As I sit here watching this show with my kids, I can't help but crack up at it. The script writers have excelled themselves. No, it's probably not quite going to get an oscar nomination, but it's a kids tv show that has a real storyline, isn't completely inaine and doesn't insult the intelligence of the target audience.

Great moral story seen through the eyes of a group of 5th graders. The plot is appropriately simple, the characters are well-developed, and the dialogue is witty.

Just watched Hard Ball with my kids and the attitude was rebellious... I can handle that but then the language changed to "Stuff this" lead to my kids language shortly after to "Stuff you" !!! Not happy won't be watching this again with my kids.

I thought the ABC was sensitive to this sort of thing!!.

A wholesome, inclusive and relevant kids show for the day and demographic. Recognisable language and super relatable for my Aussie kids that have grown up in a multicultural Aussie suburb. If you're from Sydney it's probably even more relatable but it's not necessary. Our whole family thoroughly enjoys it! The characters are super sweet and there's a cute lesson in every episode. Second season there is a lot of change due to the delay in filming with Covid but so far the kids are still really enjoying it. Highly recommend it for kids aged 7-12. We need more shows like this to come out of Australia!
