We've previously seen some of these cars in a Fast Fridays video from Iceland earlier this month, but we didn't know who any of these cars belonged to. Ever since production started on Fast and Furious 8, the crew has been crrying out a tradition called Fast Fridays, where various members of the team give fans a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the footage they've shot throughout the week. Today, the sequel decided to get the week off to a big start by unveiling a video that showcases a handful of the exotic and classic cars that will be used in the sequel. All of the cars seen in this video are valued at more than $17 million.

The video, which debuted on the franchise's Facebook page, features vehicle coordinator Dennis McCarthy, who gives us a glimpse at this incredible collection of cars. While we don't get to see any of these cars in action, Dennis McCarthy says in this 15-minute video that these vehicles will be used in a scene he describes as "automotive Valhalla." Perhaps we'll get a sneak peek at this scene in an upcoming Fast Fridays video. But we'll have to wait and see.

We have previously seen a number of cars in action from the Fast Fridays videos with an Iceland car chase and an epic zombie car stunt in Cleveland. Very little is known about the plot thus far, but hopefully we'll learn more as filming continues. If the brief videos that have surfaced from the set are any indication, this could very well be the biggest Fast & Furious movie yet.

The story will primarily take place in New York, with production set for the Big Apple, Atlanta and Russia. The crew has already shot in Cuba and Iceland. It is believed that the Cuba scenes will introduce fans to Dominic Torreto's Cuban family. It isn't known how long principal photography is scheduled to last on Fast & Furious 8, but we know this will be the first installment of the franchise's final trilogy. Universal has already set an April 19, 2019 release date for Fast & Furious 9, and the franchise closes out with Fast & Furious 10 on April 2, 2021.

F. Gary Gray, who directed last year's critical and commercial sensation Straight Outta Compton, is taking the helm on Furious 8, working from a script by Chris Morgan. The writer is responsible for penning every movie in the series, except for the first two, 2001's The Fast and the Furious and 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious. Universal has already set an April 14, 2017 release date for Fast & Furious 8, and it currently has that date all to itself. But it will be hitting theaters one week after Warner Bros.' With Fast and Furious 8 currently in production, the franchise's social media pages has started a tradition known as #FastFridays, where they offer fans a new sneak peek at this highly-anticipated sequel. Last week, the production shared a new behind-the-scenes video from their shoot in Cuba, featuring stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and many more. #FastFridays continues today, with our first look at one of the new casting additions to the franchise, Oscar winner Charlize Theron as the villain Cipher.

The photo, which was posted to the Fast & Furious Twitter page, reveals that Cipher is a big fan of Metallica, as she's seen wearing a shirt from the heavy metal band. She is also quite well-armed, as this photo also showcases a rack of machine guns. Unfortunately, we don't have many details about the character herself, but hopefully we'll learn more as production continues.

Matt Dillon and legendary actress Ann Margret have joined the cast of Zach Braff's upcoming remake of Martin Brest's 1979 comedy"Going in Style" for New Line. Alan Arkin, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine star as lifelong friends who decide to rob the bank that bilked them out of their hard-earned pensions.

New Line Cinema’s habit of remaking its own titles every ten or so years, presumably to “keep them fresh,” is reaching farther back in time for Going In Style. Zach Braff might not be the first person you’d think of to be directing a remake of 1979 George Burns comedy Going In Style, but that’s exactly what’s happening. He’s now added Matt Dillon to the cast.Dillon joins Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin in the film, which has a script from Ted Melfi. The original movie starred Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg as bored Brooklyn senior citizens who hatch a plan to rob a bank. They pull off the caper wearing Groucho Marx disguises and then significantly increase their earnings with some casino luck. Their story becomes a media cause célèbre, but ill health and killjoy cops but a dampener on their adventures. In the new take, the three main men are retired types who lose their pensions when the company they’ve toiled for all their lives is sold to a foreign corporation.

It took Zach Braff 10 years to get back behind the camera for his directorial effort Wish I Was Here, but it sounds like he's not waiting that long to do it again. Variety has word that the "Scrubs" star who has starred in both of his own films is looking to be at the helm of Going in Style, a remake of the 1979 comedy of the same name starring George Burns. The project is set up at New Line, and Braff would replace Ted Melfi (St. Vincent) as director on the project if a deal can be solidified. Though he turned to crowd-funding website Kickstarter for his previous project, Wish I Was Here, Deadline is reporting the Zach Braff is following a more traditional route to his next film, after the actor-cum-director has entered talks to helm New Line’s remake of heist caper Going in Style. This follows Theodore Melfi’s decision to exit the project, though we understand that the St. Vincent director will still be onboard for script duties of the upcoming retelling.

Released back in 1979, the original film starred George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg, three geriatrics who become so tired with the mundane nature of living out the rest of their days that they decide to rob a bank — because daytime TV really can be a bitch. However, their escapades are soon spoiled by overbearing cops and health problems, but not before the unlikely crew enjoy their share of the limelight.
