TV Guide included the series in their 1993 Save Our Shows! annual feature. In the season-to-date ratings it rated 128 out of 133 regular series. Creator John Romano claimed the problem was the 8 P.M. start time as they were not addressing people who are 10 or younger.
Filmed on location in and around the University of Toronto campus, with interiors shot at Oasis Studios in Toronto.
Main cast member Megan Ward and guest-star Gillian Anderson both went on to star in 1990s TV series dealing with UFOs: "Dark Skies" and "The X-Files".
As with many TV series set in colleges or high schools, most of the actors were much older than their characters; for instance, star Jason Gedrick was 27.
Peter Horton, who appears as a professor and directed the pilot episode, also played a professor on the series "thirtysomething."
