Saturday Night Live has served as a launching pad to TV superstardom (Tina Fey and Bill Hader), dominance at the box office and even #1 music albums (Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi). But not every SNL star goes on to greater showbiz heights.
Here are five comedians who killed on the show only to find they just weren’t as good at anything else. In fairness, as insults go, “You were better at Saturday Night Live than anything else,” isn’t the worst that one could hear.

Joe Piscopo might have been the first comedian to get huge on Saturday Night Live who couldn’t transfer that success beyond the show. It’s 1978 in Jenkins, Texas, and, with their parents away, a group of teens decides to play spin the bottle in the basement of one of the group’s houses. The fact she does her best to get them to play elsewhere just makes them more determined to convince her. Once we see the basement, it’s obvious why she didn’t want them down there, it’s full of snakes, pentagrams and other spooky stuff. Needless to say, this does not end well.
In the present day, Cole and his mother Maura have run into rough times since the death of his father. She’s checking herself into a facility to get herself back together, he’s going to make the old family home liveable. But before he does,...

Anthony C. Ferrante, who used to write for Fangoria magazine back in the day, has directed twenty feature films over the course of his directing career – and several of those are shark thrillers. Ferrante was the director behind the over-the-top shark action of Sharknado, and when that movie turned out to be a pop culture sensation he returned to direct all five of the increasingly over-the-top sequels. The franchise wrapped up in 2018… and now, five years later, Ferrante has directed his seventh shark movie. A production of The Asylum, it’s a thriller called Blind Waters – and it’s already available to watch on the Tubi streaming service! To help you decide whether or not this movie is something you’d want to watch on Tubi, we have the trailer embedded above.

If ever there was a cult horror franchise to ramp up the escapism at the expense of reality, it’s Sharknado.
The six-part saga initially whipped up a storm back in 2013 with a premise so bizarre – so bat-shit insane – that it demanded attention: Sharknado is a “made-for-television sci-fi disaster film about a waterspout that lifts sharks out of the ocean and deposits them in Los Angeles.”
With each new installment, things got progressively more insane, as Sharknado‘s writing team tossed in time travel, dinosaurs, and chainsaw-wielding heroes, culminating in the launch of Sharknado 6, the final entry in this most bizarre of franchises.
And this weekend, you’ll be able to revisit Sharknado from the very beginning. Because whether you’re a series newcomer or a life-long apologist fan, Syfy has announced an all-day movie marathon. It kicks off at precisely 8am Est on Sunday, April 5th, and the...

Actress Tara Reid, aka 'April Wexler', co-star with Ian Ziering in all six of Syfy's "Sharknado" movies since 2013, has suddenly filed a $100 million lawsuit over the use of her face on slot machines promoting the film series:
The suit points to Reid's contract for the sixth "Sharknado" film, that states "..in no event shall her likeness be used for any merchandising in association with alcohol, tobacco, gambling, hygiene, or sexual products without prior written approval..."
Premise of the first film in the series sees a freak cyclone hitting Los Angeles, causing water spouts that scoop up man-eating sharks, while flooding the city with infested seawater.
The most recent film, "The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time", aired August 19, 2018.

SyFy has released the full trailer for The Last Sharknado: It's About Time and it looks more absurd than you could ever imagine. This next film takes the story through multiple time periods throughout the history of the world and in the process, there are all kinds of sharks to fight! That includes dragon sharks from the medieval times and robot sharks from the future. Then we get to see a shark fight a T-Rex, a shark bite off some dude's arm in the wild west, and Benjermin Franklin punch a shark. Just wait until you see what the human population looks like in the future. This is so stupid...

In a new interview promoting The Last Sharknado: It's About Time, actress Tara Reid was seen slurring her words and going on weird tangents. The interview was being conducted in New York City for Australian TV, which did cause some delay in Reid's earpiece, and may account for the tangents. But the slurred speech has many worried about Reid's health. Although the 42-year old actress was slurring, she was still able to promote the film and revealed that it's her favorite one out of the whole franchise. Reid even teased that there could be another Sharknado project in the future.
While Tara Reid was able to adequately promote Sharknado 6, fans are worried about her. In addition to the slurred speech, she's also squinting her eyes and stumbling over her words in the interview. Plus, the crew interviewing her seem to be laughing in spots. Reid was also having difficulty keeping her earpiece in,...

Sharknado 6 will premiere at the end of the Sharknado week on Sunday, August 19th.
Things looked pretty bleak at the end of Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, with Ian Ziering's Fin character alone after the Earth had been destroyed. In Sharknado 6, Fin must go back in time to stop the original Sharknado and save the world.

