Honoka Inoue , known as Xiaomei in Edens Zero and Kotone Kazairo in RPG Real Estate , is cast as the title character, Anne Shirley. Mecha might not be as popular as it once was, but it's still a very important and influential genre within anime. Another major form of fiction in Japan is the tokusatsu genre, which is defined in the West by the Power Rangers franchise. While Super Sentai and Kamen Rider might be the big names in the genre in Japan, a '90s series has been reborn as a mecha to give them both a run for their money.

Gridman was a Japanese tokusatsu series in the early 1990s that, beyond a briefly popular American version, didn't make a particularly huge impact. That's no longer the case, however, with the recent anime reboot of the franchise taking it to new heights. This has included sequels and anime movies, allowing the classic Hyper Agent to get bigger than ever before.

The trailer for the new anime Delicious in Dungeon from Studio Trigger has just been released, giving fans their first look at the food-themed fantasy series, as well as an official release date. Delicious in Dungeon is based on a manga series of the same name, which began its run in 2014 and is still ongoing. Trigger had previously produced a TV commercial for the series in 2019, so fans had hoped they would pick up the series for a full adaptation since then.

The anime adaptation was previously announced in August 2022, and that it would be created by Studio Trigger, a well-known animation studio in the world of anime responsible for a number of hits in the past decade, like Ssss.Gridman and Kill la Kill. The Power Rangers may be some of the most familiar Kaiju-fighting heroes out there, but they're far from the only ones. The anime series Ssss.Gridman takes the core concept of a Kaiju-creating villain to a radical new extreme unlike any villain the Rangers themselves have had to face.

Ssss.Gridman is actually a part of the Ultraman franchise, another tokusatsu series from Japan that shares a lot of similarities with Power Rangers and its Japanese Super Sentai counterparts. While Ultraman is traditionally live action like Power Rangers, Ssss.Gridman is an anime adaptation of a fairly underappreciated branch of the franchise from the 90s, known as Hyper Agent Gridman. The story revolves around a handful of high schoolers in a bizarre world that's attacked by Kaiju frequently, yet no one ever remembers the attacks--or anyone who died in them.
