Millions of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans crashed the Disney+ servers late last night. WandaVision episode 7 debuted at midnight Pst and 3 am Est, and many fans were not able to watch at those times due to such intense demand. Like The Mandalorian, the Marvel Studios show only debuts one new episode a week, instead of dumping the entire season at once like Netflix does. In order to avoid spoilers, some of the more hardcore fans are watching, or attempting to watch, right when Disney+ launches the latest episodes. There are no Spoilers for WandaVision episode 7 below.
According to Downdetector, over 15,000 Disney+ server issues were reported just after 3 am Est, which is when new episodes of WandaVision began streaming. It looks like things were back to normal by 4:30 am, or 1:30 am Pst. The streaming service had quite a few bugs when it first launched in November 2019. Star Wars fans frantically...

Yesterday brought the sad news that Mad Max: Fury Road star Hugh Keays-Byrne had passed away at the age of 73. The veteran actor hadn’t been particularly active over the last few years, but it seems fitting his final big screen role would be as Immortan Joe in George Miller’s incredible blockbuster given his long association with the filmmaker that dates back to an appearance in the 1979 original as Toecutter, while he was also set to play Martian Manhunter in Miller’s Justice League: Mortal, one of the most famous movies never made.
Keays-Byrne amassed a huge number of credits throughout his career, but despite being a Shakespearean actor by trade, his most recognizable roles came in genre fare. As well as Mad Max, there was also sci-fi disaster pic The Chain Reaction, dystopian thriller The Blood of Heroes, literary adaptations Moby Dick and Journey to the Center of the Earth,...

The English-Australian actor played Toecutter in the 1979's Mad Max, then reunited with George Miller for 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road, where he played the villainous "Immortan Joe." Keays-Byrne is one of three actors to play two separate and characters in the Mad Max franchise, the others being Bruce Spence (Gyro Captain in Mad Max 2 and Jedediah in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) and Max Fairchild (Benno in Mad Max and Broken Victim in Mad Max 2).
In addition to his work with George Miller, Hugh Keays-Byrne also was known for portraying the back-stabbing Grunchlk on the series Farscape and the following miniseries. He was also an accomplished stage actor. Between 1968 and...

Rube Goldberg machines are deliberately complex contraptions that use simple motion to carry out larger tasks. This is a look at some of the most impressive Rube Goldberg machines in film.
Rube Goldberg was an engineer-turned cartoonist who is most famous for the animated contraptions he drew. Goldberg used engineering principles to create fun diagrams of machines which performed simple tasks in complicated ways. Most often his machines were designed to perform everyday household tasks in zany, creative ways. He used a lot of unconventional techniques and materials to create these contraptions.
Due to the fun nature of Goldberg’s animated and real-world creations, it is no surprise that he has had an impact on film. Since film is a visual medium in motion, it is actually the perfect way for Goldberg’s unique machines to come alive. This is a look at some of the best Rube goldberg-inspired machines,...

FX’s “Fargo” got a lot more bizarre in its sophomore season, going back in time to 1979 to explore more ordinary people gone bad. Noah Hawley’s semi-prequel even borrowed elements from “Miller’s Crossing” and “The Man Who Wasn’t There” to appropriate more of the Coen brothers universe. There’s an escalation of violence that spirals out of control from the micro to the macro, which underscores the turbulent period.
Season 2 revolves around a winter gang war between a local crime family (the Gerhardts) and a Kansas City syndicate, all sparked by an inciting diner incident known as “The Sioux Falls Massacre” that resulted in three murders. The chain reaction is what state trooper Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) and sheriff Hank Larsson (Ted Danson) must resolve.
The new challenges for the prequel included getting the period look just right and editorially dealing with a sprawling ensemble cast of characters.

From reissued, obscure first films to misleading marketing, here are 12 film covers that exaggerate the role their famous actors play...
Filmmaker William Castle was famous for his movie gimmicks, from vibrating chairs to plastic skeletons soaring over the heads of audiences in cinemas. The marketers of 1958's The Fly, meanwhile, promised to pay $100 to the first person who could prove that its matter-transportation plot "couldn't happen".
Selling movies to cynical punters is tough at the best of times, and using tricks and white lies to get people to part with their hard-earned cash is nothing new. And one of the simplest tricks in a film marketer's tool bag is to exaggerate an actor's role in whatever it is they're trying to sell. So if uncredited bit player number two suddenly becomes an A-list star three years after a movie's shot, you can be...

The chain reaction of horrors began earlier this month when the 6-year-old son of pharmaceutical mogul Jonah Shacknai was seriously injured falling down the stairs in his father's 27-bedroom historic mansion. Two days later, Shacknai's beautiful girlfriend, Rebecca Nalepa, 32, who was with the boy at the time, was found hanging nude from a second story balcony in the mansion, her hands and feet bound. When little Max died on July 17 of his injuries, the quiet, picturesque and wealthy island community of Coronado, Calif., just across the bay from San Diego, was confronted with its biggest - and most mysterious - police investigations.
