The Book of Boba Fett picks up the threads of the bounty hunter’s untold adventures in the years after Return of the Jedi, paving a new, unexpected path for the fan-favorite rogue. Marvel and Lucasfilm have announced War of the Bounty Hunters. This new comic book crossover event will center on Boba Fett, taking place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Specifically, it will focus on Fett's mission to deliver Han Solo, who has been frozen in Carbonite, to Jabba the Hutt. What we never understood on screen is that it proved to be a perilous mission.

Well, sort of. Actually Rhea killed her husband, Lar Gand, on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 17, but honestly, who didn't see that coming?

Rhea is crazy, and she's clearly willing to do anything to get her son back. 

Well, I guess it is safe to say Mon-El is no longer the Prince of Daxam. Daddy's dead, so that makes him the king. Not that he has any interest in claiming his throne.

So far Rhea's unwilling to kill Mon-El, despite the fact that he is against her. It begs the question: why does she care so much?

Does she really, truly love him and this is her twisted way of showing it? Or is there another motive behind her insistence he returns to Daxam?

I understand that Rhea wants to save her home planet and get things back to the way they were, but why can't she do that herself?...

If I said I have been a little disappointed so far by Nick Abadzis’s run on this book that would probably be a little harsh. It’s not a bad book at all, but for me it has at times just been lacking a spark, that little touch of creativeness that makes a book jump from the ‘read later’ pile to the top of the ‘read now’ pile. His characters sound and act right, but the stories for me just haven’t done them justice so far.

The Tenth Doctor #2.5 follows right on from the dramatic events of last month. The Doctor and companion Gabby have found themselves waaaay back in Earth’s prehistory (hats off to Nick Abadzis for using a locale rarely featured in Doctor Who mythology) where they have fallen into a somewhat bizarre situation.

As a toy collector, sometimes things can be really frustrating, especially since distribution has been a problem for this line in the area I live in. I like the hunt but if a product doesn't make it to the stores, how are we supposed to find it? Luckily at a swap meet this weekend, I was able to find some of the Star Wars The Black Series figures I'd been on the prowl for.  

With Force Friday right around the corner I guess it's time for me to get back onboard for this line, so today's reviews are all about the Bounty Hunters!

As previously reported, the Bleedingcool.com folks revealed some new,major spoiler intel for the huge,upcoming "Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction" hardcore,action flick. In this segment, some major storyline/plot details were revealed from an interview that director, Michael Bay, recently gave. In their news report, they described how the plot spoiler interview went, like this: "There is an accident, and Yeager is suddenly under scrutiny from both the government and also from “alien bounty hunters,” something Bay did not explain any further. Fans will get their first glimpse of Transformers: Age of Extinction footage during Super Bowl Xlviii, but in the meantime, new plot details have surfaced from the Brazilian website Omelete. The information below does contain some information we already knew, such as the sequel taking place four years after Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager discovering Transformers technology. However, we learn a lot more about the characters and their place in the story, including a reveal for Stanley Tucci's character Joshua, and more about Cade, Nicola Peltz's Tessa Yeager, Jack Reynor's Shane, Kelsey Grammer's Harold Attinger, Sophia Myles' Darcy and Titus Welliver's Savoy.

Yesterday sure was a crazy day, wasn't it, folks? First, we get to (maybe) news that Zack Snyder, the often maligned director of "Watchmen" and "Man of Steel," would direct a stand-alone "Star Wars" movie, based loosely on Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai." Awesome, right? You're moving too quickly.

Not so fast, you nerf herder. Snyder's reps were quick to reply to Vulture's original report, claiming that the director is "not involved in any way with the new 'Star Wars.'" This reaction is more or less just a reflex for Hollywood publicists, who have no qualms about lying in order to protect an in-the-works deal.

So what's really going on? Vulture initially broke the news on Michael Arndt writing a treatment for the new "Star Wars" trilogy, so they have set a precedent for having some inside line on the franchise. Plus, we won't hear anything from Snyder's...

The few. The proud. The bounty hunters. Countless offer their services as a gun-for-hire across the cosmos, but only a handful will ever reach legendary status. Individuals like Greedo immediately come to mind as chumps who could never fill the shoes of a Fett. The Rodian bounty hunter was rash and foolish, and the result was a blaster to the chest from close range. This list of bounty hunters would never make such a novice error (okay, maybe some have from time-to-time) and that's what allows them to stand out from the competition and have their names whispered in horror from system to system.

Boba Fett is the most popular of the batch, but is he truly the best there is?

Turner Classic Movies (North America) is presenting a full day of Yul Brynner films tomorrow. Among them is the rarely-seen 1967 WWII spy thriller Triple Cross that pairs Brynner with a stellar cast including Christopher Plummer and Trevor Howard. The film is directed by Terence Young, who helmed the early James Bond classics and, intriguingly, the movie features three prominent Bond cast members: Thunderball leading lady Claudine Auger, Dr. No baddie Anthony Dawson and Goldfinger himself, Gert Frobe. The film has never been released on video in the USA.