In 1975, Jaws made people afraid to go in the water. Then, in 2013, Sharknado came along and likely forced a small percentage of people to fear the outdoors as a whole, lest a rogue shark come by and slaughter them on their front lawn.
In the time since, four sequels have followed suit, each upping the level of absurdity and featuring a boatload of unexpected celebrity cameos, with everyone from weatherman extraordinaire Al Roker to Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor showing up in small roles. And when factoring all that in, it leaves little room to wonder why this franchise has become the crown jewel in the SyFy network’s proud line of original B-movies, the likes of which have included such gems as Sharktopus and the timeless classic Mega Croc vs. Gatoroid.
But as long as people keep tuning in, the sequels will keep on coming. Or at least, that’s...

The Syfy Channel has released the first teaser trailer for Sharknado 6 and they announced that the title of the film will be The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. They can say that this is the last Sharknado film all they want, but I can't help but think that all this marketing for it being the final film in the franchise, is all just a way to set it up for Sharknado 7! Remember that time when the Saw franchise was supposed to end? The title also makes a point of letting fans know that the story is "about time", with the whole time-travel element. Anyway, here's the synopsis:
Our hero Fin (Ian Ziering) has battled sharks all over the globe, but in this last installment he will tackle the final shark-tier -- time travel. In the ending moments of Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, Fin was seen wandering alone on Earth after it was destroyed.

However, the network has now committed to a summer release date for what is being touted as the final installment of the series. Be prepared, as the final Sharknado arrives on Sunday, August 19, just in time to finish out the summer movie season in style, bearing in mind that style doesn't always mean good. At one point mullets were popular, lest we forget.

The programming will run from Sunday, August 12 through Sunday, August 19, culminating with the premiere of Sharknado 6. All good things must come to an end. And by the same logic, all ridiculous but somehow enduring things must also come to an end. With that, the Sharknado franchise is being put out to greener pasture. SyFy has decided to end the long-running B-movie series after the upcoming Sharknado 6. But they're going to go out with a bang, as the final installment is going to jump to new levels of ridiculous by introducing time travel into the mix. So fans of Sharknado still have one extra insane adventure to look forward to.
There's no exact word on why the network is calling it quits after Sharknado 6, but our guess is because they've already made five other Sharknado movies and they're surprisingly just now running out of ideas. The fact that such a truly campy idea made it this far is impressive. So, the question is, what are...

Syfy let a goofy joke get out of hand after their original B-movie Sharknado became a ratings hit. The movie about a tornado that picks up sharks from the ocean and sends them into the flooding city streets of Los Angeles launched an inexplicable franchise that has delivered four sequels so far. But Syfy has […]

After six incredibly ridiculous movies, Syfy Channel's Sharknado franchise is finally coming to an end. According to TVLine, Sharknado 6 will be the final chapter in the battle against the shark-filled tornadoes.
In Sharknado 5: Global Swarming the lead character Finn (Ian Ziering) is wandering the Earth alone after it was destroyed. In this sixth film, he will travel back in time to stop the Sharknado that started it all. Here's the synopsis that was previously released:
All is lost, or is it? Fin unlocks the time-traveling power of the Sharknados in order to save the world and resurrect his family. In his quest, Fin fights Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and even takes a ride on Noah’s Ark. This time, it’s not how to stop the sharknados, it’s when.
Sharknado 6 will also bring back franchise vets Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo and Vivica A. Fox. You can also expect...

All good campy things must come to an end: Syfy has greenlit a sixth and final Sharknado film, TVLine has learned exclusively. The currently untitled Sharknado 6 is slated to bow this summer and will find the franchise diving into uncharted waters: time travel.
As you may or may not recall, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming found Ian Ziering’s leading man Finn wandering alone on Earth after it was destroyed. In the final flick, he must travel back in time to stop the Sharknado that started it all.

Syfy has decided that its upcoming TV movie Sharknado 6 will serve as the final installment in the long-running B-movie franchise. Few people really saw the massive success of the Sharknado franchise coming. The first film’s objectively crazy premise earned itself some early online attention, but Syfy had made films just as crazy before that hadn’t managed to blow up. Yet, thanks to some smart marketing and a heavy social media presence, Sharknado became a small-scale event, being watched by nearly 1.4 million people, a good number for basic cable.

Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott, aren't letting a couple police visits and a possible mental breakdown ruin their love life, especially when cameras are rolling. Tori and Dean were spotted filming a scene Monday in Malibu for what we're told is a 'Sharknado' TV spot -- perhaps as a teaser for 'Sharknado 6,' which comes out this summer. Aside from shooting off a fake laser gun with Tara Reid,...
