The story of Harvey Weinstein shows how what appears on the surface might be completely opposite to reality, especially in the world of entertainment. Weinstein was one of Hollywood’s most powerful film producers until his scandals became public around 2017.
Various global publications exposed his ill actions and decades-old allegations against him, which gave birth to the #MeToo movement, which enabled women of different industries to speak out against s*xual harassment and abuses.

Video game adaptations used to be cursed in Hollywood, owing to many moviegoers questioning their quality. A succession of bad movies based on games left a bad taste in many people's mouths. Recent game movies have impressed gamers, however, by staying faithful to the source material and understanding why fans love these franchises so much. Despite this newfound confidence in video game adaptions, there are still some films based on these beloved series that have been canceled.
These aborted plans for video game movies deserve a second chance. Their level of ambition and clear love for their respective franchises has gamers dismayed that they never saw the life of the day. If a studio were to resurrect these screenplays, they could have the potential to become some of the greatest video game movies, capturing the magic of playing games.

Jean-Claude Van Damme's Kill 'Em All 2 gained popularity on Netflix, and it's largely due to the film's talented cast. The Kill 'Em All series follows Phillip (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a former spy who decided to take revenge against some criminals who escaped from the former Yugoslavia. Seven years after the original Kill 'Em All, Phillip and his estranged daughter Vanessa (Jacqueline Fernandez) are attacked by the brother of one of the men Phillip killed in the first film. The result was an action-packed romp that could be one of the best action movies on Netflix.
Though Jean-Claude Van Damme is the main attraction of Kill 'Em All 2, the movie actually has a surprisingly deep and talented cast of actors. From Bollywood stars to renowned foreign-language voice actors, Kill 'Em All 2 is bursting at the seams with international celebrities. Those skilled actors certainly helped the movie reach...

The Blade Runner franchise includes multiple installments and spinoffs, and there are different ways to watch them, either by release date or by chronological order of the events in the movies. The first film, Blade Runner, was released in 1982 and is set in 2019. It follows Deckard, a blade runner who hunts down and eliminates rogue replicants, and falls in love with a replicant in the process. Blade Runner 2049 is the most recent installment in terms of chronology, taking place in 2049. It follows K, a replicant blade runner, who uncovers secrets and goes on a mission to find a missing blade runner. Watching the franchise chronologically may provide a better understanding of the events.

A few songs into Kings of Leon’s new album, frontman Caleb Followill asks something uncomfortable: “Are we still having fun?” The answer: yes, but maybe in a way you wouldn’t expect. Over two decades after the Tennessee rockers released their excellent debut Youth & Young Manhood, Kings of Leons’ ninth studio LP serves as a fresh start for the band. It’s the sound of veteran musicians searching for an answer as they underpin their characteristic gritty Southern arena-size garage-rock with surprisingly sleek-and-polished grooves. Following the band’s introspective 2021 LP When You See Yourself,...

The John Wick: Chapter 4 soundtrack is a mix of Edm, classical music, and rock n' roll covers that perfectly compliment the action. The soundtrack to John Wick 4 is available on all reputable streaming platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Music. John Wick 4 star Rina Sawayama created an exclusive track for the film.
The John Wick: Chapter 4 soundtrack is full of great songs, scoring the visceral, trigger-happy action with thumping Edm tracks and instantly recognizable rock ‘n’ roll covers. With a blood-drenched, globetrotting adventure involving exploding bullets, dueling pistols, and lots and lots of stairs, John Wick: Chapter 4 is even bigger, bolder, and more brutal than any of its predecessors. Putting together the John Wick 4 soundtrack is a unique musical challenge, because the music has to match the intensity of the action on-screen.

I still remember the exact moment when I became aware of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s presence in the entertainment industry. Although he had played the villain in No Retreat, No Surrender and made his leading man debut with Bloodsport, I didn’t know about him until the VHS release of Kickboxer. That’s when a local video store put up a large poster of the film – which the store’s owner gestured to while telling my mom and I about this new guy named Van Damme, who was meant to be the next action star along the lines of Stallone and Schwarzenegger. We rented the movie… and I’ve been a fan of Van Damme ever since. So I think it’s very cool that Diamond Select Toys will be releasing a Jean-Claude Van Damme action figure next year.

Street Fighter actor Jay Tavare reflects on working with Jean-Claude Van Damme on the movie's set, recalling that he was very "out of control". During the late 1980s and early '90s, Van Damme became an international action movie superstar, working constantly. The actor has been open about developing a serious cocaine habit during the '90s due to the stress of constant movie shooting and promotion. Street Fighter Steven E. de Souza has previously described Van Damme as "coked out of his mind" during the movie's production, which evidently led to a chaotic filming experience.

