Fans of Disney's live-action adaptation Beauty and the Beast will be able to view the stunning, cinematic event celebrating one of the most beloved tales ever told once again when the film is re-released on December 1 at the AMC Century City in Los Angeles and AMC Empire 25 in New York. The film, which has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide at the box office, will screen at the two theaters for an exclusive one-week engagement. Members of AMPAS, BAFTA, Ace, Adg, Asc, Cas, DGA, HFPA, Mpeg, Mpse, PGA, WGA, Cdg and Ves will be admitted with a guest to screenings at both theaters with valid membership card. The film was released domestically on March 16 of this year and quickly became the highest grossing film domestically and internationally, and the biggest live-action movie musical of all time.

A tiger shot and killed after attacking a dog on Wednesday was revealed to be one of the stars of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus before it closed, a spokesman confirms People.

Suzy, a 6-year-old Bengal tiger, escaped as Feld Entertainment, Inc – the company behind Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Disney On Ice – transport tigers from Florida to Memphis, Tennessee.

A spokesman for the company, Stephen Payne tells People the tiger was owned by big cat handler Alex Lacey. Payne said Suzy was being transported with 13 other tigers from the circus.

Building on the strong overlap between gaming and anime culture, Twitch is teaming up with anime and manga streaming platform Crunchyroll for a five-day marathon of 15 top series including Yuri On Ice, Mob Psycho 100, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, and Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers.

The marathon -- Twitch’s first in the anime space -- will kick off July 27 on the TwitchPresents channel, and concludes Aug. 1, with the full programming slate to be revealed on Friday. To celebrate the marathon, Twitch will unveil exclusive anime-themed emotes for TwitchPresents subscribers.

SF Studios has closed a number of key deals on its upcoming titles as the American Film Market (Afm) gets underway.

Janus Metz’s Borg/McEnroe — the biopic of the tennis greats concentrating on the rivalry at their final match at Wimbledon in 1980 and starring Shia La Beouf, Sverrir Gudnason and Stellan Skarsgård – has sold to Lucky Red for Italy and Cineplex for Latin America.

The film, which has now wrapped principal photography, has previously sold to territories including France (Pretty Pictures), UK (Curzon), Gas (Ascot Elite), and Australia/New Zealand (Vendetta).

Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects (Atap) group, an in-house lab that develops groundbreaking tech in the mobile realm, has just released its second 360-degree short film on YouTube.

Entitled On Ice, the 46-second short succeeds Special Delivery, which debuted last Christmas.

On Ice can be viewed on the Google Spotlight Stories YouTube channel or on the Google Spotlight Stories app -- which launched last May and features 360-degree shorts created by well-known filmmakers in order to show off Google’s mobile Vr chops. (Spotlight Stories is a division of Atap.) Using Google Cardboard, the company's Vr headset, the films can be experienced in 3D.

Amyra Dastur who is currently in Iceland for Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga shot under extreme weather conditions for an important scene.

The actress had to train on ice in spite of freezing temperature for a big action sequence which was to be filmed between her and Jackie Chan.

Since the sequence had to be shot on ice, the actress had no option but to train on it despite the weather conditions. Though it was difficult to perform stunts and move her body, Amyra did not give up and continued to train.

However, Jackie was also there by Amyra’s side and kept on motivating her throughout the shoot because of which the actress could give her hundred percent.

The International Animated Film Society, Asifa-Hollywood, has announced the nominations for the 43rd Annual Annie Awards and "Inside Out" and "The Good Dinosaur," both Pixar movies, led the pack! "Inside Out" received fourteen nominations while "The Good Dinosaur" got nine.

My pick of the year for best animated feature is "Inside Out" but I love Charlie Kaufman's "Anomalisa" as well which picked five noms.

Geoff Klein and Melissa Mira of Montreal-based Bgoi co-directed and co-produced Pinup Dolls On Ice, which they describe as “an unapologetic love letter to all the old-school slasher films from the 80’s. A very well written love letter…”

The story centres on a group of retro strippers who encounter a homicidal maniac obsessed with ice when they are hired to put on a show at a secluded camp ground. 108 Media plans to release in the Us later this year.

“Pinup Dolls On Ice embodies everything that 108 Media has been looking for,” said Nick Burton, who alongside Jordan Nutson brokered the deal for 108 Media with the filmmakers.

Fans of the super-successful flick “Frozen” have a big reason to celebrate today (May 20). Feld Entertainment, Inc. announced that its 34th “Disney on Ice” tour will bring the box office record breaker to life.

Titled “Disney On Ice presents 'Frozen,'" the tour begins in September 2014 and it travels across the United States.

The ice show will feature fan-favorite tunes including “Let it Go,” "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and "Fixer Upper” along with main characters like Elsa, Anna and Olaf who were originally voiced by Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad, respectively.

"In our more than 30 years of producing Disney On Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this," Nicole Feld, producer, told the press. "While it might seem obvious that 'Frozen' is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.

Hit Disney film Frozen is to become a live ice skating show.

The production based on the movie, which has become the sixth highest-grossing movie in box office history, will begin touring in September 2014.

Producer Nicole Feld said: "While it might seem obvious that Frozen is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating."

Tickets are already available for Disney On Ice presents Frozen, which will feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse taking the audience through the film's plot.

It was announced in January that Frozen would also be adapted into a Broadway musical.

Meanwhile, Disney chairman Alan Horn recently said that there have been no talks yet about a sequel.

The movie - which was loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen - featured the voices of Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel.

Kristijonas Vildziunas’ Seneca’s Day, winner of the Screen International best pitch award at last December’s Baltic Event, is one of seven projects - six features and one short - funded by the Lithuanian Film Centre (Lfc) with a total of 4.5m Ltl (€1.3m) this spring.

Speaking exclusively to ScreenDaily during last week’s Vilnius International Film Festival, Vildziunas and his producer Uljana Kim of Studio Uljana Kim said that the film received 1.6m Ltl (€463,300) - 1.4m Ltl (€405,400) for 2014 and a recommendation of 200,000 Ltl (€57,920) for postproduction in 2015.

The Simpsons had a very different feel in its first ten seasons than in its last fifteen. Though the show we see today can provide a quick laugh or Family Guy-esque antics, the show’s earlier run contained episodes that had heart as well as comedy. Taking some time off from his busy X Games schedule, Grand National Champion motorcyclist, Brad Baker, spoke to Uinterview about his racing career so far and his dream to have Ice Racing named an official Winter X Games sport for 2015.

For the Winter X Games, Baker participated in a closed ice race with 2012 Grand National Champion Jared Mees and his wife, Nicole Mees, who is also a top flat track racer, sponsored by Harley-Davidson. The race was filmed and edited into a promotional video to air during the games to raise awareness of the sport.
