Kris Jenner is literally “Mother” in the new music video for Meghan Trainor’s new single, released on Friday.
The ultimate momager and “Kardashians” star teams up with Trainor for one of her most iconic videos yet, serving Hollywood glam as the two real-life mothers dance and sing along to the upbeat track.

In the clip, directed by Trainor’s longtime collaborator Charm Ladonna, Jenner rocks her classic pixie cut hairstyle but adds a striking twist — her dark locks are platinum blonde — and stuns in a long white gown with massive sleeves and matching gloves. Trainor, 29, and Jenner, 67, then unite side-by-side in matching black gowns accessorized with dazzling diamonds. The video even features a cute moment where Trainor, who is pregnant with her and husband Daryl Sabara’s second child, holds up her ultrasound photos.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is hitting the small screen with action-comedy series Fubar, which will debut on Netflix Thursday, May 25, the streamer announced Monday.
The series follows a father and daughter who, after learning “that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA operatives for years, realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all,” according to the official logline. “Forced to team up as partners, the series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor.”

Kris Jenner revealed some truths about her famous family on Thursday’s “Late Late Show”.
The momager appeared on the show alongside daughter Kylie, with host James Corden hooking her up to a lie detector test and firing a series of tough questions at her.
Known for saying it like it is, Kris only got a “false” once during the interview, and that was when she was asked whether Kourtney and Travis Barker’s Pda was ever too much.

Kylie Jenner has had a busy September already, but that isn’t stopping the beauty mogul from spending some casual time outside.
At the beginning of the month, Kylie celebrated her Kylie Baby line being available for sale at Selfridges, a retail company in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
The star is also getting ready for Season 2 of her family’s reality show to drop on Hulu, which should focus a little more on Kylie than Season 1 did.
Even more than television and her baby line sales, Kylie is adding new products to Kylie Cosmetics as she and her mother Kris Jenner welcome in the Kris Collection.
Despite the busy occasions, Kylie took some time on Wednesday to sit outside and shared a few snaps with her 368 million Instagram followers.

More than 25 years after first becoming interested in adapting Shūsaku Endō’s “Silence,” Martin Scorsese has finally completed his passion project. The first reviews are in, and so far they’re all positive — if sometimes muted. IndieWire’s Eric Kohn gives the film starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson a B, saying that, while it’s “by no means a masterwork,” it is a “haunting, immersive experience that, were it not for a handful of flaws, would rank among the director’s grandest epics.”
Read More: ‘Silence’ Review: Martin Scorsese Delivers a Gorgeous Crisis-of-Faith Drama
Peter Debruge of Variety is similarly subdued in his praise:
Whereas Endō’s novel allows omniscient access to Rodrigues’ deep internal conflict, the film leaves audiences at arm’s length, forcing us to scrutinize Garfield’s face for psychological insights that, for most, are too complex to expect us to interpret on our own.

All week our writers will debate: Which was the greatest film year of the past half century. Click here for a complete list of our essays. It’s perhaps a little quaint to choose a year that I wasn’t even alive during to represent the best year of cinema. I was not there to observe how any of these films conversed with the culture around them when they were first screened. So, although I am choosing the glorious year of 1973, I am choosing not just due to a perusal of top ten lists that year—but because the films that were released that year greatly influenced how I engage with movies now, in 2015. Films speak to more than just the audiences that watch them—they speak to each other. Filmmakers inspire each other. Allusions are made. A patchwork begins. These are the movies of our lives. Having grown up with cinema in the 90s,...

Some specialty festival events started this week that should be on your radar. The 17th annual Cine Las Americas festival runs through Sunday. Movies are playing at four venues, including the Marchesa and the Alamo Drafthouse Village. If you didn't get a film pass, you can buy individual tickets at the venues if the films aren't at capacity. The seventh annual Off-Centered Film Fest is also going on through the weekend. Special events include a 35mm screening of Jackie Chan's Drunken Master and Harold Lloyd's 1923 silent classic Safety Last!
The Marchesa will be tied up with Cine Las Americas screenings through the weekend, but Austin Film Society has a few other tricks up its sleeve. Richard Linklater returns on Wednesday night for his Jewels In The Wasteland series. He'll be presenting Ingmar Bergman's Fanny And Alexander in a 35mm print of the original 188-minute theatrical version. This...