The early nineties were arguably the heyday of brawny action. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the world’s biggest star, thanks to Total Recall and Terminator 2. Sylvester Stallone was just a little behind him with Cliffhanger and Demolition Man, but the lower-tier action stars were starting to catch up. Steven Seagal had a string of hits and was briefly about to hit the big time with Under Siege. At the same time, the Muscles from Brussels was finding his way into bigger studio fare and teamed up with arguably the greatest action director of all time for one of his best movies – Hard Target, which is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its release.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Trailblazer (Destruction) builds are quite recommended to work upon, especially considering this is the game’s main character and one of the most important heroes in most players’ teams. Perry Blackshear (They Look Like People) will be directing the film from a screenplay by Leslie Bohem, who got his start writing House III: The Horror Show and A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child. One of the many pleasures of “John Wick: Chapter Four” is how it seamlessly integrates camera movement, editing, and action choreography with music — no surprise given that director Chad Stahelski has acknowledged “Singin’ in the Rain” and Bob Fosse as influences. The propulsive score by Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard weaves in and out of needle drops by Le Castle Vania, Manon Hollander, and Lola Colette, whose cover of Martha and the Vandellas’ “Nowhere to Run” ties “John Wick: Chapter 4” to one of its primary sources of inspiration, Walter Hill’s “The Warriors.” The balance between score and source music mirrors and enhances the careful rhythms established by Stahelski’s staging and structuring of the set pieces, and it was one of the most enjoyable aspects of editor Nathan Orloff’s job.

For anyone looking at the film's runtime worried that it would be one simple story stretched out to a huge length, fret not — "Chapter 4" is an epic in the old-school sense of the term, hopping around the globe with its titular assassin (played once again with brooding intensity by Keanu Reeves) as he faces a series of new and increasingly difficult challenges.

Rina Sawayama makes her acting debut in the brand-new John Wick: Chapter 4, and it sure would’ve been a waste if she hadn’t contributed to the soundtrack as well. Ahead of the film’s theatrical premiere this Friday, March 24th, the Japanese-British pop experimentalist has shared the anthem “Eye for an Eye.”
“Eye for an Eye” was produced and co-written by Tyler Bates, who’s also composed the futuristic-sounding scores for all four John Wick films. It begins with a funky, heavy-hitting synth riff that definitely feels a little reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer,” and the ’90s industrial vibes only get stronger from there as the instrumentals layer more and more, culminating in a pretty explosive chorus.
Lyrically, Sawayama’s narrator is on the prowl for revenge: “An eye for an eye, a life for a life/ I’ll see you in hell on the other side,...

Faced with the biggest, craziest Keanu Reeves kill-fest yet in “John Wick 4,” composer Tyler Bates upped the musical ante the only way possible: He added an orchestra to the essential “John Wick” palette of raw, headbanging guitars, drums and synths.
Bates – also known for his “Guardian of the Galaxy” scores – has collaborated with fellow composer Joel J. Richard on all of the “John Wick” music since the first film opened in 2014. “We share some very similar taste, and as friends, we’re just already on a subconscious wavelength,” says Bates.
“If you listen to the four scores, they’ve definitely grown as the scope of the films has. Not in the way that it’s now an orchestra and it’s larger; it’s just that the color palette has continued to develop throughout, still maintaining the fun, hybrid-rock foundation to the score.”

“I was cured all right,” Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell) asserts at the end of Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 cautionary science fiction classic, A Clockwork Orange, and audiences cheered. We left theaters relieved the teenaged thug who’d been beating and attacking his way through the future suburbs of London escaped government brainwashing, conformity, and supplication with his mind, and baser instincts, intact. Good for him. He is free to brutalize and pillage another day. This may be problematic as a working social application in real life, but it is the better cinematic choice.
The film ends on a classically framed shot of Alex (in his mind) happily performing the old in-out in-out with a pleased partner surrounded by an appreciative audience of privileged-class voyeurs. Literally looks like Heaven. It is one of the most memorable and powerful closing scenes in motion picture history. It seems a no-brainer whether it is the perfect conclusion.

There are diverse streaming releases slates and then there is Hulu’s list of new releases for May 2022. There are no big franchises here, no big themes – just a whole bunch of original and library titles for everyone to enjoy.
Hulu’s major original releases in May come in the middle of the month. Candy premieres on May 9 and stars Jessica Biel as your friendly neighborhood axe murderer. If that sounds a bit outlandish, bear in mind that this limited series is based on the real life story of Candy Montgomery and her victim, the tragically named Betty Gore. On May 15, Hulu will play host to Conversations with Friends. This is the latest adaptation of the works of Sally Rooney. After the breakaway success of Normal People, Hulu is undoubtedly hoping for more lightning in a bottle.

