This film would leave a lasting legacy at Warner Bros. - the large, extensive and expensive train station set that would be used for many other films for years to come.
The jukebox in the private dining room Chick takes Ruth to across from the train station is a Gabel's Automatic Entertainer with an enclosed horn and electric motor drive. Produced from 1920 to 1928 this model held 24 78-rpm records and each song played cost five cents.
The $64 for Ruth's ticket to Salt Lake City would equate to about $1,470 in 2023.
Per the bill for Chick's meal at the Union Depot Diner included: Salad (lettuce and tomato) - 15 cents, T-Bone Steak with Onion - 85 cents, Brown Potatoes - 15 cents, Biscuits - 15 cents, Honey - 15 cents, Coffee - 10 cents, and Raisin Pie a la mode - 20 cents. The grand total was $1.75, which equates to $40.20 in 2023.
