Seann William Scott in Bloodline (2018)

Trivia

Bloodline

Edit
Seann William Scott's first leading role in a horror feature film. He had a supporting role in Final Destination (2000) 19 years earlier.
Evan records his sessions on a portable Mini Disc recorder. Mini Disc was a rewritable magneto-optical format with small discs in a cassette like carrier. The format was introduced by Sony in 1992 and saw moderate success as a portable audio format, but was eventually made irrelevant with the success of devices such as the iPod. Sony phased out production of the players in 2013.
Bloodline filmmaker Henry Jacobson held nothing back in his feature directorial debut. The career documentary was encouraged by his leading man, Seann William Scott, to take this serial-killer-has-a-baby story in an even darker direction; such encouragement, however, ultimately led to an Nc-17 rating as of the film's world premiere at 2018's Fantastic Fest. With Blumhouse involved, the pic's gore needed to be pared back for an R-rating.
Second collaboration between Dale Dickey and Blumhouse productions. Dale also starred in an episode of Blumhouse's Into the Dark (2018).
The nurse character shown attacked at the beginning of the film in a communal shower, is named 'Carrie': the film has also been compared to earlier director Brain de Palma's style (e.g. Dressed to Kill): in his film named 'Carrie', there is a similarly early communal shower scene that ends in copious blood, similar to latterly shown of this film's character, 'Carrie'. (But, note: NOT of same cause.)
