Great Music and Great Story

Although it is more of a kids movie, it still holds its own, especially when compared to the more recent assembly line animated films being made. The music is fantastic!! I don't care how old you are, you will still find yourself rockin to "Girls of Rock and Roll" and Diamond Dolls." Definatly a must for animation lovers.

Trivia
Production of the movie became too time consuming, and with the deadline for the completed project fast approaching, several scenes in the original script had to be re-written to make them simpler for the animators to animate (including the sacrificing scene), or cut from the script completely, thus resulting in a much shorter movie with fewer locations The Chipmunks and Chipettes actually visit.

Goofs
When the Chipettes are about to go scuba diving Eleanor's eye color changes from blue to brown.

Siri Dharma Galliano(as Siri D. Galliano) receives a credit as "Chipmunk Masseuse."

Alternate versions
The current master of the film (the restored print used for the 2014 Blu-ray and DVD) omits one line of dialogue about 18 minutes into the film (Claudia: "The girls' first stop is Bermuda."), in what was likely an oversight by the sound mixers.
