Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh, and Linda Cristal in Strictly for Pleasure (1958)

Trivia

Strictly for Pleasure

Edit
Jamie Lee Curtis was born exactly one week prior to the release of this movie, with both her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, starring in it.
This is the fourth of five films husband and wife Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh starred in. In chronological order, they are: Houdini (1953), The Black Shield of Falworth (1954), The Vikings (1958), this film, and Who Was That Lady? (1960).
Upon Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh starring in their first film together, Houdini (1953), there was a controversy who would get top billing. Leigh had more seniority, as she made her feature film debut in 1947, while Curtis (who had played bit parts and extras) finally made his in 1951. However, Leigh said that she would take second billing to Curtis in any picture they made together. Hence the reason Curtis gets billing over Leigh in this film.
Linda Cristal was the last primary cast member of this film to pass away (on June 27th, 2020).
This is the second of four films star Tony Curtis and director Blake Edwards made together. In order, they are: Mister Cory (1957), this film, Operation Petticoat (1959), and The Great Race (1965).
