Pretty cool movie

Story takes place in the Hong Kong police academy. Rookies are all in line except Alan the quiet one. The reason for his quietness is from his past which gets revealed as the story unfolds. Through tough training, the rookies grow strong friendship to one another and to their chief instructor. Carmen is a manager at a beach restaurant. She has an on going relationship with Alan. One night the rookies takes justice in their hands and engages in a fight with the mob. Chief instructor resigns taking the responsibility for the incident. Later he is assassinate by the mob. The rookies now graduated and are full inspectors goes on a vengeance match against the mob leaders. Good action, friendship, and romance. Not just your average action movie.
