I cannot rate this highly enough! It's a must for children and adults alike. The books are just as good as the show.
This was one of my all-time favourite kid's shows, and it gave Australian TV exports a good name. The actual premise was genius, and the characters really did seem as though they were out-siders just trying to fit in on Earth. The universal themes like love, gratitude and truth being experienced for the first time were handled in a slightly too corny way, but in general, there was a variety of content, from drama to comedy. Good acting, good scripts and a refreshing idea. Why was there only one series?

- TriviaThe series was originally based upon the book of the same name by Robin Klein (published in 1985). Whilst the first half of the series remained mostly faithful to the book, by the second half the writers began to veer off and develop their own original story ideas and elements. Robin Klein would end up incorporating these new plot-lines in her own book sequel "Turn Right for Zyrgon" in 1994.
