Acorn TV has announced the titles that will be available on the AMC-owned streaming service in January 2025. The Acorn TV January 25 slate adds to the service’s various acclaimed English and foreign-language dramas, engaging comedies, documentaries, and more.

The January schedule includes The Catch, Darby and Joan Season 2, The Gone, The Graham Norton Show, and more.

Simon Hurdon has joined Curate as a manager, based in both Los Angeles and New York.

The Canadian manager brings with him an international client list that includes filmmakers Ariane Louis-Seize (Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person) Caroline Monnet (Bootlegger), Elza Kephart (Slaxx), Amelia Moses (Bleed with Me, Bloodthirsty) and Yves Christian Fournier (Clean Sweep, Everything is Fine).

Hurdon, who was previously an agent at Montreal based Omada Agency, began his career in corporate law and then later entertainment and IP law, before transitioning into representation.

“This is an exciting milestone for Curate. Our guiding light is to be creator driven as well as having an international focus. The idea of local for local is important to us. Simon’s taste and international reach amplifies both of these goals,” said the Curate partners in a statement.

Added Hurdon: “I am so thrilled to be joining the ranks of such an impressive team.

Bonnie Aarons is back as the demon Valak in the first trailer for The Nun II. While this entry may only be the second Nun film, it marks the ninth overall film in The Conjuring franchise, not counting the canonical short films that won the My Annabelle Creation contest. ‘Paper Empire’ Sets Entire Third Season Shoot At Saudi Arabia’s Film AlUla

Cryptocurrency drama Paper Empire will film the entirety of its 10-episode third season at Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning shooting hub and location Film AlUla. British actor Jefferson Hall will soon appear on screen in Emirati director Nayla Al Khaja’s psychological thriller “Three,” about a young boy who appears to be possessed.

Al Khaja – who is known for standout shorts including horror film “The Shadow” and “Animal” that both play on Netflix – has just wrapped the independently-produced “Three,” her debut feature, which was shot in Thailand.

AMC Networks’ streaming platform Sundance Now is expanding its 2023 slate with orders for two new series, dark comedy Totally Completely Fine and fantasy mystery series Sanctuary, based on V.V. James novel. They join the recently announced upcoming series Clean Sweep, The Lovers, SisterS, Black Snow, and Far North, all for premiere in 2023.

Inspired by true events, six-part dark comedy Totally Completely Fine, a Sundance Now Original series, stars Thomasin McKenzie (JoJo Rabbit) and explores the complexities of grief, the power of friendship, and the ways our sadness can unite us. Per the logline, the series follows 20-something Vivian Cunningham (McKenzie), whose life is a mess. Last week she accidentally burnt down her brother’s vegan food truck with a bacon-flavored vape and this week she’s inherited her grandfather’s coastal clifftop shack and is tasked with helping people who come too close to the edge.

Series also stars Devon Terrell (Rap Sh!
