or just parents - can enjoy.
Crunchyroll’s plethora of series ensures all demographics are covered. Some anime are shared as a family. These anime are fun and cutesy or classic adventures that families can take on together. Other anime simply show the struggles and highs of parenthood, and how being an adult surrounded by children can affect one’s life. No matter what Otaku parents are looking for, Crunchyroll is sure to have an anime to fit the bill.

There are few forms of storytelling that are as endlessly versatile as anime. There’s so much creativity to be found in the different animation styles that anime features, but the medium becomes even more exciting with the many unique genres that it’s able to explore. It truly feels like there’s an anime series to cater to every interest and pastime, but it’s the fast-paced and battle-filled action anime that often receive the most attention.
Aggressive shonen series are certainly popular, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a wide variety of anime that lean in the opposite direction. After a tough day, sometimes diving right into a show full of painfully intricate plots isn't ideal. Luckily, there's plenty of anime out there that can ease the stresses of daily life.

While action may be a spectacle and drama can be intriguing, sometimes the best anime are laid-back slice-of-life series. Slice-of-life is an absolutely pivotal genre in anime, as it can show the small intricacies of day-to-day life that be affirming. Sometimes, after a difficult day, nothing beats unwinding with a great slice-of-life anime.
While slice-of-life is its own genre, it is certainly a diverse one. Slice-of-life anime can be about school life, city life, rural life, and can even have a slightly mystical twist. More than just simple though, all these series can almost be healing as their more peaceful nature shines through. The best laid-back slice-of-life anime are peaceful enough to make fans forget the world and their problems for a little while, and sometimes, that's exactly what's needed.

My Clueless First Friend is an anime that focuses on the importance of genuine friendships and uses misdirection to address the issue of bullying. Taiyo's optimism and empathy attract friends to Akane, helping her overcome her bullies and gain confidence in herself. The series prioritizes friendship over romantic relationships and showcases the heartwarming and pure development of childhood friendships.
Several light-hearted and hilarious anime series focus on the friendship between two children, such as School Babysitters and Teasing Master Takagi-san. Yet, there is one childhood friend-focused anime that is deserving of attention: My Clueless First Friend. The series is set in elementary school: a shy Goth girl named Akane Nishimura befriends the new transfer student, Taiyo Takada. Taiyo finds Akane amazing because there is a rumor that she has supernatural abilities. However, Taiyo doesn't realize that Akane is bullied by her peers for being "different."
My Clueless First Friend isn't your typical childhood crush story.
