According to the book "A Diamond for Moorpark" by Norma Gunter, the working title of this film was "The One with the Fuzz".
Dick Van Dyke had to wear a fake beard for this picture as his own facial hair was coming in gray/white.
This film was neither a critical or financial success.
Final film of Dennis King. The same about actress Connie Gilchrist. Gilchrist retired from acting after this film.
Dick Van Dyke and Pippa Scott would appear together again in Cold Turkey (1971). Although both movies were filmed in 1969, Cold Turkey was not released until 1971.
