Regular Spaghetti/Paella/Butifarra Western co-produced by Spain/Italy with two usual genre stars : Craig Hill and Cris Huerta

Very average Chorizo/Pasta Western shot in Spain with silly and ridiculous characters who mercelessly seek for a loot of hidden gold . Amusing Macarroni/Tortilla or Gazpacho Westen with plenty of action , crossfire , brawls , double-crosses , twists and loads of shots . The movie is running out of ideas a bit ; nevertheless , it is still good enough to be funny . A motley group of thieves as Doc Saxon (Craig Hill) , Dog (Borelli) , his brother Donovan (Cris Huerta) and his band rob the Crown City , but being betrayed by Doc . As he steals the gold and leaves them with nothing . Later on , Doc is imprisoned in town jail suffering a strong pain , as Doctor Janus Saxon undergoes to heal him and while helping him to escape to tell clues about whereabout of the valuble gold . After that , there takes place a number of pursuits to find it . In the chases for the gold intervene various peculiar roles as a young boy called Louis Donovan (the former prodigy child Pedro Mari Sánchez who has a long career) , the fatty Carrasco (habitual Cris Huerta) and a beautiful widow , Deborah Page (Claudie Lange) , the latter using primitive means as an old motor vehicle and a cycle too.

An undeservedly obscure Spaghetti , one of the last from the Golden Age and arguably in comical style grouped as Spaghetti , being marked by a fun and entertaining style with no minimum aspiration , following the ¨Faglioli¨ sub-genre wake , whose main representation was ¨Terence Hill , Bud Spencer 's Trinity is my name¨ . Picture quality fair only , with plenty of hilarious situations plot twists , crosses and double-crosses. This stirring tortilla/Ravioli Western results to be undemanding , packing thrills , shootouts , noisy action , humor with tongue-in-cheek and riding pursuits . Italian-Spanish co-production filmed in Catalunya , full of familiar faces , assaults , exaggerated characters , gun-down , lots of shots and fights . Worthwhile watching for a demonstration of the confrontation among main roles who hold a grean number of treason , antics , crosses and double-crosses among them . Ordinary performaces without recognizable top-notch stars , only Craig Hill , a B- American actor giving a so-so acting , as he married Spanish Teresa Gimpera and lived in Spain . Since then performing several Italian/Spanish films . As he moved to Spain/Italy during the 60's to star in spaghetti westerns , adventure , and thrillers . He preeviously played in Hollywood secondary roles in known films as All about Eva (1950), Detective story (1951) , Black Shield (1954) and Whirlybirds (1957). He emigrated to Italy attempting to get fame and fortune similar to Clint Eastwood . From there, Hill began acting in thrillers , later moving onto the Western genre , where he found his niche . As Craig Hill played a lot of Spaghetti , his first Western was ¨Hands of a Gunfighter" or ¨Ocaso De Un Pistolero¨ , he went on playing : "Seven Pistols for a Massacre" , "Rick and John¨ , ¨Conquerors of the West¨ , ¨Bounty hunter¨ , "I Want Him Dead" , "Fifteen Scaffolds for the Killer" , "Three Crosses of Death" , ¨Bury Them Deep¨, "I want him dead¨, and ¨The Crows Will Dig Your Grave" or "Los Cuervos Cavarán Tú Fosa" . Support cast is frankly good , thanks to boastful Cris Huerta , playing a likable bandit , as usual . Cris played lots of times ambitious outlaws , similar to Fernando Sancho , as he starred multitude ¨Chorizo¨ or ¨Pipperone¨ Westerns , as the quarrelsome , swanky bandit , some of them along with his colleague George Hilton . Here appear important secondaries from Spaghetti/Tortilla or Paella Western , these are the following ones : Carlo Gaddi , Carlos Otero , Luis Induni , Gaspar 'Indio' González , among others .

Being decently photographed by Giorgo Tonti in Technicolor . Mostly filmed in atmospheric though poor scenarios on location in Cataluña and Fraga , (Huesca) , a place similar to Almeria , and a Western village located in ¨Spugles De Llobregat¨ built by Balcazar Productions and in Rome, Lazio, Italy . The film was middlingly produced in short budget by Luciano Martino and producer Ricardo Sanz that financed lots of Westerns . Most of them starred by Richard Harrison , Jorge Martin or George Martin , Luis Davila , Daniel Martin or Robert Woods . Catching musical score by Bruno Nicolai , usual collaborator to Ennio Morricone , adding some attractive songs . The motion picture was regularly directed by Juan Bosch . He managed to make a fluid and filled with thrills , duels , attacks , and shots , though average and in low budget . Juan was a Spanish craftsman , writing and directing ; working from the 60s in all kind of genres and B movies such as Spaghetti Western : ¨Dallas¨, "God in Heaven.. Arizona on Earth¨, "And the Crows Will Dig Your Grave" , "My Horse, My Gun, Your Widow" ,¨Ciudad Maldita¨, ¨They Believed He Was No Saint" , "Stagecoach of the Condemned" ; Giallo : "The Killer Wore Gloves" , "On the Edge" or "The Killer with a Thousand Eyes" ; Comedy : Mauricio Mon Amour¨, ¨40 Años Sin Sexo¨, ¨Caray Con Divorcio¨ , ¨Rolls Para Hipolito¨ and Terror : ¨Exorcismo¨, ¨Secta Siniestra¨ . Rating : 4.5/10 , mediocre but entertaining , though sometimes embarrassing . If you like Chorizo , Paella , Tortilla , Butifarra or Spaghetti westerns , this one remains lightly watchable .

    A hero with patience

Craig Hill plays Doctor Janus who performs the occasional operation on a victim of his favorite brand of whiskey. One of these days, he decides to try a little bank robbery. All the gold dollars fall quickly into the hands of Carrasco (Chris Huerta) and his bandits. Now Doctor Janus is a lazy, patient man - he doesn't immediately follow Carrasco, but waits until a chance for revenge comes along. It finally does in the shape of Deborah (Claudie Lange), and together with the son of a friend, an entertaining chase for the gold begins.

"Domani passo a salutare la tua vedova..." is a western comedy with a better story than most which were released in the last days of the Italian western 1972-74. It's not a collection of cheap jokes, instead it takes its time to develop the plot. That means, it moves rather slow for a comedy and is not as much over the top as, say: "Lo chiamavano Tresette... giocava sempre col morto", which also starred Chris Huerta, but it works better as a western. The title song is particularly memorable when it goes: "I guess I gotta shoot someone! Bang! Bang!" - happily sing along everyone, these are lines to die for!