Will you miss Shawn & Gus’ non-psychic antics? Get the scoop on the comedy’s series finale, then weigh in with your thoughts.
Enjoy Psych while you still can, HollywoodLifers, because USA has decided to end its long-running comedy series after eight seasons. Shawn (James Roday) and Gus’ (Dulé Hill) final case will air March 26, followed by an after show, promising to answer fans’ every burning question.
‘Psych’ Canceled — USA President Praises ‘The Series’ Incredible Run’
The following is a statement from USA Network President Chris McCumber:
Psych has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy. The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series’ incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of Shawn and Gus.

Singapore has picked first-time feature filmmaker Anthony Chen's "Ilo Ilo" as its submission for the Foreign-Language Oscar. It won the Camera d'Or prize unanimously for best debut feature at Cannes in May. The film, which had a Singapore release at the end of August, centers on a Filipino maid living with a Singaporean family in the midst of the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997. Singapore Film Commission director Yeo Chung Chen stated that "'Ilo Ilo' is a uniquely Singapore story...which also resonates with the rest of the world." In other Foreign-Language Oscar contender news, Germany recently selected "Two Lives," starring international icon (and Ingmar Bergman's long-time muse) Liv Ullmann, as its pick.

As most readers of this site have probably heard by now, the late and great Swedish director Ingmar Bergman unexpectedly stirred up chatter on the web when doubts were cast on the circumstances of his birth. Recently released DNA tests apparently show that he was given birth by Hedvig Sjöberg, a different woman than the mother who raised him, Karin Bergman, about whom her son Ingmar has written extensively and who served as a major source of inspiration for the films he made over the course of a lifetime. This article is the most extensive (and presumably fact-based) summary of the controversy, and my purpose here is not to engage in any extended speculation or gossip about what the allegations mean or how it changes our assessment of Bergman’s work.
But given the significance of Bergman’s childhood and family life as it directly informed some of his most important films,...

Well we all knew this would happen. Back in February, when Criterion announced their epic digital streaming partnership with Hulu, they also quietly revealed that their streaming options on Netflix would be coming to an end over the course of the next year. While I haven’t been paying close attention to the Criterion Collection films that have been expiring since that announcement was made, I thought it would be helpful to all of you loyal Netflix subscribers to know that in about twelve days, 26 titles will be expiring on the 26th of May, 2011.

The teaser trailer is heavy on Donner’s original “Superman” and Bryan Singer’s most recent “Superman Returns.” We don’t see a lot of footage from “Superman III” or “The Quest for Peace,” but they are reportedly in the set. We’ll also see “Expanded Edition” cuts of Donner’s two films for the first time on Blu-ray.

My New Plaid Pants reminds us that Michael Fassbender and Steve McQueen are reuniting (Yes) post Hunger for a movie called Shame, which is not a remake of the Ingmar Bergman flick but a contemporary drama about sex addiction. Carey Mulligan, who looks nothing like Fassy, is playing his sister. Filming now!
It just occurred to me that I've been calling The King's Speech "Royalty Porn" for months now. It has a whole new meaning now.
In Contention does some investigative journalism about that gay porn / King's Speech controversy we were just discussing last night. As for Guy's note that the porn was shot before production on The King's Speech began I have no idea what to think. I can only assume that the wall treatments discussed in the film experience interview were done to emphasize preexisting conditions -- Stewart didn't claim she made up the look, only that she...

People here are surprised. They say New York is terrible, inhumane. Perhaps they don’t really know it and are too quick to judge.
This past weekend’s anniversary observance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks led me to browse through my collection of Eclipse DVDs, wondering what would be an appropriate selection for this week’s column on such a solemn occasion? I considered a couple of titles from the Ingmar Bergman set: Crisis and Torment seemed like intriguing possibilities to at least match the mood of that terrible day. But I took a look at Eclipse Series 19: Chantal Akerman in the Seventies and noticed a disc titled “The New York Films.” Though Washington DC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania also bore the brunt of the carnage, it’s always the mental image of New York City, specifically lower Manhattan, that gets summoned up when I think about 9/11. So based on the rather tenuous connection,...

Swedish Star Stig Olin Dead
Swedish movie and radio mogul Stig Olin has died in a Stockholm nursing home.
The father of actress Lena Olin, Olin starred in a handful of early Ingmar Bergman films after making his acting debut in the early 1940s.
His first big screen hit came in 1946's Incorrigible, in which Olin portrayed a boarding school thug.
He also played a gigolo in Bergman's directorial debut Crisis.
He became a moviemaker in the early 1950s, but found his true vocation as a radio mogul in the late part of the decade, after signing up to work for Sveriges Radio, becoming the public broadcasting network's head of programming.
