I mostly recognize Hotdiggedydemon as the creator of the Pony.mov series. Then again, I knew of him well before that stuff. Anyway, this is a rebuttal episode of "Brain Dump" a series I hadn't even seen from him. I had to watch this because it has over four times as many views as the actual trailer for the real movie! This is not meant to be a personal attack on Hari Kondabolu. It is an in depth analysis of why Hari is wrong with his documentary.
I could never speak this tactfully about Hari. It seems like Hari believes in things like video games causing violence. Everyone knows that something is a work of fiction. I myself could write volumes on how wrong this documentary is, without even seeing the documentary OR that many episodes of "The Simpsons". When the documentary's trailer was released on YouTube, it had a higher ratio of dislikes to likes than the most viewed video made by FRED PHELPS. This is a guy trying to at least understand someone who is more hated in some ways than the Westboro Baptist Church.
I wish the creators of "The Simpsons" would watch this video and show it to Hari. Someone in the comments was an Indian-American who said that he likes Hari, but disagreed with him on Apu. In the documentary, Hari makes a big deal about Hank Azaria not getting back to him. Not only did Hari not get back to him, but he actually blocked that guy from all his social media. Luckily, that guy wrote a book praising Apu. Max Giraldi is a wonderful guy for tactfully speaking about someone who is one of the biggest hypocrites in world history. ****
