The original six cast members -- Gavin MacLeod (Captain Stubing), Fred Grandy (Gopher, the chief purser), Ted Lange (Isaac, the bartender), Bernie Kopell (Doc, the ship's doctor), Lauren Tewes (cruise director Julie) and Jill Whelan (Vicki, the captain's daughter) -- as well as guest stars like Florence Henderson, Doris Roberts and Loni Anderson were on hand for The Regal Princess' naming ceremony, which was hosted by Tori Spelling, daughter of series creator Aaron Spelling.

Princess Cruises announced Thursday that the cast of “The Love Boat” will reunite in Florida on Nov. 5th to celebrate the cruise line’s 50th anniversary by christening a new ship. The original six cast members, as well as guest stars like Florence Henderson, Doris Roberts, and Loni Anderson, will be on hand for The Regal Princess’s naming ceremony, which will be hosted by Tori Spelling, daughter of series creator Aaron Spelling.

“The Love Boat is one of my favorite shows," Tori Spelling told Et. "And the fact that I get the chance to be part of the cast and guest star reunion is thrilling."

The highlight of this past week were the breakup scenes with between Gabi and Will. Both Chandler Massey and Camila Banus delivered excellent performances and the writing was about as realistic as this show is able to muster. I loved that Gabi stood up for herself and let Will know she couldn’t be in a relationship devoid of intimacy and that Will’s excuses that he wanted to show her 'respect' were weak at best. And I liked that she told Will in no uncertain terms that he had issues he needed to deal with, and she wasn’t going to let him hide behind her anymore.

Will was very upset at losing his beard.

But, there is no way that no one in this storyline wouldn't at least suggest that Will might be gay. It’s simply implausible. Gabi said...

Yes, you'll do right hiding your face in your hands. You couldn't Laird Cregar your way out of this sad remake of I Wake Up Screaming.

You may think it a shame that the best mise-en-scène in the picture has you out of the spotlight and your face obscured. However that's just the type of capture I like best. This viewer prefers to focus on architecture, lighting, composition and the way they all come together to tell the story. Sometimes they create a far more rewarding visual treat than the other elements of the film.

This is an peek at the way I view films—looking past the plot and the stars to what intrigues me about cinema.