I believe in a few universal constants. Gravity keeps us pinned to Earth. Mulder and Scully fell in love in Season 2. And Kylie Bunbury, whether she’s sporting a baseball uniform or a jellyfish dress, kicks a whole lot of tush.
Therefore it’s not hugely surprising when Bunbury’s Big Sky character, private investigator Cassie Dewell, starts to narrow in on the bad guys in only the second episode of ABC’s new thriller. Most of me thinks, “Look at Cassie doing her thing. This tracks.” But some of me thinks, “A) This is very dangerous, so please get away from the violent misogynist,...

Bowling plays a big part in Homer's life on The Simpsons, so much so that it appears in several episodes over the years. Not as much as beer or donuts, but he still loves to play. The episode most people think of when it comes to Homer and bowling is "Team Homer," because it featured the debut of the Pin Pals, the greatest bowling team in the history of the world. That's in part due to the fact that most people can't name another bowling team that they aren't a part of. Other teams from the same episode don't count.

Sequels are always an iffy proposition. There was a time that a hot film spawned an almost mirror-image sequel as a fast cash grab. After it was clear that was not what audiences wanted, sequels grew smarter and more sophisticated. In many cases, though, the first question asked is, “Does this really merit a sequel?” Sometimes, the creators have more they want to say or, after time has passed, feel there is something new to explore.
Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner took Philip K. Dick’s prose work and envisioned a near future that was a darker reflection of 1982. If you're a fan of director Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 and it's stunning visuals, you have to watch this new video from Tested. In it, Adam Savage gives us a behind-the-scenes tour of the set of one of the short films that was made for the film and it's pretty damn cool! I would absolutely have loved to explore the set of this movie, but at least we have this entertaining video to watch. I guess it's the next best thing. It highlights some of the little details that you may not have noticed.
Adam takes us behind the scenes of the filming of the 2048: Nowhere to Run short film that's part of the official Blade Runner universe. From the static set dressing to the functional props and vehicles, Adam shows how the production builds a believable science fiction world out of the pieces of our own reality.

For those trying to work out just what to expect from Blade Runner 2049, set to bow Friday, Warner Bros. has offered three clues, in the form of short movies inspired by Denis Villeneuve's sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic. They are three projects that fill in the gaps between 2019 (when the original movie takes place) and the year 2049 of the sequel. Black Out 2022, 2036: Nexus Dawn and 2048: Nowhere to Run are less complete narratives as much as puzzles waiting to be unlocked — but what, if anything, can they tell us about the future of a...

Denis Villeneuve has been celebrating the upcoming release of “Blade Runner 2049” all month long with the release of short film prequels that help bridge the thirty-year gap between Ridley Scott’s original and his highly-anticipated sequel. Ridley’s son, Luke Scott, directed the first two short films, the Jared Leto-centric “2036: Nexus Dawn” and the David Bautista-starring “2048: Nowhere to Run,” but Villeneuve has recruited Japanese anime master Shinichirō Watanabe to helm the final prequel, “Blade Runner Blackout 2022.”

Watanabe is famous for directing the successful anime series “Cowboy Bepop” and “Samurai Champloo,” and he’s joined by experimental musician Flying Lotus who handles the score. The short film also features additional music by Gerald Trottman, Kuedo and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. The story depicts the lead up to a blackout that led to the prohibition of Replicant production.

The last ‘Blade Runner 2049’ prequel short film has arrived, and it’s absolutely beautiful. ‘Blade Runner Black Out 2022‘ is the third and final short to arrive after both the stellar ‘2036: Nexus Dawn‘ and ‘2048: Nowhere to Run’. Although these shorts gave us some insight into Niander Wallace (Jared Leto) and Sapper Morton’s (Dave Bautista) backstories, this third animated short film actually delves into the backstory of the new Nexus 8 Replicants, and the resulting human revolt that happens because of their creation.
The 15-minute film is directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (best known for his work on ‘Cowboy Bebop.’) The prequel short takes place in 2022, three years after the events of the original ‘Blade Runner‘, and chronicles “The Great Blackout of 2022”, and event that seemingly set many of the film’s plot points into motion. Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment have unveiled a bunch of new high resolution images from ‘Blade Runner 2049‘ to help promote the film’s release. Recently, we’ve seen 2 prequel shorts– ‘2036: Nexus Dawn‘ and ‘2048: Nowhere to Run‘– and with a little over a week left until the film’s release, these images couldn’t have come at a better time. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario) and written by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Michael Green (Alien: Covenant), the film takes place 30 years after the the events of the original ‘Blade Runner‘.
Here’s the official synopsis for ‘Blade Runner 2049‘:
