Just Another Dream

I dunno what Paul Schneider was thinking when he directed this film, but he sure wasn't trying for an Oscar.

A young girl is hit by a baseball and afterward gains the ability to foresee the future. Of course, no one believes her. Okay up to that point.

Beyond that, aside from the poor directing (which resulted in hammy acting), the story begins to land beyond the point of sensible half-way through, and then slides completely down that slope as it gets closer to the ending. The last ten minutes or so it completely jumps the shark and loses all concept of reason.

It's been done before, and far better. No redeeming factors.

It's not the WORST acting, but the dialogue is stilted, the FX are basically a decade old, and the plot is.....a little muddled.

I wanted to like it, and I can see an effort was made. Props to the main actress she did pretty well with what she had.

First off- Who decided on lighting or cinematography? Was the viewer suppose to feel in a dream state for most of the movie,by the color tones & camera focus.

Second- Clichéd with the Native American who is a janitor,but has all the valuable insight.

Third- Was cast with a few decent actors,but was overshadowed with a bad script & other issues.

Fourth- This topic of premonitions,has been done & way better.

Fifth- Apparently instead of sending the daughter to her family doctor,even a counselor they decide on inpatient care.. Wow!

Far as,viewing this movie- Will pass time on a boring day,but not for much else.

I had a bad feeling as I watched the opening credits.... And I wasn't disappointed... This movie met my expectations: bad dialogue, horrible score, and unconvincing acting.

I'm sure someone will like this but it's just too bad to watch. I just didn't care about anyone in this movie.

I caught this on Amazon prime but I assume it was made for lifetime or Hallmark... Or some other cable channel.

Frankly I am being too nice about this rating by giving it 3 stars it really deserves 1 or -10 but let's talk about "Just Another Dream". First off the FX and Camera quality gives off that 2008-2015 cheap fast Android phase that Lifetime Network Went through and sometimes still does. This definitely is no excuse for even the cheapest Television Film in axis channel. Aside from that the acting is ridiculous because we are dealing with Youth in Film Award winning And Grace Award Nominee Kristy Swanson who really needs to fire her agent because these movie deals lately are horrible not to mentioned it seems the only time she gives her best performance is in a Hallmark Movie or PrimeTime series guest spot. That being said the acting seems forced and not enough dialogue editing due to a terrible script and bad direction because even Dean Cain who literally played Superman should know better. Aside from that this movie had terrible editing all around and the plot was not thoroughly thought out. It has Premonition and Danika written all over it with subtle jabs at Poltergeist which brings us back to question of why these actors would agree to this project. Bottom line do not waste your time.
