It’s the most wonderful time of the year, so in between present wrapping and chestnut roasting why not watch some anime? Despite Christmas having a markedly different cultural role in Japan compared to many Western countries there are a lot of shows that use it as a jumping off point. It’s a good opportunity for some heartwarming character moments, be they romance or friendship, and maybe a few antics involving presents or Santa costumes. So, for the twelve days of Christmas here are 12(ish) episodes from that are fun little additions to the season.

This is just Christmas episodes of anime series. This is because we all know that the ultimate Christmas anime movie is Satoshi Kon’s Tokyo Godfathers which should be immediately watched if not seen.

Hallmark Channel has announced a new, original movie, A Very Vermont Christmas, to air as part of the popular Christmas in July programming event.

The movie stars Katie Leclerc as a Vermont brewmaster and local champion skier, and Ryan McPartlin as a novice skier. Together, they brew up the perfect seasonal microbrew to save her family’s business in time for Christmas.

It's never too early to get into the holiday spirit! This July, Hallmark will bring good tidings with two new movies to help viewers feel the Christmas cheer early on. According to Entertainment Weekly, the first film, Christmas Camp, will premiere on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on July 7. The story revolves around an advertising executive (Lily Anne Harrison) who must land the account of a traditional toy company for a promotion. She decides to attend a "Christmas Camp" where she meets the camp owner's son (Bobby Campo), who teaches her about the holidays. And considering how romantic Hallmark's Christmas movies tend to be, we're sure sparks will fly between the two.

Hallmark is kicking off the Christmas season early.

The channel will air two original Christmas films next month, People confirms. The two new movies are part of the record-breaking 40 Christmas films that Hallmark will release this year.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere Christmas Camp on July 7 at 9 p.m, Entertainment Weekly first reported. This film will focus on Hayley (played by Lily Anne Harrison), an advertising executive who’ll need to bring in a traditional toy company account to get a promotion at work.
