The Book of Boba Fett picks up the threads of the bounty hunter’s untold adventures in the years after Return of the Jedi, paving a new, unexpected path for the fan-favorite rogue. While most Star Wars fans expected the Mandalorian gunslinger to once again embrace a life of crime, no one could have predicted Boba’s big career change from bounty hunter to Tatooine’s newest crime lord.
But this is actually a Boba Fett story decades in the making. After all, writers were already hard at work continuing the book of Boba just mere months after he took a tumble into the sarlacc pit in 1983. Many of those early stories took place in the pages of the classic Star Wars comics published by Marvel in the ’70s and ’80s. It’s no surprise, then, that the new Disney+ series has already established several connections to Marvel comics, both new and old…...

This Star Wars article contains spoilers for War of the Bounty Hunters.
Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters kicked off last month with the untold story of Boba Fett’s journey back to Jabba’s Palace after the events of The Empire Strikes Back. Han Solo is still frozen in carbonite on the Slave I, but when the carbonite matrix becomes unstable (which could turn our beloved smuggler into “goo”), Fett is forced to make an emergency stop to Nar Shaddaa, the infamous “Smuggler’s Moon” located smack in the middle of Hutt space. As you can imagine, things only get more complicated from there.
While the big crossover event connects all of Marvel’s current Star Wars comics under one storyline, writer Charles Soule and artist Luke Ross are leading the event with their own War of the Bounty Hunters miniseries. Soule, who’s penned some of the...

Marvel and Lucasfilm have announced War of the Bounty Hunters. This new comic book crossover event will center on Boba Fett, taking place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Specifically, it will focus on Fett's mission to deliver Han Solo, who has been frozen in Carbonite, to Jabba the Hutt. What we never understood on screen is that it proved to be a perilous mission.
War of the Bounty Hunters will reveal what Boba Fett experienced on his journey to deliver Han Solo to Jabba the Hutt. Running from May through October, it all kicks off with War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha #1 from Charles Soule and artist Steve McNiven. Soule says, "I think it's the best work he's maybe ever done." For those familiar with his work in a galaxy far, far away, that is really saying something. Soule had this to...

Lois Lane killed Hercules!
Well, sort of. Actually Rhea killed her husband, Lar Gand, on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 17, but honestly, who didn't see that coming?
Rhea is crazy, and she's clearly willing to do anything to get her son back.
Well, I guess it is safe to say Mon-El is no longer the Prince of Daxam. Daddy's dead, so that makes him the king. Not that he has any interest in claiming his throne.
So far Rhea's unwilling to kill Mon-El, despite the fact that he is against her. It begs the question: why does she care so much?
Does she really, truly love him and this is her twisted way of showing it? Or is there another motive behind her insistence he returns to Daxam?
I understand that Rhea wants to save her home planet and get things back to the way they were, but why can't she do that herself?...

Written by Nick Abadzis | Art by Elena Casagrande | Published by Titan Comics | Format: Paperback, 32pp
If I said I have been a little disappointed so far by Nick Abadzis’s run on this book that would probably be a little harsh. It’s not a bad book at all, but for me it has at times just been lacking a spark, that little touch of creativeness that makes a book jump from the ‘read later’ pile to the top of the ‘read now’ pile. His characters sound and act right, but the stories for me just haven’t done them justice so far.
The Tenth Doctor #2.5 follows right on from the dramatic events of last month. The Doctor and companion Gabby have found themselves waaaay back in Earth’s prehistory (hats off to Nick Abadzis for using a locale rarely featured in Doctor Who mythology) where they have fallen into a somewhat bizarre situation.

The Bounty Hunters of the Star Wars galaxy have invaded this week's episode of Toy Review Tuesday, as we take a look at the latest figures from The Black Series line, as we gear up for Force Friday. Come inside to check it out!
As a toy collector, sometimes things can be really frustrating, especially since distribution has been a problem for this line in the area I live in. I like the hunt but if a product doesn't make it to the stores, how are we supposed to find it? Luckily at a swap meet this weekend, I was able to find some of the Star Wars The Black Series figures I'd been on the prowl for.
With Force Friday right around the corner I guess it's time for me to get back onboard for this line, so today's reviews are all about the Bounty Hunters!

