Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man treated fans to a shocking revelation regarding Doctor Strange and Hudson Thames' Peter Parker. The Sorcerer Supreme fights a symbiote with the wall-crawler, only to create a time-travel arc and a closed loop. It results in a spider from Norman Osborn's lab moving from the present to the past, creating the web-head's origin story.

However, as this mind-bending arc unfolds, the Disney cartoon nods heavily to Avengers: Infinity War, but not in a good way. It centers around a massive plot hole involving temporal interference. It once more shows how problematic temporal conflicts are in comic book movies and TV shows.

The animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge movie did a better job with Scorpion's origin than the 2021 film, as it captured the gruesome and visceral nature of the video game source material. A Cole Young vs. Johnny Cage fight in Mortal Kombat 2 is what the Mortal Kombat sequel needs to settle one of the first film’s biggest criticisms. Given that Mortal Kombat (2021) skipped Johnny Cage, opting to save the character for a sequel instead, Mortal Kombat 2 is expected to heavily focus on Cage – especially given that the first film ended with a Johnny Cage tease. However, now that the Mortal Kombat story has advanced without Cage, incorporating the iconic Mortal Kombat character into the sequel will not be easy.

If you are a devotée of "Mortal Kombat," you'll be happy to know there is an upcoming sequel to the animated films "Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge," and "Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms." The new film is called "Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind," which is another mouthful of a title. IGN has revealed the cast and synopsis for the film.

It's almost the 30th anniversary of the original title from Midway Games and NetherRealm Studios, which is coming up on October 8, 2022. There have been nine games in the franchise, with the most recent being "Mortal Kombat 11." It came out in 2019...

Between the live action reboot of Mortal Kombat and my growing appreciation of the animated Batman films it was pretty much a given that I would check out another of Warner’s animated offerings, Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms begins with a couple fleeing through deserted streets before being confronted by a trio of nasty looking creatures. They kill the couple but Raiden (Dave B. Mitchell; Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) arrives in time to save their baby whom the mother names Liu Kang with her dying breath.

We’re barely a minute in and already there’s a decapitation and a pair of eyes exploding from their sockets.

Fans will not have to wait too long to see Warner Bros.' animated take on the fan-favorite story, DC's Injustice, with studio announcing that the movie will be released on October 19. Pitting the Justice League against The Man of Steel, Injustice is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and is an exciting prospect for DC fans, many of whom have been waiting for an adaptation of this particular story line for some time.

From one Johnny Cage to another, Joel McHale is rooting for The Miz to land the role of Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat As of now, a sequel to the hit video game adaptation is not officially in the works, but fans have already begun discussing who could play certain fan favorite characters. The Miz has come up often as a name many fans would love to see play Johnny Cage given the similarities they share in both looks and personality.

While Johnny has yet to be shown in this new live-action Mortal Kombat movie universe, Joel McHale has recently been voicing an animated version of the character. After playing the cocky fighter in last year's Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, McHale will reprise the role for the sequel Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms. Joel McHale and Jennifer Carpenter are signing up for more Mortal Kombat. The actors are returning to voice star in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms after voicing Johnny Cage (McHale) and Sonya Blade (Carpenter) in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge.

The new film reunites much of the Scorpion’s Revenge team, including actors Jordan Rodrigues as Liu Kang, Patrick Seitz as Scorpion & Hanzo Hasashi, Artt Butler as Shang Tsung & Cyrax, Robin Atkin Downes as Shinnok & Reiko, Dave B. The Mortal Kombat cast has weighed in on who could play Johnny Cage in the potential sequel, and Kano actor Josh Lawson has nominated James Marsden. In the Mortal Kombat reboot, which was released in theaters and on HBO Max on Friday, Johnny Cage was nowhere to be seen. If a sequel ends up getting made, Johnny will more than likely arrive early into the next movie, given the way Mortal Kombat ends.

As of now, Mortal Kombat 2 doesn't yet have its greenlight, so the sequel is still not officially confirmed. Director Simon McQuoid has suggested that this will be up to the fans, but the movie's success at the box office over the weekend can only help its chances of getting a followup movie. Because of this, nobody has yet been cast in the role of the fan favorite fighter, leading to great speculation from fans as to just whom it might be.

There’s a new Mortal Kombat live-action movie out on HBO Max, and it comes after nearly 30 years of games, cartoons, and movie adaptations. With such a long history to pick through, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the new movie has more than a few easter eggs and references to the series’ most famous moments and characters. Why wouldn’t there be? Why even make a new movie if you’re not going to throw your fans a bone or twenty exploding skulls?

We’re keeping track of all the neat easter eggs that fill the 2021 film, from obscure character references to loving nods to the games’ most gruesome Fatcalities. Here’s what we’ve found so far:

Kombat Jargon Cole Young rightfully notes that “Mortal Kombat” is spelled incorrectly. Series creators Ed Boon and John Tobias each have their own explanation for the spelling.

Home Entertainment, and inspired by characters and stories from throughout the iconic DC canon, the all-new quartet of shorts will be included on upcoming releases of DC Universe Movies, with exception of the lengthier Constantine short. The Constantine short will serve as the anchor for a compilation set to be distributed in 2022. More information will be released closer to individual street dates.

One of Mortal Kombat 11’s initial creative blunders ended up being one of its greater strengths in the long run. As a bit of stunt casting, NetherRealm decided to replace Mortal Kombat X’s Tricia Helfer with Mma and WWE star Ronda Rousey as the voice of series mainstay Sonya Blade. Considering the excess of dialogue in the game’s story mode and countless pre-fight exchanges, Rousey’s questionable delivery turned a lot of people off on the character. It’s no wonder the studio didn’t bother giving Sonya any lines when Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath added a second story mode campaign.

Belgian DJ Dimitri Vegas also became a Sub-Zero skin and also recorded voice lines for the classic fighter for some reason. As you’d expect, Vegas’ delivery is bad but also hilarious in a “Why does this even exist?” kind of way.

Scorpion from Mortal Kombat goes after Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes in the new animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, and crossovers don't get much more bizarre than this. Known for pulling in his enemies with a harpoon before roasting the flesh off their bones with his demonic fire breath, Scorpion is perhaps the last character any of us expected to tussle with everybody's favorite cartoon duck. Still, with Warner Bros. behind the new movie, the door was opened for Daffy to make a cameo of sorts at the start of the movie.

During the animation sequence for the Warner Bros. Animation logo, Daffy Duck can be seen acting mischievously, bouncing around and making lots of noise.
