The Oscars event is marked by some incredible performances from artists, especially those who are nominated in the Best Original Song category. The 97th edition of the Academy Awards has decided to let go of the usual Oscars performances of the best original song nominees this year.
The decision was made as a response to the Los Angeles wildfires. Fans are not exactly upset about the decision since the Best Original Song category lacked any numbers that the audiences look forward to seeing on the stage. Fans would especially find it in bad taste to see one of the two nominated songs from Emilia Pérez on stage after the controversy associated with the film.

The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) could be the one to unveil Poppy Nozawa’s (Romy Park) treachery to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Will Steffy shatter the sisters’ newfound connection like a wrecking ball with her revelation?
Li Was Ashamed Of Herself Once Her Theory Was Proven Wrong
Li felt a wave of shame wash over her when her theory about Jack Finnegan (Ted King) being the biological father of Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) was debunked.
After Jack and Poppy firmly asserted that they had never been intimate, the paternity test confirmed that Jack was not Luna’s dad.
For fans of B&b, this moment served as a crucial turning point for Li, who now realizes that she has harbored unwarranted resentment towards Poppy for far too long.
Determined to mend their relationship, Li is committed to taking positive steps forward in reconnecting with Poppy.

It began with the spark of a candle in 1941 related to the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons. Wait, a comic book genre?! No one was certain what to think about pages coming to life. The comic book genre has been under siege during "Awards Season" since 1978 when Christopher Reeve made the world believe a man could fly.
Recently, a different Bat signal had been emblazoned across Hollywood's sky, and it is solid gold. Can we stop hating on this genre now?
It probably won't happen as long as people like Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott, Roland Emmerich, and David Cronenberg are helming Hollywood. They're so influential and vociferous against the comic book genre that it tends to make the award bureaus reconsider a person acting in spandex really isn't "acting." As if cosplay doesn't involve imagination.
And so, hate continues against any visual entertainment from comic books and graphic novels.

Even if you've never seen "All in the Family," there's a high probability that you're at least somewhat familiar with the character of Archie Bunker (Carroll O'Connor), his well-meaning albeit shrill wife Edith (Jean Stapleton), and his constant conflict as a conservative patriarch against a progressively evolving world. If that sounds like the set-up for every family sitcom ever made, it's because, well, it is. "All in the Family" is one of the most influential TV shows in history, and that's not even factoring in the web of spin-offs it inspired like "The Jeffersons," "Maude," "Gloria, "704 Hauser,' "Good Times," and "Archie Bunker's Place."
The latter was a direct continuation of "All in the Family," set primarily in the neighborhood tavern purchased by Archie in the eighth season of the flagship sitcom. "Archie Bunker's Place" starts when he takes in a Jewish business partner named Murray Klein after co-owner...

The 95th Academy Awards are behind us now, and one of the most interesting categories was Best Original Song. Winning an Oscar for an original song is definitely a prestigious honor, but perhaps the second most coveted prize for original movie music is the Grammy. Being voted on by two different academies means there’s bound to be a lot of discrepancies between the awards, especially with different voting deadlines and eligibility rules. With that in mind, what Oscar winning songs have also managed to get at least one Grammy nomination?

Send in the tears: Stephen Sondheim is due to be remembered in song at the upcoming Grammy Awards by Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler, sources tell Variety.
The performances, which have not yet been officially announced, are said to be part of the show’s traditional In Memoriam segment, rather than a separate moment during the telecast.
Sondheim died on Nov. 26 at age 91. The Grammys are the first of several awards shows that are expected to fete the composing great in some fashion this year, with the Oscars, Tonys and Emmys likely to follow. Sondheim was most awarded by the Grammys and Tonys — fielding eight trophies from each — and picked up a single Oscar for original song for “Sooner or Later” from “Dick Tracy.”

“And they said we wouldn’t last, but we are still here, motherfuckers!”
With those words, Madonna opened the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, which along with her iconic 40-year career as the Queen of Pop, is also celebrating the network’s four-decades-long anniversary.
The pop legend nodded to her own arrival in New York City as a 19-year-old with an opening segment. “I told the taxi driver tp take me to the center of it all,” says Madonna in a voice over while riding the cab to Times Square. “I came to New York City with nothing but 35 dollars and a pair of dance shoes. … I was 19 and terrified.”

Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers in musical theatre. He has claimed eight Tony Awards (more trophies than any other composer), eight Grammy Awards, and even picked up an Oscar for the “Dick Tracy” tune “Sooner or Later.” It may come as a surprise given his stature in the industry, that Sondheim is still an Emmy short of an Egot. More surprising still: Emmy voters have never even nominated him. This year, he could finally join the elusive Egot club thanks to the variety special “Tell the Story: Celebrating Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins.”
“Tell the Story” is one of many projects born out of the pandemic which shuttered the theatre industry. Classic Stage Company was set to produce a new revival of “Assassins” with an all-star cast, helmed by artistic director John Doyle (who famously directed the actors-as-musicians revivals of Sondheim’s...

Bob Dylan’s music has always attracted an unusually high number of cover artists, both because he’s such a brilliantly original songwriter and because something about the way he performs his songs makes other people think they can do better. This has happened since the beginning of his career, when Peter, Paul, and Mary hit pay dirt by making “Blowin’ in the Wind” sound a little sweeter, and it’s still going on today: The first song on this playlist comes from a new Dylan covers album whose other...

Aaron Carter isn’t sure when he’ll be ready for a romantic relationship again, but there’s one thing he’s certain about: He wants to raise a family of his own one day.

The current Oscar front-runner for Best Song is “Remember Me” from the Pixar animated film “Coco.” It gets leading odds of 4/9 based on the combined predictions of thousands of users who have made their picks thus far at Gold Derby. However, might we be underestimating Sufjan Stevens‘s “The Mystery of Love” from “Call Me by Your Name”? It ranks third with 16/1 odds despite being the only nominated song from a Best Picture contender. In addition to “Remember Me” it’s up against “This is Me” from “The Greatest Showman,” “Mighty River” from “Mudbound” and “Stand Up for Something” from “Marshall.” But does a Best Picture nomination usually give songwriters an edge?
In the last 30 years there have been 15 times when there was at least one Best Picture nominee in the race for Best Song. Of those 15 instances, a Best Picture nominee won 8 times:

Aaron Carter is the first to admit his life has been a bit of a roller coaster over the last few years.
Months after his father died suddenly from a heart attack in May, the singer and former child star, 30, split from his photographer girlfriend Madison Parker, was arrested for a DUI and marijuana possession and faced vicious bullying online for his skeletal frame.
“I definitely felt like I hit a rock bottom personally and emotionally,” Carter tells People exclusively. “I started getting really stressed out about things like my relationship or the expectations people had for me, and then I just stopped eating.

“Remember Me” from “Coco” is the favorite to win the Best Original Song Oscar, but it needs to watch out for “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman” — not just because it’s a huge hit and NBC is using it as its Winter Olympics soundtrack, but because it’s the Golden Globe champ. Before you scream “The Globes and Oscars never pick the same song winner!”, know that they have agreed the past three years and their split choices are a relatively new phenomenon.
The Globes gave out its first song award to the title track from “Town Without Pity” (1961) — the Oscars went with “Moon River” from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” — but didn’t start handing out the prize annually until three years later. The Globes and Oscars matched only once that decade, for “The Windmills of Your Mind” from “The Thomas Crown Affair” (1968).
