A tale about a mountain village and a family in Algeria.

Some words about the director, Mahmoud Zemmouri (1946-2017) ! Mahmoud Zemmouri has grown as actor and director in his country and also in France.Many of his films describe the situation of the Algerian people in their country and as immigrants in France.L'honneur de la famille is a good tale about a mountain village which life is at the beginning peaceful, but some events will change the life of his families, the death of the father, the French colonization, the fignht for the independence and finally the liberation.A tale about the destiny of a brother and a sister,but also a tale about the new political class who will manage the country. In other films of Mahmoud Zemmouri we shall meet again his critical sight and humour about his people and his country.
