ChristyFest, a fan festival for all things Christy, is held annually in Townsend, Tennessee.
"Christy" was actually filmed in and around Townsend, Tennessee, a small town near Gatlinburg that calls itself the "Peaceful Side of the Smokies." Many of the buildings still exist, though most are on private land and can only be viewed from the road.