As previously reported, the Bleedingcool.com folks revealed some new, major spoiler intel for the huge, upcoming "Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction" hardcore, action flick. In this segment, some major storyline/plot details were revealed from an interview that director, Michael Bay, recently gave. In their news report, they described how the plot spoiler interview went, like this: "There is an accident, and Yeager is suddenly under scrutiny from both the government and also from “alien bounty hunters,” something Bay did not explain any further. When asked about the ties between mercenary bots and Decepticons, Bay also declined to go into further detail. Then there is a glimpse of a different sort of action for the movie, antigravity. The bounty hunters come to Cade’s farm with the intention to abduct his daughter via a gravitational attraction, and lock her up. There’s also a scene that was reportedly shown to the Omelete reporters,...

Yesterday sure was a crazy day, wasn't it, folks? First, we get to (maybe) news that Zack Snyder, the often maligned director of "Watchmen" and "Man of Steel," would direct a stand-alone "Star Wars" movie, based loosely on Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai." Awesome, right? You're moving too quickly.
Not so fast, you nerf herder. Snyder's reps were quick to reply to Vulture's original report, claiming that the director is "not involved in any way with the new 'Star Wars.'" This reaction is more or less just a reflex for Hollywood publicists, who have no qualms about lying in order to protect an in-the-works deal.
So what's really going on? Vulture initially broke the news on Michael Arndt writing a treatment for the new "Star Wars" trilogy, so they have set a precedent for having some inside line on the franchise. Plus, we won't hear anything from Snyder's...

The few. The proud. The bounty hunters. Countless offer their services as a gun-for-hire across the cosmos, but only a handful will ever reach legendary status. Individuals like Greedo immediately come to mind as chumps who could never fill the shoes of a Fett. The Rodian bounty hunter was rash and foolish, and the result was a blaster to the chest from close range. This list of bounty hunters would never make such a novice error (okay, maybe some have from time-to-time) and that's what allows them to stand out from the competition and have their names whispered in horror from system to system.
Boba Fett is the most popular of the batch, but is he truly the best there is?
The Star Wars universe is a big place, so obviously a handful of bounty hunters didn't make the cut. If your favorite didn't make the list, let us know!

The Bounty Hunter: "It used to be that a Hollywood Movie Star was a pitch man for his or her own movie. They would stand by their work, and their image was supposed to represent the quality of that work. It seems the opposite now. The Bounty Hunters doesn't have the "Jennifer Aniston Stamp of Approval." Her name is there to dupe you into seeing it. The Hollywood Movie believes that all a movie needs is his or her name attached to it. It's a system borne out of complete and baffling arrogance. There's an expectation on their part that an audience will follow them anywhere, and that the final product is moot. It's their name they're selling, and not the movie. And if the Hollywood Movie Star system is, in fact, broken, it's not the audience's fault, it's the Hollywood Movie Star's fault for believing that we would...

Turner Classic Movies (North America) is presenting a full day of Yul Brynner films tomorrow. Among them is the rarely-seen 1967 WWII spy thriller Triple Cross that pairs Brynner with a stellar cast including Christopher Plummer and Trevor Howard. The film is directed by Terence Young, who helmed the early James Bond classics and, intriguingly, the movie features three prominent Bond cast members: Thunderball leading lady Claudine Auger, Dr. No baddie Anthony Dawson and Goldfinger himself, Gert Frobe. The film has never been released on video in the USA. It airs at 3:30 Pm (Est) Incidentally, keep your video recorders in high gear because other Brynner gems showing throughout the day include Taras Bulba, Adios Sabata, The Magnificent Seven, The King and I, Kings of the Sun and Westworld.
