A decent sequel with some funny bits

I enjoyed this movie. Not the best action movie, not even amongst Scott Adkins's best, but still a fun watch. The first movie was a nice surprise when I saw it, and I didn't know there were going to make a sequel, so there goes another nice one.

Accident Man was a violent, well-choreographed martial arts thriller film, with some dark humour hints here and there, but the sequel is more of a comedy, making fun of buddy movies, secret agencies flicks such as 007 or Mission: Impossible and the like. It's like a spoof of many clichéd movies but still they were trying to make an original story and not a collage of previous actioneers.

Overall I think the first one was better than this sequel, but AC2 - Hitman's Holiday is a decent, funny, not too smart but not too dumb, reasonably enjoyable martial arts action flick that goes to show not every action flick is unworthy of your precious time. Watch it with a beer and some popcorn or chips and most of all, with an open mind and not expecting too much of it.

enjoyable, fun, good fight action, Cantonese swearing

It started as silly movie but turned out to be quite enjoyable and entertaining.

The fighting is quite good, all the actors/stunts are good, some are even more realistic and synced than John Wick fights. Probably because the directors are stuntmen themselves, very pro, impressive.

The lead female Su-Ling is very entertaining, she speaks lots of HK Cantonese swear words with an American accent, very fun, 10/10!

Hope they will make a sequel, look forward to that.

The overall story is a bit silly and out of the world, which is fine, didnt look for a serious story arc anyway.

Very pleasantly surprised so felt like sharing it by writing a review on IMDB.

One of the Best Martial Arts Films of 2022

Scott Adkins returns to the big screen in Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday. This action packed, comedic romp, is a sequel to the 2018 cult classic, Accident Man.

While the story picks up where original left off, with Mike Fallon banished from Great Britain, it is easily a stand alone project which offers something to newcomers as well as fans of the prior film. Stu Small and Adkins have teamed up, again, for the crafting and writing of this smart sequel; which accounts for the familiarity and smooth transition from the conclusion of the first film.

Set in Malta, the story revolves around the interruption of Adkins' new life, as he is forced to protect the ungrateful son of a mafia boss, save the life of his only friend, and rekindle his relationship with his maniacal father figure.

Adkins is the star of such films as Avengement, Savage Dog, The Debt Collector series, Legacy of Lies, and, the upcoming, John Wick 4. Scott Adkins is always fun to watch, and he is a masterful martial artist. Adkins and the stunt team have, clearly, elevated the level of action and fight choreography over this film's predecessor. This was not an easy task considering the original contains one of the best "one on one" fight scenes in martial arts cinema, between Adkins and Amy Johnston. In Hitman's Holiday they have managed to make each of the plethora of fights unique and engaging; that is no small accomplishment.

The supporting cast, old and new, is terrific. Ray Stevenson reprises his role as Adkins' surrogate father, while Perry Benson's role in this one is more substantial than his part in Accident Man. Aside from Adkins they are the only cast members to survive the original film. The remainder of the cast is fresh to this installment.

The series of assassin fights are among the most well choreographed and well filmed you will see. Without giving away any spoilers, the "Poco the Clown" fight, with Beau Fowler, is among the most original and engaging martial arts fight scenes ever filmed. There is no shortage of action and the fighting is not hampered by "shaky cam", poor cinematography, or noticeable stunt doubles. This is fight choreography and execution in its highest form. Blood Hunters' Sarah Chang is a dynamic and exciting addition to the cast. The scenes between her and Adkins pay homage to the classic, and memorable, Peter Sellers-Burt Kwouk brawls of The Pink Panther films of the 1960's. The scenes they share are some of the film's highlights, and they will have the viewer longing for more of this unusual pairing. Adkins' Accident Man Sequel is a Blast

The film is, at its core, a martial arts action film. From the first moment until the last it is a thrill ride of some of the best and most unique fight scenes you could pack into 96 minutes. However, the filmmakers manage to strike the right balance between action and comedy. The scenes featuring George Fouracres, the impetus for the film's chaos, hit their mark every time.

I did have some hesitation going into the film's screening because of the absence of Director Jesse V. Johnson, who adeptly directed the original. However, The Kirby Brothers do an outstanding job at the helm of the sequel. Their Direction and cinematography are on point, and, perhaps, more suited to the continuous action and fighting which defines Hitman's Holiday. The film has a unique and distinctive look. While it is violent, it is not dark. While this is not a high budget film by today's standards, you can not tell from the look of it. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Even the soundtrack works really well in this one.

As 2022 races into the 4th quarter Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday is the easily one of the best martial arts action films of the year.

Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday hits theaters and On Demand services on October 14th.

This one is worth seeing. It is really a good time.

A bloody good time mate !

I really enjoyed the first Accident Man, it had a very solid cast when it comes to on screen martial arts including Michael Jai White, Ray Park, Amy Johnston. The story was simple but effective and the action was top notch.

For this sequel it is obvious the budget was smaller, the actors in general less known in the genre as well, but they made the most out of it. Deviating quite much from its first installement while keeping the core of it. Its more of an action comedy this time around, but the martial arts/fight scenes are still amazing. No shaky cam non sense as well.

The characters from the first movie all had their unique traits as assassins but this time they pushed it even further. Ranging from a Clown who feel no pain to a guy who think he's a vampire. Some are more goofy than others but ultimately the fight sequences are extremely well shot and you never feel it cross a line of being "too stupid".

Some peoples have criticized the CGI but it is used rather sparingly. The low budget of the movie kinda show in filming locations as well wich are not the most entertaining and originals you could get, but the fights are so well done and entertaining it makes up for it.

Its really a movie where you got to turn your brain off, grab a few beers and just enjoy. Obviously the characters receive more punishment than any humans could withstand, and their faces would be bloody pudding after all those hits in real life, but if you understand the tone they were going for its really not an issue.

Some peoples may miss the more serious tone of the original movie, wich still had that comic book vibe (it is based on one after all) but felt more grounded and had a much better plot. This time the plot is mostly just a vessel to connect the action. That said personally i enjoyed the direction they decided to go in and focuss more on the characters. With a movie titled "Accident Man" there was a lot of potential for fun stuff and they explored that more here. Did they at times push the goofyness a bit too much? Maybe, especially with the Zuuzer son wich Mike must protect, but its never to the point of being annoying.

Overall i just had a fun time with this movie,. Boyka will surely always remain my favorite franchise from Scott, and i do hope they make a 5th one first but i would be totally down for a third Accident Man.

I didn't mentioned it before, but. Sarah Chang as Siu-Ling was a pretty cool addition and the back and forth with Mike was a lot of fun. I hope she follow in the next installement if they make it.

Ill just finish by saying please support this movie as much as you can if you want more like that. These movies do not have the huge financial backing from the studios as the theatre movies. I even had to manually enter it in the search bar on my Xbox, it didn't even showed up in recent movies and i check recent movies often. I just remembered it was supose to come during the Hollidays so i search just to see and there it was. Only promotion i could find of this movie is by Scott himself and some youtubers wich are deep into the martial arts genre.

    One of his better ones

I saw the first one, and kind'a figured a 'one way plot'.

Just saw the second one. Lotsa great acting. Lotsa great action. Lotsa humour. Characters didn't take themselves too seriously. Or, well, those who were written that way, at least.

There a a few good twists and turns in there. If you pay attention to the details, you can see the end coming. It was a surprisingly good tie-up to everything. I still haven't figured if it was planned that way, or whether they just took advantage of the setup.

Unlike very few movies, I do come back to this one every once in a while to watch some scenes.

What I do want to know, what flavour of Benelli was handled by Big Ray?
