No different from most likely almost everyone who has seen this film, I found out about it from a reddit post in the subreddit r/breadstapledtotrees. I had no expectations for a film whose primary marketing was a reddit post, but had I, it would have destroyed those expectations. The most indie film I have ever seen (or almost anyone will ever see), the performances and writing are surprisingly good. The color palette of the film is its most notable aspect, absolutely breathtaking to look at from start to finish with its deep blues and purples. What is most interesting about the film is that it takes place in California, but you see almost no people or beings of any kind. The main characters walk on empty city streets in the daytime, and the beaches are barren. Virtually every character seen in the film has a speaking role at some point. This makes it take on an almost sci-fi feel to it that only can evoke The Quiet Earth or They Live. I highly recommend this film if you are looking for a truly unique cinematic experience.
